Wyndham Sunshine Suites Resort Hotel

We moved to the Sunshine Suites the last two days of our trip after a business event ended. The rooms were clean and no thrills. The staff was very attentive. The only drawback was the noisy. The wind whistled against our bedroom window almost the whole time. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beautiful seven mile beach so it's only a short walk. Stayed at Sunshine Suites on Grand Cayman Island Oct 18-25,2006 and completely enjoyed the facility, people and location just off 7 Mile beach. Snorkelling was the game and we went 3x daily to the reefs off Dive Tech near the Turtle Farm..Cemetery Beach, Smith Cove and along the waterfront downtown Georgetown. Dive Tech and Cemetery were the best for us. Drove to East End and Rum Point and will definitely return to East End next trip to see the Tarpan off Reef Resort dock where they feed them daily. stayed for one week from 21st April. The rooms are pretty comfortable with limited kitchen facilities if you've a mind to cook but the fridge is very useful. The pool isn't the biggest but adequate and you are only 200m from the beach. The Sunshine Grill was friendly with very good, if limited menu. Specials most nights with steak and lobster tail on Saturday, recommended. We were expecting more, I guess. The rooms were adequate and the maid service was great. The staff was friendly and the grounds well kept. There was a never ending procession of huge gravel trucks going in and out next door that was annoying. The worst part (for us anyway) were the loud kids. The place was swarming with children of all ages, many were in groups of 20 or so. They totally took over the pool area (even of an evening) so we never did get to swim in the pool. Could not have been happier! This place is affordable and great! It is across from the beach, and the people realy know how to treat guests. Great little bar with good food. Without a doubt this could be the best deal on the island. The suites were clean and fresh.. full kitchens so we were able to cook when we wanted. Stores are closeby. I will stay there again!
