Went to the Royal Bay Hotel from the 6th -20th August 2004 with my friend and her family and O MY GOD it was absolutely wicked!! Never been abroad before and it was definitely the holiday of a lifetime! The hotel itself was fantastic and well presented, accommodation was great couldn’t have asked 4 better and food was brill. The facilities are fab with lots to do and 4 pools to choose from as well as the sea and the staff were amazing! Bartenders and restaurant waiters kicked ass! They were sooo friendly and were real funny and did anything they could 4 u!!! I wish I were still there now. Would DEFINITELY recommend the Royal Bay as a top place 2 go and will go back as soon as I can! In my eyes it gets 10 out of 10 and if anyone disagrees they were obviously staying in a different hotel!!!

Had a great holiday at royal bay hotel. 3* standard (not 4* as in brochure). However food very good, especially breakfast, and hotel room excellent. Lovely beach. Talyana restaurant by royal park hotel great for alternative lunch (still part of the all inclusive package). No queues for food and drink which was great. Staff reserved until you got to know them! (saying please (Molia) and thank you (Blagadaria) helps a lot!)
Disco not a great success (no atmosphere in September). Something in the hotel on a music basis is badly needed and a pool table would help. The ones in the village are always being used by children, and the area is very noisy.
Swimming pool very cold (only 20 degrees) and not conducive to swimming. Needs heating badly.
Bus service needs improving - times are too spread out, and one bus for a village of this size is not enough. Also, last bus back from sunny beach is 10.30 pm! This needs to be midnight.
All in all a good value holiday. Nessebur worth visiting for shopping and a more Bulgarian atmosphere than sunny beach.
