The food was excellent - we were on a half board basis. On our first evening the maitre' d showed us all round the dining room and outside eating area and explained where we would find the hot / cold / specialty foods and sweets. All the staff seemed delighted to see us - we were the only English guests that week.
My son who is a student in Jerez visited us on the Sunday and was able to purchase the evening meal for 15€.
The staff on reception were extremely helpful and explained where to find the only local supermarket and how to get the local bus (1€) to Conil and how to walk in, etc. The bus service stops at 10pm but a taxi back much later only cost 6€. The roads are not finished yet and there are no street lights for part of the journey so we did not feel safe to walk after dark but during daylight there is a lovely walk along the cliff tops or along the beach into the town.
The beaches are lovely but several access points are by steps down which may not suit all holiday goers but there is a ramp at the Fuente de Gallo beach just to the right of the hotel. This was popular with families with pushchairs.
We were able to get towels for the pool by signing for them and could change them as often as we wanted. Very few guests used the pool and no one ever reserved sun beds.
There was entertainment in the bar some evenings but the room was rather brightly lit so we preferred to sit out on the terrace.
There are 3 other local bars but that is about all at the moment. The area is undergoing substantial development.
It is obviously a very popular resort for the Spanish and was very crowded on the Sunday we were there.
At the end of the week we did not want to go home and wished we had booked for a fortnight.
I will definitely return in the future but hope they do not spoil it with the new developments.
