Royal Park Hotel Reviews
Before going to Elenite I looked at the reviews and became worried about going, I'm glad I found most of what people said was at load of rubbish, This hotel is spotless, staff very friendly and approachable. We found the food very good and a good variety, yes the food was not served hot, but, thats what the Bulgarians do, I was happy my family could just sit down and eat rather than have to wait for the food to cool down or even to burn thier mouths on it. I found the staff very hard working, and who would'nt become defensive if they have to deal with picky arrogant and pigheaded people who have not idea on how to treat people with respect. I did get an upset tummy but i would not let that spoil my holiday. We found the resort, facilities excellant. Yes I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY AND VALUE THERE SAFETY !!
We have just come back yesterday and would have been safer in Afganistan or Iraq , at least we have had troops to protect us ! We were robbed twice ( hotel room and luggage) all of us had food poisoning throughout the holiday. . . Please dont go . . . we witnessed horrific beatings by the staff there. Food was reheated and reserved all week as something else or just retopped up with more food ontop leaving mouldy foods in the same trays.Cuttlery was dirty ( if you could get any) they have no coffee and tea and if you could get any it was apple flavour and they had no milk. All the mugs were chipped and dirty and bowls were all chipped leaving sharp edges ( glass).
the sun newspaper were there and gmtv asking people to contact them with there horror stories...
Aboat ride was put on with ten members of the hotel went on . . This sank at sea and all ten members are still missing . The hotel put a power boat out to look for them whilst the film crew were there and as soon as the crew were gone the boat was brought back in.
Staff at the hotel carry knives and we went in to one shop to buy a fridge magnet on site and was charged a tenner , we said no but the bloke had a knife and a set of martial arts sticks on a chain which he picked up , we just paid and left sharply.
Sunny beach is 8 mile away and you will get ripped off on the bus ( half hour -fourty minutes away) to go there. Three people from our hotel were robbed there , a sixty five year old man was punched in the face , knocked down and his gold chain ripped off his kneck causing bad injury's to his kneck. One person was paying and had his wallett ripped out his hand . . I could go on and on with this hell hole. This is only a fraction of what happened , if you like me value your familys safety then dont go !!! i can proove all of this with photos and witness statements !!! which will be passed to my solicitor

After reading all theese comments I wanted to give you an honest opinion of The Royal Park Hotel . . . We had never been abroad before and approached First Choice to find us the best holiday package for family's. We were told that The Hotel Royal Park was a 5 out of 5 rated Hotel . . .No complaints , just great feedback recieved !
What a load of rubbish. .
Without going into major details like the plane being delayed to take us to Bulgaria and hour and a half and the crappy coach that picked us up with no seatbelts we were taken to the Royal Park Hotel.
They make you arive in the early hours of the morning so its dark and the hotel looks its best all lit up.
At first we thought wow this looks fantastic, but on entering the hotel it hits you straight away ! ! The SMELL... It was awful , a cross between a kitchen serving spicy foods and raw sewage.... It smelt vaguely like a gastric ward in a hospital !
We had paid for a first floor room with childs den with balcony and sea view and playstation and got a 7th floor room.
The room itself stank awful as they have a major problem with the kitchen extract fans blowing directly into the rooms , loads of people complained of this !
Aircon didnt work , fire and smoke alarms didnt work ,curtains were hanging off, water leaked through the ceiling, mould was all over the walls, door frames hanging off, toilet wasn't screwed down, shower was hanging off wall, tiles cracked, carpets worn and dirty, electricity sockets were positioned by the kids bed at finger height (prongs),cracks all over the walls which some had pollyfiller left in and not sanded and painted, different shades of paint over the walls, bathroom ceiling had collapsed in two places, furniture doors hanging off ,the safe we paid £50.00 for was in a wardrobe which you could just pick up as it wasn't screwed down. I could go on and on !
My children went onto the balcony to admire the sea view that we had paid for to be confronted by a massive wasps / bees nest hanging from the balcony ceiling. The view was overlooking a rubbish dump and not the sea !I had to dispose of the wasp nest myself after constantly complaining ( hit it with a chair)
We complained that this isn't what we paid for to be told they had no other rooms , we got ripped off !
The maid should clean the rooms everyday, bring toilet rolls and change and the towels daily with bed linen twice a week.
We never saw a maid for two days , and I had to find one and pay her two levs (90p) for toilet rolls , you wont get service here unless you pay for it !
The pillows and bed linen stank of the horrible hotel smell coming from the extractor (kitchen).Towels brought to us had blood and bodily waste stains on them and our sheets were never changed.
And after all , this is the luxuriouse 5 star Hotel that i booked over a year ago.
All I can say about theese people who give this hotel a great write up is that they either work for first choice or have been paid to do so !
I have photographic proof of all the things listed above !
Whilst out one evening we came back to find our hotel room door wide open and our belongings ransacked . . we had been robbed.
Only hotel staff have keys to theese doors ,we reported it but they didn't want to know !
Staff at this hell hole are the rudest I have ever met , they ignore you , bully you and believe me threaten you. We witnessed staff beating up people staying there. The write ups you read are all true when it comes to the staff beatings , from the man who asked for a coke and had 4 barstaff drag him outside and beat him, to the hotel security running over a young girl seriously injuring her leg then driving off laughing (didnt stop).
People slashed with knifes and even the ten people who went out on a boat trip never to be seen again.
Do not even think about booking this hotel if like me you have children and value there safety.
The food in this hotel is not edible ,You get the same stuff served over and over again.. me and my family had the worst case of food poisoning that we could have wished for. Cramps ,sickness ,diahhrea ,hot sweats and headaches after two days of being there !
Birds were flying around the restaurant landing on food and eating it ,and the staff just stood there as if nothing had happened.Food was constantly being topped up in big silver trays and was mouldy underneath , wasps were all over the icing on cakes and you could,t even get a tea or coffee , there was shortages of dirty cuttlery , bowls made from glass were chipped ( sharp) and when we complained we got thrown out the restaurant by the manager.
If you still have to go and firstchoice wont let you pull out then eat at PACKO'S.
PACKO'S is just out the main gates ,follow the road on the left and its just on the right ( a wooden hut with steel roof).
PACKO'S is the only place you will get english beer and food around this hotel and its only 5.00 levs (£2.40) for burger and chips.... PACKO is great as well and talks excellent english... take money with you because your going to have to eat there!
We could not have got through this holiday without eating there.
Dont bother with the medical center at this hotel , We tried to get the kids looked at and we were told our medical insurance didn't cover us there and they just wanted under £300.00 each to treat our children ! Its a con......
We have medical evidence from our g.p that we had a severe case of food poisoning from this hotel and it has now been reported ! we have had to have microbiology samples done incase its samonella !
Entertainment is awful... Its held in the animation theatre.... The roofs leaks water in very badly when it rained making the tiled floor a major slipping hazard. It was that bad they had to close a whole staircase to the bar area ! People were slipping and hitting there heads everywhere whilst staff just laughed !
Gun shots were heard one night (two) and everybody came running out there rooms panicking !!!!!
If i could give this hotel minus marks i would . . stay clear , people are telling the truth , you only have to read the reviews here and elsewhere.
The pool area stank of sewage , wasn't cleaned properly , had tiles from the bottom of it missing and coming up, was murky and i wouldn't let my kids in it.
The beach was covered in litter and full binliners that hadn't been removed in days . .
Also the wasps are a major problem , , you will get stung , we didn't know anyone that hadn't been stung here and we had spray on protection !
Basically to sum it up its a HELL HOLE and if you dont beleave any of this then go and waste your hard earn't money finding out for yourself !
Hopefully some one will read this and take note.
We are currently filing for a full refund and if anyone should wish to do the same they can contact IRWINMITCHELL SOLICITORS who have currently got 265 cases from this hotel from the time we went there ! There telephone number is 08701500100

We came back from bulgeria on saturday 4/10/08, and we have never been so glad to get home in our lives, the hole holiday was a joke if you could call it holiday.
From start to finish it was a nightmare, the staff were verry agressive, and would not take any notice of any problems you gave them.
The safe in my room which a paid 50 lev for was a joke, it was not fixed down and could be removed from the room, our curtain poll was haning off the wall, the cuboard door to the fridge was hanging off, my 2 year old daughter could easely walk on to the balconey, because the door handel was hanging off, and to make matters worse we were on the top floor.
The toilet was a joke it was not bollted to the floor, and as for the shower you hade to hold it in place, due to it not beig fixed to the wall.
The food was realy bad, me and my wife have both come down with food poisening.
This place should be pulled down.
I have never felt so afraid for my famileys saftey before.
The staff seamed to pick on people, then beat them up nealy everday somebody would get attacked by a member of staff.
As for the pool it never seamed to be cleaned, and my daughter was polling off the tiles all the time, baecause they were not fixed properly to the floor, and as for the life guard he was always on his phone and never watching the children in the pool.
This was not in anyway a holiday it was i nightmare, a (HOLIDAY FROM HELL).
I would never step foot back in bulgeria again even if i got offered a million pounds.

What a load of rubbish! Yes there were incidents witnessed at the hotel, such as the little boy who slipped at the pool - I did not see the actual incident, however from what I did see and hear, it was an accident, which could have happened at any pool anywhere in the world, not just here, pools can be dangerous places, and medical staff from the on-site medical centre were right there complete with ambulance which arrived within minutes... I also had my own medical issue (nothing to do with the hotel I may add!) and found staff to be very attentive & thorough, and couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
The food we did not have a problem with. Everything was well-cooked and enough choice (although a little repetitive sometimes), although we became rather irked at the number of constantly complaining brits, at lack of fried food/chips etc. We like proper healthy meat and veg dishes and salads/breads etc so we were more than satisfied with what was on offer. When even a very fussy 8 year old can eat well all week, I can't see what the problem is. We always had clean plates & cutlery, and the whole hotel, not just the restaurant, was spotless. The pool & all corridors were cleaned from morning to night to a very high standard, maids were run off their feet cleaning up after rude brits who just left their rubbish at their backside, wonder if they do this in their own homes...
First Choice reps were lovely! Always smiling and eager to help and advise, even reception staff which I gad heard bad things about were very helpful with bus times/prices etc. and directions within hotel. We found that a smile together with a please and thank you usually made a difference!!!
All in all, beautiful clean hotel & resort, on-site medical centre & spa fantastic, lovely beach & clear sea, staff lovely (we even tipped certain staff members who gave over & above their call of duty). There was a wasp problem, but nothing a little repellant/citronella oil didn't fix. The poor guy at the outdoor bar had it the worst, yet STILL managed service with a smile, even when he didn't get so much as a thank you... same applies to bar staff at the Irish Bar & main lobby bar, who served rude brits all day & night and still managed to stay smiling & polite for the most part...
We would definitely return to Bulgaria, and to this resort, and particularly the Royal Park Hotel, despite the bad weather for most of the week we still managed to have a good holiday!! A Holiday is what you make it, if you go to find faults at every turn you will find them, we found very few, can't blame the staff for the weather unfortunately lol

My family and I arrived at the Royal Park Hotel at 3pm on friday 12th September 2008 after a fairly decent flight from Gatwick airport. When the coach pulled up to our hotel we were pleasantly suprised (other surrounding hotels looked a bit grotty to be honest). The reception area was large and although the staff were quite moody we put this down to the language barrier and took the key to our room on the third floor. As a family of four (myself, my husband and our two daughters aged 9 and 14) we had booked a two bed room although we found it to be two single beds pushed together in one room and the sofa pulled out into a bed in the living area. After complaining to the First Choice Rep that we didn't have what we paid for we were told that the hotel was full and we could claim money back when we got home. We decided not to let this ruin our holiday and looked forward to the two weeks ahead. If we'd only known what we know now!!!
This is a genuine, honest review of our time at the Royal Park.
*ROOM*
After the initial shock of the lack of beds in our room we encountered more problems. The bathroom had a constant smell of urine/sewers and the shower was filthy! It was seriously as if it hadn't seen bleach in years and I'm by no means an obsessive clean freak! We also found the toilet wouldn't flush, the hotel handy man came to fix this and admitted he did a good job but wouldn't leave until we gave him the equivelent of £30 English pounds in money! And we were meant to be all inclusive! The maids were very good however, and we did always seem to have clean towels and bed sheets. The rooms here are basic, good if you just want somewhere to sleep and get ready. No kettle, fridge, hairdryer or other essentials and the lifts up to our room were very tempermental.
*POOL*
The Royal Park does have a variety of pools for all ages. The first few days we spent a lot of time here although we had to sunbathe on chairs as the sunbeds were all taken by 7am (no joke). My daughters enjoyed the water slides on offer and I even had a swim when it got too hot to lie in the sun. During our two week stay I did not once see anyone cleaning the pool, one day when we passed it on our way out we saw beer cans and ice cream wrappers floating. The lifeguard (who seemed to spend most of his time on his mobile phone) simply fished them out and carried on texting, no cleaning involved. This is when we stopped using the pools! I spoke to another British lady at dinner who told me that a lot of people where coming down with ear infections after swimming here.
*FOOD*
Where do I start with the food?! We ate in the "canteen" for four nights and encountered the cold, hard chips, RAW chicken, lumpy sausages and pratically anything in a sauce had a skin over it. Ew. My salad was soaking in BROWN dirty water, I dread to think what it was washed in. The desserts were also terrible, the cakes were solid I swear you could have done damage with them! The icecream was always warm and sour! I don't think these people care what they serve to you, my kids were starving so we always had to spend money on meals out. We didn't bring that much money with us as we had booked all inclusive, expecting to actually be able to eat the food at the hotel. By the end of the holiday we were skint, having had to take money out of a hole in the wall that charged us each time we used it.
*ENTERTAINMENT*
If you are Russian, German, French or deaf you will absolutely love the entertainment in this hotel! My husband and I actually burst out laughing it was so bad! My daughters found it boring and most of the (VERY adult) humour went over there heads. One night we spent the evening in our dire hotel room watching the only British channel they had (Sky News) and eating Pringles. Hardly what we imagined we'd be doing on holiday! The all inclusive bar is meant to stay open until 1am but closes whenever the rude, sexist, greasy Bulgarian barman chooses to. Once he was chatting up a young blonde woman holding the que of about fifty people up when he decided to shut up at 9pm to go off and follow the woman! Ridiculous! No one else came to take over from him, we were forced to BUY drinks from the indoor bar where all inclusive doesn't cover. The drinks were expensive aswell, even a coke for my daughters set us back about a tenner.
*ILLNESS*
The last major point of this view is the sickness we suffered whilst staying at the Royal Park. Myself, my husband and both of our kids all came down with sickness, the runs, severe abdominal pains, high temperatures and headaches five days into the holiday. Even though we had eaten outside of the hotel we were sure it was something to do with the hotel as many, many people around the pool all had the same symptoms. There was also a que of the "infected" at reception each morning, demanding to speak to their holiday REP. Ours (who I won't name) was absolutely CRAP. She admitted that a lot of people at the hotel were ill but that it was a virus in the area and not anything to do with the hotel. This is utter rubbish, kids were vomitting by the poolside and there was always one member of a family at breakfast collecting bottled water and plain bread for those who were ill. Since arriving back in the UK I have discovered sites like this where I have been able to see just how many innocent holidaymakers have been struck down with this BUG! The hotel has even been on GMTV and in popular news papers such as The Sun with reports exactly of what we have experienced. It is unacceptable for First Choice to keep advertising this hotel and sending people there with the full knowledge of what lies ahead of them. My husband, my eldest daughter and I have all nearly recovered (nearly a month later) with dramatic weight loss. My youngest daughter however was diagnosed with salmonella last week after our doctor took a stool sample. She is unable to go to schol or infact go anywhere. It could take her months to get better.
Finally I wish to ask anyone who has booked to go to this hotel not to go. PLEASE! You will end up regretting wasting hard earned money on this shambles. I really believe this is an epidemic and something needs to be done. Reviewers who claim we are moaners need to have their head examined - surely the HUNDREDS of reviews on here and the media coverage says it all. So after all the warning if you do decide to go, GOOD LUCK! Because you really will need it when you're stuck on the toilet feeling like death in a dirty country!

After reading the reviews I went there open minded. We have 2 children aged 10 and 13 and we had a brilliant time.
The weather was great the room clean (cleaned every day) and everywhere was so clean, including toliets. They had a little army of cleaners going around all the time and everywhere was safe and clean.
The pool was always cleaned every morning. The views are amazing, the beach superb and cleaned and swept every night.
The staff were brilliant. The only time I saw problems was when people on holiday were being obnoxious and rude when ordering food and drinks because the waiters English is not great. Even though it was an all inclusive I tipped them the equivalent of a couple of quid each day and believe me it makes a difference to the friendliness. Remember they are paid peanuts and what you paid for this hotel (we paid appx £1600 all in)
Now the food, it was great, I heard people moaning that they had to queue with up to 5 people in front of them. I was glad I had to queue that oh so long 5 mins to ensure that the food was being turned around. If there wasn't a queue that would mean that there would have been food sitting there in a warmer without being replaced. The quality was hit and miss but the variety was great and you soon found what you liked best. To be honest I didn't go there for a culinary experience considering the price and the fact that to be honest we wanted to get eat our food and then do our own thing. If it had been a restaurant, by the time we had finished our dessert we would have still been waiting for our main course. The way I viewed it the food was good although you won’t be seeing it on Master Chef at any time soon
I have been going on holiday since I was a child (now 36) and also worked all over the world staying in some of the finest and worst hotels and this I can assure you is a good hotel. We are actually considering going there again next year, the only reason and I mean only reason I wouldn’t go back is we like to go to different countries or places. However we and the kids had such a good time it is very tempting.
The entertainment is a plenty (all day) although we didn’t join in that much as we had plenty of fun in the pool and on the beach. And yes there is no shallow end in the main pool (big steps going into though) but there is a separate kids pool right next to it, what more do you want. Yes there were wasps but not like others who have written reviews I realised (as I have on other holidays) they only go for food and drink not humans unless you roll around in ketchup for fun. So when we finished our food and drinks I didn’t leave them lying around and put them in one of the many bins around the pool. We didn’t have any problems whatsoever. I watched as people who couldn't be bothered tidying up after themselves were bugged all day by them. Wasps will hang around sugary drinks (or cups that had them in) or food, packets etc, heed this advice and you won’t have a problem.
The water park is litrerally 100 yards away (and really good fun for kids and adults) and is free to use but they will try and get you to pay for the sunbeds (and even more if you want the umbrella). If you don’t want to do this just turn up in your swimming gear and towel and leave on the side. No queues but again like most of the Bulgarians don’t expect a smile
With an onsite medical centre, spa, beautiful pool etc etc etc it was just what we wanted.
I would go and answer the suggestions of knife carrying waiters and missing at sea victims but I think (the only thing that was forgotten was the small child that had his leg bitten off by a killer shark frequenting the region!!!) nuff said on that.
Anything that wasn’t all inclusive is very expensive eg Safe Hire, Trips and Room Hire. And on the subject of late departure don’t pay to have a room for a whole afternoon (eg 12 till 6pm which costs appx £60) just pay for an hour which we did from 8pm till 9m (we had early morning flight) and was plenty of time and meant we good have a full day in the sun. One other thing I can think of is although the general staff, cleaners and waiters were friendly the reception staff were useless and any other Bulgarian miserable.
This is a totally genuine and honest review. The only reason I have waited until ( 1 month) now to write this is that we have just started to look for next year and was looking up other reviews. I seriously believe that if someone didn’t have a good time here then they would have been just as miserable anywhere else in the world!!

Arrived back from the Royal Park on the 27th Sept, I have just read reviews from the same time and cannot believe these people were at the same resort.
I went with my husband and two daughters 8 & 4 the room was very spacious with two chair beds for the kids no complaints at all.
The food wasn't excellent but we always found something to eat even my fussy 4 year old. Sometimes you had to wait for cutlery but the restaurant staff worked hard to clear the tables as quickly as possible so didn't wait too long, overall the restaurant wasn't the best but it did for us.
The staff, yes most of them are miserable but some of them were lovely especially the ladies in the toilets next to the restaurant. I will say these people work such long hours for such little pay and a lot of brits spoke to them like dogs, if I had to serve these people they would have had a smack in the mouth.
Food Poisoning, both my children were ill with a 24 hour bug, I cannot say this was anything to do with the food at all, we all ate the same thing and myself and my husband were fine. Out of all the people I spoke to (which was a lot) my children were the only people ill.
The wasps, yes there was lots but as other people say if you leave food and drinks lying round they will bother you, we had no problems.
I saw no violence, no blood etc, I didn't even see the security guards throughout our stay.
The weather wasn't good it rained alot, this was the bad thing about the holiday but we either sat in reception or the Morris Bar and enjoyed our holiday, the most amusing thing of the holiday was listening to people complain about everything, I laughed out loud a few times.
A holiday is what you make it, this was the first time I have experienced bad weather on holiday, we made the best of it. Take cards etc we met some lovely people, had a laugh and enjoyed the break, do not worry if you have booked this holiday we had a great time. Would have been excellent if it wasn't for the weather.

Me and my girlfriend went to the royal park hotel in september this year with high expections as we paid alot of money for are week in the sun all inculsive. In some points we where happy in some points not. When we got there at 4 in the morning after traveling all night it did take a while to get the keys to get to the room as the recpitions didnt speak the greatest of english. There was a few men there to help you with your bags but it was soon clear why they was so happy to help when they ask you for a tip.As i didnt really know how the money works i just gave a note cos at that time i just wanted to get to bed only to realisle later it was about 20 quid in english. Not bad for 120 seconds work.Any way the holiday didnt get much better, the first day was hot and sunny just what we wanted but that was all we got cos after that it was rain and cold wind for the rest of the week.End of september not the best time for bulgaria weather wise.So for doing stuff in the day we was fairly limited and spent alot of time in the restraunt and are room. The food was o.k but pretty much the same every night which was o.k if you liked chips and fish.No entertainment at night apart from bingo and kids disco so not idle for us.One nice bar on the beech which you have to pay for and the bulgariaen people are possiblely the most depressing people i have ever meet.It was a job for them to raise a smile when they served you.And me and my misses are 19 and iam 23 so its not like we are a old couple.I would not recommened going there. But on the up side the veiw from are room was fantasic and the rooms them selves are nice and ive heard it can get hot there,we was just unlucky.

Just got back 4am today (04/10/2008) would never go back!! entertainment for children poor when i complained they said they have bingo at night only 3 lev a ticket, yeah right like my 3 year old can play bingo! no shallow ends at pool, food poorly cooked had to check your meat as it was severely undercooked 4 of my party of 5 got food poisioning the worst being my 3 year old lad whos temperature shot up so much his body shut down and he started fitting asked for an ambulance but they wanted to take him to hospital on an open golf buggy in the rain..... The boy was unconsious wrapped in a sheet, i went mad in the end an ambulance was called and took me to a private hospital which is linked to the medical room on site, that was not cheap! would have been free if it had been the national hospital, i also found the first choice reps defended the hotel rather than helped you. I could go on & on but all i will say is judge for yourself this is not a family park and WATCH what you eat!! such a shame as its a nice complex.

this hotel needs to be pulled down, its something out of a horror film, there has been so many incedences going on it was unreal, first someone got hurt parasailing, a girl slipped in the lobby her foot was cut open which needed stiches, the leaking roof in the animation, a so called piece of cloth was put down to soak up the water a woman had slipped on the cloth and hit her head on the steps its no wonder she didnt cut her head open the bouncers saw this happen but turned and walked away we helped her up after she came round even tho she said she was ok we knew shed hurt herself, and what with young lads being beaten up by the bouncers for no apparent reason for instance one lad asked for a coke in the disco bouncers jump him and started hitting him, another lad was pulled from the pool and had his ribs broken, several lads were taken in the lifts to the top floor and been given a beating, dried blood in the elevators,
We paid for all inclusive dont know why you couldnt eat it chips were ok even though cold, you would be lucky to get a clean plate knife fork, looking at the food then the chefs made you feel sick before you start, then try and get a clean table no chance,
it would not have been so bad if the staff had a smile,to us it seemed a look of hate of us brits in their country, and to add to it the room was no better sleeping on the same sheets, last but not least talk about health and safty well their was none of that their and the thing is noone seemed to care or listen we might just have well talked to the brick wall,

Just got back from a week at this hotel, dont beleive all that has been previously written, food was as expected plenty of choice maybe not to all western tastes but plenty of it, always cleaning around the complex, some bar staff not as efficient as they could be but this is due to inexperience and not ignorance.
We stayed in room 780 this was a super room with a large balcolny overlooking the pool and the beach the staff cleaned the room daily.
We actually travelled with olympic holidays the rep was excellent turned up on time and was always prepared to stop and chat.
Not many brits at this hotel mainly eastern europeans but we didnt find this a problem.
SOME BRITS REALLY SHOWED THEMSELVES UP BY THEIR LANGUAGE AND BEHAVIOUR so perhaps a lack of brits was a good thing, little things like saying please and thankyou worked well with the staff especially the lads in the pool bar
