Beltsios Studios and Apartments

Having booked without knowing anything about the Beltsios when we read a couple of reviews we were to say the least a little worried, But once we settled in and went to the bar and met Tony & Yiota we knew we were going to have a great time. All the Beltsios family made us feel welcome. Would recommend for all.

I would like to put my view forward on the beltsios studios as booking a last minute deal through first choice and not having any pictures of the beltsios i decided to look on the review centres which to be honest i had never done before.Now after reading some poor reviews i went into panic i even made a point of buying ear plugs(which i never used) i went with a very opened mind and decided i would make up my own mind. This place is great the people are friendly the apartments spacious and are spotless and so too are the surrounding gardens and pool area.The music that everyone else has written poor reviews on was not loud and the music played was not club music either it was a mixture of anything from a bit of 80's90's to some upto date chart music.When coming back at night from eating out and walking back to beltsios you cant even hear the music from the bar on your approach now whether tony who works the bar at night has been told he needs to tone it down i will never know as my experience of the beltsios was A++++ we are going to return next year and we will be taking friends with us if you do read the reviews for the beltsios i would advise like me you take it and draw up your own view we are all different i went with my partner we are in are early 30's now we met three great couples there two of which were in there 60's and the other late 30's and they too had no complaints and also said they will be returning next year we got to the end of our week and were sad to be leaving not just because it was the end of the holiday but the enjoyable experience we had and the people we met.

The thing with Greek Apartments etc is that many travel Co. that deal in Greece ,dont give the same star rating system that we are used to.So , with the internet at our disposal , we look into all the the information available. My friend and I read up on the family owned and run Beltios Apartments.Though most reviews were good to excellent ....there were a few bad comments! DONT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF! The grounds are lovely and well maintained , the family and staff very helpful and friendly .Apartments spotless and very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen utensils .The beach is just 6 mins away with the supermarket on route! The bar is lively , but with the balcony door closed and air-con on...you cant hear a thing!! Now, one comment Id like to point out was that the owners getting upset by people taking their own food to the bar area! Their profit and livelyhoods are based on the bar/food profits. So before you moan about it...just think! You wouldn't take you own sandwich into a cafe or bar here...so why expect to do it there! I personally will be returning in the near future.It was Fab!

Just returned from the Beltsios in Skiathos and would highly recommend. Beautiful grounds and the Beltsios family were very friendly and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the pool area was great. It's also only 5 mins walk from the beach so you have the best of both worlds. Don't miss the Greek night (Thursdays) this is truly a family run hotel as the Bazouki player is Mr Beltsios himself. The pool bar only serves food until 1700 but the food is good (try the Mousaka) and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance if you don't want to venture too far in the evenings (try the Syrtaki restaurant which is to the left at the main road as you go out the hotel and about 5 mins walk. One with the blue tables. Excellent restaurant . Would recommend the Beltsios to anyone who wants a good hotel in a good location. Alison & Liz (London)

We've been to the Beltsios 3 years in a row now and will return next year. Pool, gardens and apartments are excellently maintained and the pool area and gardens are extremely pretty. The Beltsios family are lovely. Yiota manages the accommodation and is very helpful and speaks great English. Tony runs the pool bar and is very lively. He's had bad press on some sites, but he is responsible for pool safety so that's why he gets concerned if people mis-use the facility and endanger themselves, as HE gets the punishment if things go wrong. His music is a little loud, so sunbathe at the far side of the pool or ask him to turn it down. He will! The poolside food is first class. Mama Beltsios makes a mean moussaka and a great full English. Can't wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our time at the Beltsios, met some lovely people. The bar is very lively and outdoors so don't expect a quiet early night, fortunately for us we didn't. Many people meet up after their evening meal for a few drinks!!! The days are very tranquil compared to the nights and the pool area is lovely with nice food at the bar-restaurant. Away from the main road you can walk down small roads and tracks, I'd advise a torch if you want to visit restaurants in this area at night. One thing I would say if you are put in the bungalow (which we were) you will be visited by numerous animals and the terrace was overlooked and passed by many people. It looks like a wendy house you can't miss it.

i have been to skiathos 2 years in a rowe now and we have stayed at beltsios each time. i am 16 and i had the best time in skiathos this year. the family that run the place are really friendly and look after you really well. When we went back this year there were 3 other familes that were there the year before when we went. i would recomend it to anyone with teenagers or just for the family. its really nice and skiathos town is about 10 mins on the bus and its full of clubs and bars!! Were coming back in 2007 for another fantastic holiday.

what a great place to stay. apartments were very clean,and this was in September,end of season. nice pool and good sunbathing area. we stopped in room 18 just at the back away from pool area(recommend that area)staff excellent,food good,but there are lots of excellent eating places, all good quality food and fair price. easy walk to great sandy beach- 5 mins stroll. I rate Troulos very highly. We will be going back to this hotel

Just returned from a two week holiday in Skiathos with my wife and fifteen year old daughter and we stayed at the Beltsios Studios. What we expected from Troulous was a fairly quiet but charming resort. but what we encountered in our opinion was not a resort but merely a road that runs through the island with a handful of tavernas and supermarkets scattered along the way, all extremely low key and some distance away from each other. The Beltsios was situated off this main road along an unlit dirt track along with a couple of other apartments. We lasted two nights at these apartments before we made a formal complaint to the rep and requested to be moved due to the extremely rude, intimidating and arrogant manner of the owners son towards our party and our friends party (during the complaint he also approached the rep and continued with his aggressive manner to her). We were promptly moved along with the other party the following day. We are now in the process of continuing this formal complaint to the travel operator. With regards to the accommodation at the Beltsios it was clean and basic, the pool area was small but plenty of beds, and the bar area was ok but there was a distinct lack of holiday atmosphere. In our opinion this is not suitable accommodation for families with teenagers/children owing to the lack of entertainment/facilities or even other guests in our case as we hardly saw anybody there. We did speak to one guest that went there year after year and we have still not worked out why!!!. We love Greece and have travelled to many of the Islands and always had a fab time with warm hospitality, good food, drinks, cocktails, beaches etc and also holidayed in many parts of the world such as Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Gambia, Spain etc and have never ever encountered such unwelcoming behaviour from a host. I have also never wrote on one of these sites before, although I do always check them out when travelling and find them very helpful and I did read a mixed bag of comments regarding this accommodation but I am always open minded about them but now I 100% agree with the negative reviews and will never ever return. TAKE OUR ADVICE DONT STAY!!!!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Beltsios aprments in Troulos, Skiathos for a week in September. The apartments were spotlessly clean and were cleaned daily. The family running the apartments were friendly and helpful and the pool area was lovely. The location in Troulos was ideal as it was relatively quiet, yet close to the beach, shops and tavernas nearby - all within walking distance. Skiathos itself is a fairly small island and easy to get around by moped or car. The whole island was free from rowdy groups of people and generally a lovely place for a holiday.
