After arriving at Castle Apartments and the rep,left us at the door,and we never seen a rep again until departure time.We were greeted by the owner face with no smile of welcome. The towels were only changed once in a week.The cost for the air conditioning was 30 pounds a week, but we only wanted the air con for the last two days which he wanted 15 pounds for.(not lira). Hot water? Yes, after 4.30pm until 7.00pm.In the morning, the showers were faulty.
When buying a bottle of coke at the apartment bar, we were charge more from two days before, does the owner make up his own prices?
Once the rep picked us up on the last day for the airport, the rep was rude, and was acting in a drunken manor. The rep left us at the airport to find our own way.
We will not travel with Godtrail or stay at Castle Apartments again.

We go to Turkey every year and have done for the last 13 years, it was the 1st time we decided to go to Icmeler. When we got to these apartments i was disgusted, the room was dirty the doors didnt close right, the room was so small i just cried. There is not one thing i could say i liked.I complained about the room and they moved us to another room in the other building it was cleaner but even smaller, we went for a walk that night to have a look about, there was nothing there, i felt awful.
The two pools that they have are dangerous if you have small children, as you have to walk round them to get to your rooms. It was the worst place i have ever stayed in my life, and i have being going abroad for years....
We got a taxi to the beach the next day and i was still in a terrible state at the thought of staying at this place for 2 weeks. We got talking to a couple on the beach who told us to go to their hotel and see if we could move and how much it would be, which we did. The staff there were great and got us a room it did cost us 370.00 to move but believe me it was worth it, we had a fantastic holiday once we had moved and Icmeler is a lovely place.
I will stick to going to were i always go!!!!!

We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and the rep, laughing, just left us at the door, saying any complaints to give them (thanks Goldtrail for nothing) to the rep at the welcome meeting, we never seen a rep again until departure time.We were greeted first by a dog, dirty, lying at the bottom of steps, with water running down, with its food strewn all over the place and the smell was awful.The next was by a grizzly face with no smile of welcome which transpired was the owner. He took us along an overgrown path with broken flagstones to a room which was like a dungeon, no place to look out at only a cement wall.When I looked at the bed and what appeared to be towels, which had no color and rough as emery paper, I started to cry. Now I was not expecting Buckingham Palace, but something clean would have been nice, and this was not. To add insult to injury this so called manager said the cost for the air conditioning and safe would be 90 pounds (not lira) when he knew that this would be useless as the room never got light let alone sun. Still another day wasted and in our same traveling clothes we were eventually moved up beside our friends. Looking out over the hills of Icmeler and the twin pools we thought 'great' until we had a look around the apartment. Self catering? Joke!The kitchen worktop was cracked, the sink was originally a wash hand basin, propped up by bits of planks, and the dirty water which took forever to drain away. Hot water? Yes, after 4.30pm until 7.00pm.In the morning, nWhat eed a shave, boil a ( very poor quality)kettle, got children, forget it.Had enough, the first thing they did was try to diddle me out of some money, when I objected guess who wasn't the flavour of the month. Next, the Friday night dinner, 30 pounds (not lira)each, great. Wrong! I could not eat mine as it was under cooked, but they gave me a free beer which they later added to my bill. Now,apart from our apartments, we did enjoy our stay in Icmeler, lovely place, lots to see and do,and we do recommend it to all our friends. This has been our 4th trip to Turkey and we love it and the people and we will be back, but not to the Castle Apartments

How people can say they are freindly people they are far from that they are rude very rude. The sheets and towels are not changed enough so they are dirty and smelly.
You are ok if you spend day and night around the pool spending your money there then he likes you watch what you say as he calls the rep on you and trys to get you kicked out of the appatments and tells them a load of lies.
This place is a joke we would not be going back there if you payed us.
The air conditioning is in the kitchen area and not in the bedroom which is £30 a week extra good luck if you are going there.

Stayed at the castle for the 3rd time. Must say we had a great time, Ozgur,Fatima,Mustafa and Fatimas dad could not do enough for us. The rooms are clean and spacious the views we had were fantastic. The rooms were cleaned every day by a lovely young lady called Gule(rose) you got clean towels and sheets regulary even when you did not need them. The food is good and nothing is too much bother for the staff. I can honestly say you get treated like one of the family and would recomend these apartments to anyone

This is our 4th time to the Castle apartments and we hope to go again soon. The Castle apartment is run by Ozgur and his new wife Fatima, his dad Mustafa and his Uncle. It is a family run apartments of about 22 apartments which have a kitchenette a spacious bathroom bedroom and a bed settee in the lounge area. I have been before like I said and had my two children in the same apartment and there was plenty of room.
The apartments are clean with clean towels and bedding every day. The views are stunning of the mountains all round and you can see the sea. It is about a ten minute walk to the town of Icmeler where there is plenty of lovely restaurants to eat and I must admit we have not had a bad meal. Ozgur and his staff go out of their way to please you, they are a lovely family. If you do not feel like walking into the town you can eat there the meals at the Castle are lovely and the English breakfast is great value. Thanks to the Castle family we hope to see you soon.

Its long but it’s a must read!
As you read the other reviews about Castle Apartments, you can see that it really is a very good place to stay, and it is! Firstly I must point out that the Goldtrail pictures do not do the apartments justice! Secondly the apartments shouldn’t be 2star, at the least it should be 3star. If you want a relaxing, problem-free holiday, Castle apartments are the place to stay.
My boyfriend and me stayed here in July, we wanted a relaxing holiday, not too quiet, but we also didn’t want it to be a party holiday. The apartments are situated in an ideal location, away from all the “riffraff” but still only a gentle 10-minute stroll away from the centre. There is a slight hill, which leads to the apartments, but it was no problem for us and as a result of the hill, the apartments had a wonderful view over Icmeler.
Due to the pictures on the Goldtrail website, we didn’t really know what to expect but the apartments have their own website (sometimes doesn’t work but always try it) which has much better pictures.
When we arrived at Castle there were two good-sized pools, free sun beds, and a bar, which also served very good food, and never seemed to close. This was great for us, coming back late at night and wouldn’t be a problem for others as it doesn’t play loud music when its late.
The rooms were very good and better than I expected! The rooms were of a good size, especially the bathroom that I expected to be much smaller. The air conditioning (payable locally) was perfect and we had 4 balconies at least 2 had good views.
I haven’t got a bad thing to say about Castle Apartments, they were perfect for me, and I would definitely go back there. Ozgur and family were great; they do whatever they can for anyone! They even cooked me chips at 2 in the morning and gave us lifts to the centre whenever they saw us walking.
I must also say that Uncle is a great character and definitely entertained us! I originally booked to stay at the Bellevue hotel in Icmeler but after reading bad reviews I changed to Castle Apartments and I am very glad I did as the apartments really did make our holiday, especially as my boyfriend got sunstroke for a few days.
In Icmeler try the Wayside restaurant, we went hear 4 evenings out of 7, it was delicious food, and also the Friends bar is great entertainment! For young people there are 2clubs in Icmeler, which are also very good.
I would defiantly recommend these apartments and would go back again!

My friend and I arrived at the castle apartments after a four hour coach journey from Bodrum airport which was a nightmare as there was no air conditioning on the coach.
We were met by a man, I think was called ozkar? Who took us to our room. It was a ground floor apartment with two sets of French doors leading from the bedroom and the kitchen lounge area with absolutely no view except the walls of the next door apartments. There was no kettle only a very small milk pan that leaked and one small cup. There were ants crawling all over the sink and kitchen area and the room itself presented very dark and quite depressing! ......no sun light in this room.
The next morning we told the reception rep that we could not stay in that room and wanted to move to another, she was very nice and understanding and told us we could probably have another later on that day. Ozkar told us much later on in the day that he would take us to a different room..........tomorrow!
We never even unpacked our suitcase and felt we could not start our holiday.
The next day we were moved, but we still had to go and ask and were then taken to a room I think they call the penthouse which had no comparison to the previous room. Stunning views from the very private balcony and plenty of room.
Fresh towels and bedding every day were left by the maid and the room itself was bright and airy, although the ceilings are quite low, not good if you are a six footer!!
But it was a massive improvement on the basement apt.
I got talking to another guest who had a basement room and he too asked to be moved to another so I was glad it wasn’t just us being fussy.
The castle apartments were ok if you want a quiet holiday and as long as you don’t get that basement room!

After much shopping around before we left we found a great deal with Goldtrail holidays and we were not disappointed.
For the price of under £300 each for a fortnight we were not sure what we'd get. We were looking for something out of the way and on the quiet side. We booked the castle apartments after the brochure description said about the views of the village. We had the 'penthouse' the apartment - this was 4 floors up but if you can manage the stairs it's defiantly worth the view and the private balcony.
We were well looked after with Ozgur and his team all making us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. During our stay there were a mixture of couples, families and singles holidaying these apartments definitely appeal to different holiday makers and being 2 girls on our own we definitely felt safe.
We found the village to be 10 minutes wander but this is at a pleasant pace. The small hill to the apartments can be a bit of a killer but just try not to do it in 40 degree heat!
De Javu restaurant was a favourite and is one of the first places you pass on the way into the village - all the guys make you feel very welcome.
