great location,great people and the old man on the beach who does the sunbeds is a real gentleman. close to bars and restaurants. room ok as that is what it is a room we a shower and a toilet in we just a door,sophia the maid very nice shame about the bloke who helps her clean (maybe her husband) rude and upset 1 guest to were she was crying as he was very confrontational with her. no air con unless you pay 50euros upon arrival. not had much sleep as the apartments were all full of 18-21yr olds playin loud music at all hours and girls giggling and screaming,at one time the people who live next door had the police come to tell them to be alot quieter and to calm there behaviour. we met a couple there who had a couple of days left,when it came to them to checkout at 12 noon they left there bags downstairs and went into town as there flight wasnt until 3.20am,we told them that they could use our room later that night to shower and change before they went for there flight,the bloke went first and all was ok then his wife on her way back down the chap who cleans got right up close to her face and started shouting at her about were she:d been she tried to get past him and he put his broom in her way to stop her from leaving the apartment,he went mad because we'd allowed them to use our shower,ruined there holiday. there very money orientated and it was all ova not payin an extra 30euros for a late checkout,it happened again 2days later we a group of lads and girls,they paid the extra 30euros for a late checkout to keep all there bags safe and the bloke kicked off cos the girls stuff was in the room

Loved the holiday! Apartments nice and clean enough,but the wee caretaker on the beach was over friendly! He kept appearing no matter what time of the day (or night) we were 2 women on holiday alone and found him 2 be a pest and quite scarey.On the last night,we discovered what looked like a cctv camera in our balcony! No wonder the wee guy knew when we were in!This shocked us to think we had been sunbathing on the balcony,and he could've been watching! Yuck!The beach was lovely,untill we tried to go in the water and cut our feet on the rocks underneath the water,so be careful.I got eaten alive by mosquitos although my mate only had 4 or 5 bites! Didn't matter what creams or repellents I used they still got me! All in all we had a brill time,but the flight times were awful.We wouldn't go again,but we're glad we did go(if that makes sense)

After reading the comments of other holidaymakers, we were very nervous about our proposed stay at the hotel.



We were agreeably surprised. The apartments were spotless and the maid Sofia very good and helpful.



The gentleman on the beach with the sunbeds was a real character and looked after us very well. The alleyway described is neither dark nor dingy. It is well lit and very clean. The apartments were very well equipped and comfortable.



First Choice were useless. Only saw the rep once and found the airport reps surly and bad-tempered.

We stayed here for a week and found the Emiliana very comfortable, clean and in an excellent location right on the beach.



Our room was on the second floor with a balcony with sea/beach view. It was cleaned and tidied on a daily basis by a friendly lady called Sofia who really looked after us.



There was air-con at an extra charge but we slept with the balcony door open so it was nice and breezy and we could hear the waves washing up the beach. The room had basic kitchen facilities but we only really used the fridge to cool our drinks as Kardenema has so many good places to eat.



There are sun-loungers right outside the apartments on the beach at a small cost of 2.50euros per day. We didn't even need to pack a big beach bag; we just popped up to the apartment if we needed to get a drink, etc.



I think we were lucky with our neighbours because everyone seemed so friendly and no-one was noisy or a nuisance. And because the apartment is less than a 2 minute walk from the bar street, it was conveniently located for bars and restaurants but far enough away from the loud music and merriment (for those of you who want quiet nights in!)



These apartments would suit people in their mid twenties and up. For the younger or rowdier crowd, the Seva would be a better option.



I would definitely stay at the Emiliana again.

Well. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Emiliana. Other than the neighbours who kept knocking on our door and running off, I thought the rooms were well looked after by the very polite maid, Sophia.



I was a bit shocked that there was no reception, but the rep did visit and if we had any problems she was able to help. However, she did only come 2 times in the whole week. The downstairs was a bit of a state and the room where you are meant to keep your suitcases when you are kicked out of your room is full of cockroaches. Instead of this, we took our suitcases to our evening meal at Hellas where they were very understanding.



The rooms were very basic with a kitchen just being a part of the wall in the bedrooms but the view is amazing. Even though there isn’t a pool, there is a public pool which is clean, just a few minutes down the road from the apartments.



The nightlife and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away.



Overall, the apartment is what is expected for a 2* but myself and my group very much enjoyed our stay at the Emiliana and would go back again.

The apartments & location are exactly as advertised in the first choice brochure, basic but very clean and well maintained. We did not see much of the rep, by choice, but she was very helpful and accessible when we did need her. We were a family of 4 with 2 children under the age of 14 and yes, sometimes at night we did experience problems with the noise of groups returning from 'bar street' at about 4 or 5 am but this usually only lasted about 1/2 hour, the rep did have a word and ask them to be considerate. The resort itself was excellent, plenty on offer for all ages, there are excellent, quiet bars and beach areas away from the main drag.


The only thing I would point out about the accommodation is that the lack of real air conditioning (there are only ceiling fans moving warm air around) can make sleeping difficult, especially in the sort of heat we experienced, we ended up buying an extra fan (€15) to try to cool things down a bit.


Would we visit there again - definitely. Would we stay at Emiliana again - yes but when it is a bit cooler.

I have just recently come back from Kos and I aswell as five other friends thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.



Before going to the emiliana apartments I read the rather off putting review above and I must admit it did scare me a little. But as we arrived at the hotel I remembered what the report said about the dark ally way and was prepared for it but as we arrived there was no real dark ally way it was well lit with street lights and the apartments looked fine. Upon entering my room I was very pleased as the room was immaculately clean and provided all the facilities needed for a self catering holiday. Another four of my friends stayed in the room next door and that too was clean and had beautiful views of the beach and sea.



The only strange thing about the hotel was the fact that it had no staff working there other than the cleaner (who was lovely and did a great job) and there was no reception. The rep came bang on time to the welcome meeting and was around at specific times every day incase we needed her.



What I would say is that the emiliana apartments can be very lively and they are brilliant if you want a holiday where you go out drinking every night, but it is not really for families, but I think this also applies to the who of kardamena as it is a very lively place.



I had a brilliant holiday and would recommend the emiliana apartments to anyone who wants to have a great lads or lasses holiday!!!!

After waiting for 11 months to go on my first holiday with my partner the day came and we were so excited to be going on what we thought was going to be the best holiday ever but turned out to be the worst id ever been on.



After arriving at the airport in Greece it was very hot and very crowded. The transfer to the hotel was very quick and made very comfortable.



when turning up to the hotel our initial reaction was not good we pulled up outside a dirty alley way and I didn’t think that we would be going down there to get to our apartment but yes I was wrong, off of the coach we got with the rep and down the alley way we went we got to the front of the Hotel and I had to think, it will be nice inside and the view will be great.



there were no lifts and we were on the top floor, there were 3 men and 1 girl and the rep, the rep walked passed my other half on the stairs struggling with her case I then after taking mine up had to go back for hers.



we got into the room and I was disgusted, I mean I know it was only a 2 star but even for that I wouldn’t expect to find the light hanging for the roof with all the electrics hanging out and plug sockets with no cover over them being covered up by sellotape I mean what a hazard that was and to top it of we were over looking the dirty alley way with people that lived in the area opposite us.



I was very upset to say the least and my partner for her first holiday though she had been ripped off.



we got a card to say that we would have a meeting with the rep at 11am the next morning so after a long journey we just relaxed for the evening and thought we would speak to the rep in the morning, well we sat down stairs waiting for the rep and 12.00 arrived and no rep was to be seen I couldn’t believe it I mean how bad did this holiday want to start off. I and my partner just had no idea as to what was going on, we didn’t know where to go to do things and what to avoid.



the next morning I heard the rep down stairs so I spoke to her about the apartment and about the electric’s she said that she could understand but there was nothing she could do, I want happy with this but I was on holiday and wanted to make the most of it without a lot of fuss.



after the holiday being what we have made it and being there for 3 days we then started to get annoyed with the people on the second floor, they would make excessive noise all night, after the 4th night I complained to the rep and she asked them to keep the noise down well they didn’t then another couple in the block complained but again the noise didn’t stop, we were up every night from around 4 in the morning to about 6 when the noise finally stopped by this time we would be think it was time to be getting up. well they final left and we thought that was the end of it but no we then get another group of children who on the first night they were there thought it would be funny to bang on our door at 4 in the morning then they were banging on the peoples door next to us and threatening them again we complained to the rep and they were given a warning straight away as we weren’t the only people to complain another 2 nights and that was it the other couple that complained had been moved and we complained again the rep gave them a formal warning and they were told that if they do it again then they have to go home, well that night was the worst they got on to our balcony and I had clothes taken they were noisy all night, the next day we had a trip to go on, after a horrible day of me and my partner arguing as we were so tired, we got back and I called the rep office, our rep was day off but had agreed to come and see us, we meet her in the pub and told her what had happened and said we needed to be moved as we hadn’t slept since we had been there. the rep then said that she couldn’t move us and the only way we could move is if we paid for the alternative accommodation, I was discussed and asked that is she couldn’t move us then get us a flight home well she couldn’t even do that she told us we were on our own basically, I thought and I thought and I came to the conclusion I was not listening to my partner cry her self to sleep when we are on holiday so we pack our things and went to the airport, we then had to pay £300 euros to get home.



upon returning I spoke to the travel agent and they said that there was no point in complaining to the company as they wouldn’t pay up for the flight so I left it there but now am very reluctant to book another holiday incase I get the same thing.



I would say to anyone that is thinking of booking a holiday not to book through first choice and not to stay at the Emiliana hotel it’s not nice and it’s not got a sea view unless you pay extra for it.
