Falcon brochure.. Bulgaria. All-inclusive page 221 top of page. Listings sports not included.
At welcome meeting rep happy to tell you about all trips and take your money. When you had a complaint her attitude changed and never followed up on complaint.
Building of hotel Ralitsa 3 star very disappointing after a 3 and half hour flight and then 3 hours on a bus to complex. Rooms less than basic reception waist of time as they know nothing about the running of the hotel all you get is a shake of the head if you are luck or they just ignore you.
Food ok if you like German sausages and lots of salad nothing hot not even the chips unless you are at the counter when throw them into the dish
Lots more to say but the worst part was the return trip from Bourgas airport , cattle market. Left in the car park jammed in the doors jammed in the booking area no line ups no reps nobody claimed to speak English. You were jammed in a crowd of 300 to 500 to get through passport. They in turn sat inside their box with their feet up on the desk laughing and ever now and again pushing the crowd back from the doors like animals you had no choice but to do the same ..(babies, young kids and elderly mangled for over 2hours.) Flight changed and rerouted not informed.

Disgusted, German hotel food horrible inedible most days. Choices very poor and the same every day. In our party of six only one person wasn’t ill with stomachache earache and water infections. Pool was actually green at one point!
Both my daughter and my niece still have diarrhoea two days after returning. The animation team were the only ones who put in the effort to entertain day in and day out. The Bulgarian people 98% of them were rude to our faces. The cleaning staff were the only ones who did their jobs, and the Bulgarian rep was very helpful if unconcerned that i was in bed ill again!
Luckily the local chemist spoke good English! We ate out in desperation and found a blessing in poca loca fantastic local restaurant good food fantastic people hooray otherwise we would have got malnutrition.

The Ralitsa Hotel overall was poor let down by its food me and my partner had terrible stomach ache throughout the holiday, one day on the children’s food section there were instant mash, plain spaghetti and chips. There were not enough choice at all and mainly catered for Germans! The meat was either under cooked or full of fat. Went to the a la carte restaurant totally rubbish not a lot to chose from there either.
The evening entertainment was ok and was good for children in the day time. The hotel was clean but wasn’t impressed that we had to be out of our room on last day at 12pm and we didn’t get picked up until 1.20 am the following day. The staff on the bars were rude and not helpful at all.
There were lots of prostitutes wondering about on a night time giving out leaflets for their show bars or just hanging around on street corners. I will not be returning to the resort again I have been put off totally by this one experience.

My partner and I were going abroad for the first time as a couple and we had a fantastic time in Bulgaria.
We went on excursions..v.cheap! And the tour guide was very informative and friendly. The downside to the holiday was the lack of manners and hostile mannerisms of some of the locals and some German holidaymakers however the majority of people were nice and very helpful.
Our room was nice and we had a lovely balcony to spend the late evening drinking and playing cards on. There is lots to do such as exploring, sun-bathing, shopping- near city: @ Varna not v. good as all floral dresses and such but nice sights, archery, shooting and buggy carts, horse riding, and at the beach- jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides and lots more. v. hot weather most of holiday excluding two days of clouded over skies with rain, but all in all LOVELY TIME, BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, RECOMMENDED HOILDAY!!!!!!!!

The flight from Gatwick was on a pretty ancient plane with an engine on the roof! It smelt of damp and was a bit tatty but the service was fast and attentive and meal a cold platter was surprisingly tasty and adequate.
We arrived late evening having had our hotel changed by Balkan 4 weeks before departure so there was apprehension amongst the group. However we found ourselves in large two bed apartments with living area and large bathroom, all was spotlessly clean and well laid out, we even had three balconies to choice from!
The Ralista is set in a huge expanse of gardens and trees, beautifully maintained, the pools also were clean and well maintained, and about six bars dotted around the complex were clean and tidy, each with coffee machine (hint ask for cappuccino if you want white coffee or it will be too strong!) and snack bar, the alcohol choice was a bit limited on the alcohol side and often served in naff plastic beakers! But staff were generally friendly and not anti-brit as other reviews suggest.
There seemed to be plenty of sport facilities around the complex and the animation team worked constantly hard throughout our stay however the evening 'shows' were held in a school type hall allowing only a small number of people to watch them.
Star staff member was our maid who cleaned the room(s) every single day changing the towels at least 7 times and linen 4 in two weeks.
Sadly the thing that let the hotel down was the food, Yes I know it is difficult to satisfy 1500 people from 10 different
countries, but too often the food was under-cooked on one occasion we found chicken breasts totally raw!, there was to much of left overs from the meals before and vegetables were going out either so over cooked they were mush or not cooked at all.
A general lack of choice and a comparison to school dinners were our main complaints BUT we knew we weren’t going on a 5 star holiday and you’re not ill if you’re careful
and on most days we found something edible and if not eating out was a cheap option
Briefly hotel location is ten minutes pleasant walk to the beach or there is a free bus every 1/2 hour and the Noddy Train comes by every 15 minutes. The resort is just built for tourists with no real Bulgaria however has a bit of entertainment and fairground rides, excellent beaches and nice walks.
Must do is a coffee in the Panorama cafe on the 15th floor of The Dobruja Hotel and a bus ride to Varna (hint: beware pick pockets) Best bars- The Bulgarian Irish Bar(!) -new for 2005 and The German bar by the Dodgems!-most over rated and expensive The Tropical Bar full of the same Brits every night badly singing the same karaoke songs every night!
Balkan Holidays-Basic no thrills, did the job. Hotel -should become bed and breakfast only. Value for money- can’t go wrong £319 AI for two weeks
WARNING- The endless harassment of the prostitutes every night is enough to prevent me from going back to Bulgaria, unless the authorities get rid of these ladies of the night long term credibility of Bulgaria as a holiday destination will be seriously damaged.

Hotel was lovely nice and bright staff very helpful. Only off putting thing was the beetles as it was corn season they were everywhere for a week.
Had to get up very early for a sunbed, as hotel was very busy. Food was very poor as it was all for the German tourist the entertainment was the same. There were very few British in the hotel. However, we were not told when booking it was a German hotel. Tried the a la carte restaurant one night what a joke you must go even for a laugh to see how bad it really was.
Plenty of lovely places to eat outside and very very cheap same with drinks beer 38p cocktails 1.00.
I would certainly go to Bulgaria again but would like to try golden sands although Albena was very nice. I would try another hotel and certainly, worth going if you have never been.

First impression of the hotel was how clean and tidy everywhere was, but once we went to the restaurant we soon changed our minds. The food was disgusting, most of the time it was not kept warmed properly so we were a bit dubious about eating it. even though all inclusive we ate out a lot of the time, thank God for POCO LOCO.
The hotel staff were very rude to the English people, being sarcastic when we used our manners but the Germans got treated decently even though there were very rude to them, the only polite member of staff was the lady who cleaned the room. The entertainment in the day was rubbish and the day we had rain the day entertainers were in the bar and finally appeared to keep the children entertained at 4pm, the evening entertainment was not worth watching.
Would go back to Bulgaria again, but not back to the Hotel Ralitsa, as this was a German hotel and not told this when we booked.
