i stayed here sept 2010 it is a lovely hotel the food ok but ate out as well cause u got bored wit the same food,my only faults i can say is that u cant get a sunbed i went down at 7 in the morn and cldnt get 1 we were talking to some 1 and they say they go down at 5and put... more

Spent two weeks here in October with the family. Best Hotel that we have been to yet. Lovely and clean, pool area was spotless. Staff were very helpful and the sports people were super - we had lots of laughs with them - they really made our holiday. The pools were lovely... more

When arriving at this hotel i thought it looked very nice. Walked into reception and it was very nice. Waiting to be served at reception for 10mins. There was a few familys infront. On a busy day you would think there would have more than two staff dealing with reception.... more

Just got back from holiday after 2 smashing weeks at this hotel. This was our second visit (sister, niece and great niece aged 7). Rooms could do with a bit of a revamp as although clean they are not a patch on the sister hotel Vulcano. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but everything else was superb especially the food. Can't diet at this hotel. Roll on next year. more

It was my first stay in the Bitacora and I hope to be back. Staff was very friendly; they even prepared breakfast for us when we left at 4 in the morning! It's only 5 minutes to walk from the Bitacora to the beach, perfect. Only negative thing I could find was that the pool area was too small, but who wants to stay there with that lovely sea nearby? more

Excellent accomodation which was clean and had everything we needed. If we had to critise to rooms were starting to look a bit tired. Restrurant was great with friendly helpful staff. Our family are fussy eaters and there was so much choice there was something for everyone with a chance to be adventurous if you fancied. Swimming pool was great with plenty of sun beds. But beware visiters get up early to put a towel on sun beds they want to reserve. The other childrens facilities were great our children are 3 and 6 years and there was plenty... more

Just got back from 12 days in Tenerife split between El Medano at another hotel and Arona at the Bitacora (first week of March) with my wife and 2 kids (4 years and 9 months). We had a nice experience at the Bitacora. The rooms were good sized and clean - they sleep up to 4 (double bed, day bed, trundle bed) and have a private balcony. We paid just under 200 euros for a room including breakfast and dinner (2 adults and one child - the baby was free). The food was very good - a great selection of well prepared food for dinner... more

Just got back from a weeks stay at the hotel bitacora. I can not reccomend it highly enough, with the only negative factor been poorish entertainment,though the surrounding area has plenty going on. The rooms are spacious and many have excellent sea/pool views. You will find the staff are very helpful, always at hand and they always took time out to say hi to my 16month old daughter, who from what i can gather, loved it. If, like me , you like your food, you will find yourself spoilt to the extreme, such a wide variety and all to die... more

stayed at the bitacora in October half term. We had an age range of 72, 50, 42, 16 (going on 25) and 12, and we all had a great holiday. The hotel was in a nice area and we didn't have any trouble with noise. The rooms were basic but large and very clean. We did not have a pool view but had a great view of the mountains in the background. The food was lovely and there was much to choose from. Just spent 2 weeks 28th Sept to 12th Oct 2004 Had the best most relaxing holiday ever. Situated in quiet area and only short walk to some quality shops and choice of 2 beaches. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Hotel spotless and all areas within the hotel Food second to none very wide choice of meat/fish or vegetarian dishes some cooked while you wait. Bedrooms large and spacious ours with view of sea and mountains. Very good holiday in all. Definately going back next year. more

Me and my husband are just back from staying at the bitacora,had a brillant holiday!!!! hotel was great,staff were very friendly and helpful.And the food was out of this world,so much to choose from def not a place to go if your on a diet........ Only one bad point i have to say is that the pool area was extremley busy,very hard to get a sun lounger unless you were up really early to reserve one,but apart from that i would def reccomend this hotel to anyone. We hope to be back nxt year!!!!!!! more

We stayed at the Bitacora in July for two weeks, and really enjoyed it. The Hotel was spotless, i didn't even see one ant in our room! the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is great, even for the children! The night time entertainment was super, we spoke to some people who said the entertainment at the Bitacora was better than the Vulcano [sister hotel] although we visited the Vulcano and it is a beautiful Hotel. When we visited the btacora 2/3 years ago it was excellent me and my party of 10 adults and 11 children had nothing to complain about it is lovely there is something for everyone, childrens playarea, childrens entertainment, childrens pool with slide including a baby pool plus there is a pool for guests who dont really want to be with children, the food is FANTASTIC 10/10, the staff are really nice, i would defonately book to go there again, the rooms are spotless they are cleaned everyday and a towel change every other day i never even saw... more
