Kontessa Apartments

Myself, my husband and 2 children spent 2 weeks on this glorious island. We thought the complex was wonderfully clean the owners lovely and we have already re-booked for next year. We met some great friends out there, 1 family who we are going back with next year. The resort is quiet, but that’s just how we like it. The pool was never packed and the facilities were just as we needed. Fantastic.

Although it was it the heart of the action the studios were very basic and not that clean.
Showerhead also broken so had to hold it above your head whilst trying to dodge the mosquitoes. Ground floor studio meant that people could very easily gain access into your room from the street.
Also right next door to the main club on the island (status) so if its sleep your after don’t come here!

I enjoyed our holiday so much that we have bemy daughter and en back every year. The apartments are quiet, but not out of the way. They are family run and are very clean, rooms are comfortable (no a/c, but fans are available). The staff always go out of their way to help and get you what you need.
Lots of trips to go on (although usually Kefalos is the first pick up and last drop off on the bus, which can sometimes make a long day), Greek night is good fun, Island cruise is relaxing and a trip to Turkey is recommended.
Most restaurants toward the harbour end of town are great, Golden Fleece, Aussie BBQ, Stop, Captain Johns are all great. Most bars are pretty good, although they were quite quiet last time we were there, although this was pretty much the same all over the island.
The beach at Kefalos is OK, but there are some stunning ones nearby (Bubble, Paradise beaches) and others you have to discover for yourself!
Quads are good fun, and you will feel safer than you think due to the lack of traffic at this end of the island.
