We have just returned from a week at "The Elite" and we had a wonderful & relaxing time. Poppy, Makis and Lola make you so welcome and I've never known the owners of a place look out for their customers the way these guys do. I can see why people return year after year.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and airy. Close the shutters during the day and they stay nice and cool for the evenings.
The pool area is fairly small but really nice with it. You'll never find yourself having to get up early to put towels out, a) because there are no Germans, and b) because there's enough room for everyone.
The poolside service is always with a smile and there is a lovely covered table & chairs area by the poolside if you want to sit in the shade and do your suduko, or if the kids want to play on their PSP / DS.
Food from the poolside bar is great & really tasty and you've just got to try Poppy's breakfasts.
In the evenings, the poolside bar is a really relaxing place to hand out and meet new friends. We are quiet people, but we got to know so many lovely people while we were there.
If you want a nice meal, the Sunset Restaurant is just next door and Tommy gives Elite residents a 10% discount. Mushrooms a'la Creme are awesome and the fillet stakes are divine.
You can see a lot of EU money has been spent on Kos Town and it's a really nice place to spend some time. The locals are all really lovely people too.
We'll definately be going back. Highly, highly reccomended.

Never go in October
9 / 10
Nov 2009, Hazlyn

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the apartment. The maid cleaned each day, made up our beds and the towels were changed at least twice during our one week stay. The cooking facilities were adequate for our needs and there were supermarkets and bakeries close by.
I found Kos to be more expensive than I had expected. I was the only adult with two teenage children. Eating out cost in the region of £50 per meal for the three of us, which adds up over the course of a week. Also the owners of the Elite Apartment are keen to get as much cash out of you as they possibly can, so be warned that you will not be getting any thing for free. We stayed the very last week of the season, we were the last people to leave the apartments and so no one would be staying after us, and yet I was charged 30 euros to keep the room for 6 extra hours after noon on our departure date. I also found that the exchange rate was such that it was cheaper to use the cashpoints in Kos than to bring Euro's with me.
However the reason that I am writing this review is to warn other unseasoned travellers... do not go to Kos in October! It rains, and rains and there is nothing to do in Kos when it rains!

Just got back from 2 weeks at Elite Apartments. Makis & Poppy make you feel very welcome staying up all night to welcome new customers. The apartments are very clean indeed and are spacious, light and kept well. The maid comes 5 days a week and changes linen and towels on a regular basis, the best bit being that she doesn't come early in the morning disturbing you after a good night out!! Simply put your "don't disturb" sign on the door and she will come back later. Situated in a great place on the road into the harbour. The only slightly annoying thing is a bit of noise during the day from the road as you lay by the pool but this is nothing really, you get used to it. Just 5 minute stroll to the lovely Lambi beach where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and watersports etc. Also just straight down the road, a 10 minute stroll to the harbour and main town with bars on the way! The pool is big enough for a swim and the pool bar serves great food and drinks all day with Lola giving you good service, she likes to practise her English on you! Poppys brother Tommy has the restaurant next door with great steaks etc and they will give you 10% discount as an Elite customer. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment complex for the great position, cleanliness, and overall welcome and friendliness, nothing is too much trouble. Book it, you'll have a great time!!

This was a fantastic hotel, clean, spacious and comfortable. Ideal location for Bar street and the harbour. If you go, you have to eat in Sunset, its the restaurant next door owned by Poppy's brother Tommy. The swordfish is great!! You also get a 10% guest discount which is great. Supermarket directly across the street, ideal for all amenities, 5 minute walk from the beach. Great night life at night and an ideal place to relax during the day. Excellent, 10/10.

My friends and myself have just got back from Kos, it was amazing! The hotel was beautiful. It was clean and modern with regular maid service.
The owner’s Poppy & Maki were the loveliest people you will ever meet. One of my friends was actually ill for the majority of our holiday, but we found the owners were so caring. They really are genuine nice people, and the hotel has that personal touch which I found really made the holiday!
We were situated in the perfect spot. Opposite was a super market, 5mins down the road was the beach and the road we were on was full of shops bars and restaurants! About 20mins away from bar street as well, which is fantastic for younger holiday makers.
I did find however that the Elite was far enough away from the busy town for everyone to get a good night’s sleep
Also are Rep Steve was brilliant, so if you’re thinking of booking a holiday in the elite I hope Steve is still there! You'll have a good laugh with him
Definitely recommend it!!
Also go to Shenanigans Irish bar down the road! Ask for Theo! Guaranteed a good night, family’s couples old and young!

My Fiancé and I had been to Kos Town...

My Fiancé and I had been to Kos Town the previous year, had a great time but the hotel wasn't brill, so we decided to visit Kos again and found this hotel and I'm glad we did.
When we first arrived we were greeted by Poppy and she was fantastic.
Makis' cocktails are to die for! I think I must have gone through all 101 of them during the weeks stay. (Some are non-alcoholic).
Location was good, just a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the middle of Kos town but just far enough not to be disturbed by the noise.
There is a good supermarket opposite to buy all your essentials.
Definitely recommend to anyone!

The apartments were lovely, as were the owners, Poppy and Maki. I felt a bit strange at first because my son and I were on holiday on our own for the first time but the made us feel really at home.
The taverna next door served lovely food and had good service. We also got a discount because the taverna is owned by Poppy's brother! The island itself is beautiful and it is well worth exploring and going on a boat trip to some of the other islands. I will certainly be back.

This was our first holiday abroad on...

Aug 2005, Miss C Underhill

This was our first holiday abroad on our own, no parents.. as 4 young girls, we were excited but a little nervous, as to what to expect, but we need not have worried.
The apartments were amazing, very clean and comfortable, the English speaking hosts poppy and makios made us feel very welcome they were very warm and friendly, like home from home... our surrogate parents.
Would certainly go back there again. great night life.. all rooms had balconies, with a choice of air conditioning, a great pool with sunbeds, loved it all, wished we could of stayed longer.

These apartments were just fantastic...

May 2005, Mr j Baker-Sherman

These apartments were just fantastic the owners Poppy and her husband Makis are just the loveliest people and the apartments themselves I personally rate as the best in Kos.
Its about a 10min walk to the beach and if you want to be close to the main bar street area these are ideal its about a 15-20min walk also if you like trips and stuff its the same because if you’ve never been to Kos all this is located in the main harbour area. These apartments made the stay even more worthwhile for us because they are just pure luxury and you don’t always get that on holiday.
There’s a taverna right next door as well and the food is just to die for I enjoyed my stay at elite and I’m sure you will too!
