This was our 1st visit to Tenerife - the hotel was an absolute dream! The staff could not have done any more to ensure that our stay at the Bahia Princess was first class. We booked our holiday through Thomson's, used this tour operator for the past 6 years & must say that on this occasion we were terribly disappointed with the staff at both airports and the lack of staff/no staff to assist you to and from the airport on Tenerife. However the staff and the hotel at the Bahia Princess more than compensated for Thomson's lack of attention. The room was large and had a fabulous sea view. The maids kept the room’s pristine throughout the day for the entire week - no days off like most other accommodations. The pool areas were spotless and we never had any trouble at all finding a lounger on any of the terraces. I normally prefer to eat out on holiday; however, after my experience at the Bahia Princess my opinion has certainly changed. The variety of food on offer was second to none - sirloin steak, selection of fish, lamb, pork etc as well as beautiful salad dishes & delicious desserts. I cannot wait to re-visit this hotel in the New Year. Thanks again to the staff at the Bahia Princess for an amazing holiday!! Thomson’s pull your socks up & get back to the high standard of customer care that customers are used to!

We stayed at the Bahia Princess from the 25th July until 8th August, this was a fantastic hotel, the best hotel we have ever stayed at!!
The rooms are very large, spacious, well decorated and are spotless, the maid cleans the rooms every day, and does a very good job!!!
Many people have concerns about the plugs in the rooms, there is one plug in the bathroom, and about 5 plugs behind the main chest of drawers where the tv is, so there is no need to worry about electicals not being used, the hotel do leave a letter saying your not reccommended to use electricals, however, you still can, we just put are straightners etc. in the cupbord, and there was no problem.
The location of this hotel is also very good, the beach is just a 2 minute walk away, and there is a shopping centre just outisde, there is a very nice shopping centre called c.c. Gran Sur, which is about a 5-10 minute walk away also.
The staff in this hotel couldn't have been better, the bartenders in the evening were so polite, kind and sweet, they were very nice, as were the restuarant staff. The entertainment team, Luca, Fabruzzio and Ava were also very friendly, we got to know them very well, as alot of people do in the hotel, I'm sure you will do to!
The entertainment is also fantastic with a mini disco at 8:30, then the 1st show, then the diplomas (who won the competitions during the day) and then the main show of the evening. There was a wide variety of shows, acrobats, singers, bands, illusionists, comedians, they had tribute acts aswell like the beatles, the supremes, the drifters etc.
The food is delicous, for breakfast they have all kinds of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, beans, toast, the whole fry up, they even have brown sauce! They also have a selcetion of danishes and pasteries. they have a variety of fruit aswell. For dinner they have lamb with mint sauce, beef, steak, pasta, fish, pork with apple sauce, chicken, chips, vegetables, curry, pialla (not sure how to spell that), and lots more things like that, and for dessert they have loads of cakes, pies, custards, mousses, jelly, ice-cream, the food is lovely!!
Brilliant Hotel, would reccommend to everyone, hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!
Can't wait to come back next year!

What can i say 'Great, Great, Great',
This is the first time ive submitted a holiday review before but thought i just had to share with everyone this time. Reception staff helpful and english speaking although no real need to speak to them other than when we booked in or checked out. The only let down was location of the room which we were allocated, it was facing the road side of the Hotel and not the pool side, but have to say it was very comfortable and roomy a little noisy when we had the patio door open due to traffic on the road, this did not spoil anything by any means. The dining service at breakfast and evening meal times was excellent the hardest thing we had to do was to decide just what we wanted to eat 'you name it they had it' . Be prepared to gain a few pounds in weight but all the steps around the complex are a god send just for a little excerise if nothing else. One main pool which was heated 'very nice', Two smaller pools not heated 'a little cold' but refreshing as the temps where quite high in July. No real need to worry about getting sunbeds we found that there were enough to go around although the ones around the pool areas do seem to go first. Again the entertainment shows at night were very good some nights there were two acts starting at 9.00pm onwards. Also a piano bar with a resident guy playing a keyboard nightly. We found the prices of drinks in the hotel were no real difference than any other bar in Costa Adje. You could off actual been anywhere aboard as there was no real need to leave the hotel at all. We did venture out a few times, Costa Adje its self is on the quite side few shops, few bars, but if you walk a little further up the coast to Playa de las Americas you could be mistaken to think your on blackpool front needless to say its more lively. All in all we all enjoyed this holiday and hotel and that goes for my 16 year old son.

Excellent hotel, cleanliness was impeccible, wide aray of food all fresh and replenished repeatedly. Staff couldn't be more friendly. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for a holiday. Drinks are expensive within hotel recommend using the happy hour from 11pm-midnight when drinks are half price, we would stay here again. Bad points: 52 steps down to dining area, daily fee is charge if you wish to utilise the safe and fridge which are both located within your room. Only one socket which is located in the bathroom. We stayed in room 312 which faced the road but did not find it too noisy, occasionally in the morning we heard delivery vehicles but not too excessive. Recommend the Wigan Pier across the street for cheap drinks and friendly staff. Ignore any persons wishing to give you a scratch card or 25% discount voucher - the first question they will ask is "are you English?" Just reply saying you are a resident on the island and they will leave you alone. Costa Adeje seafront appeared slightly run down compared to its neighbours Las Americas & El Duque.

Just arrived back from the Bahia Princess, Costa Adeje - first impressions are of a Greek Temple with giant pillars and glass atrium - we arrived arived around 10 pm - staff were very helpful but we were disappointed with our room - very basic and facing the very busy road - also generator in garden outside which runs constantly - therefore you cannot leave door open at night - room was large with two large single beds and bathroom was also spacious but be careful if you are a bit athritic because it is a very deep bath and can be dangerous trying to get in and out of bath. Dining room is situated down large flight of steps - there are lifts but they are not particularly handy - stairs no problem going down but a bit of a bind having to climb after eating evening meal - 52 steps - main pool is very clean and upper pools are more suited to proper swimmers - had no problem getting sunbeds - plenty of bathing areas with plenty of beds - everywhere is kept clean with wee cleaner who looked a bit like bo selecta - large glasses etc - she seemed to work night and day just cleaning toilets and other areas - but beware - there is cockroaches around - saw several around pool area and in our bathroom we encountered red ones - la coucheracha! Don't leave any opened packets of food around - invest in a fridge for storing everything! Food was ok - expected greater choice- but you won't go hungry - drink was expensive - we usualy gave over 5 euros for two soft drinks or 10 euros for two alcholic drinks - staff very friendly and helpful- entetainment was usual tribute acts with the exception of Johnny Circus - he is brilliant! Went to sister hotel, Guyanamaria - but it was twice as busy with lots of children running around although quite a lot of children are left to their own devices at night in the Bhaia too - saw young teenage girls up to their knees in swimming pool one night larking about - could have been dangerous - parents nowhere to be seen - if you buy bottle of wine you must drink it that night - they will not cork it for another night - take it with you to bar outside or to your room - not impressed with parts of Costa Adeja - lots of scams going on - from people trying to sell you cam corders - they take you into their shop - two mates wait outside - quite disturbing - to guys trying to sell watches - literally dozens of them - be careful - watch your pockets and bags - and DONT be conned by scratch card sellers! Scum of the earth! If you arrive late and don't get evening meal ask for meal on the day you leave - Thomson reps are supposed to organise a cold meal for your arrival but don't hold your breath - you can also order a picnic - massive bag of food - one is enough for two people - also hotel wiill give you courtesy room free of charge to get changed in on day of departure - Thomson reps don't give any local tips - only try to sell their own trips - but that is to be expected - they sit about all day - would be better if they got off their proverbials and perhpas orgnaised a walk- about of the area - but they didn't appear to be to enthusiatic or energetic! Sorry if you are about to go to Bahia but we wouldn't go back.

Fabulous holiday - hotel immaculately clean, the staff first class and the food excellent.
The hotel was exactly as described in the brochure and we were fortunate to have a view across the pools - previous reviews have commented about the roadside rooms and these could well be noisy - worth paying for a pool view if you want to guarantee not being next to the road. Don't worry too much about the flight of 52 steps (we enjoyed the daily step-class) there are lifts and ramps and the wheelchair users who were staying there were able to access all areas.

Booked this holiday to 'spoil ourselves' as it's not the cheapest of hotels in the brochure, but the website and the brochure sold it to us. We were quite disappointed that they were carrying out remedial works all around the pool area replacing tiles and drilling out new channels for some extra feature lighting.
The noise pollution completely ruined what was meant to be an idilic week of relaxation. We were also roomed at the front of the hotel, which was very noisy due to the high volume of traffic throughout the night. So no rest at night and the same during the daytime. We found ourselves out walking during the day instead of tucking into our books and relaxing because of the noise from the angle grinders and pneumatic drills.
To make matters worse, Thomsons are completely unwilling to address the matter and have said that this type of work is a 'fact of life' when you holiday in Europe and there's nothing they can do to compensate us.
Needless to say, we are very disappointed in the hotel and even more disappointed with Thomsons and their cavalier attitude.
Advertised as 5T platinum and I have to say that we've been to 3 star hotels in Greece which have been far superior and half the cost. Think carefully before you book here. Rooms are not very well equipped i.e. poor lighting, no dressing table, insufficient plug sockets (only 1 in bathroom) the other is behind a very heavy piece of furniture and if you need to hang dresses in your wardrobe, you'll find that there's insufficient height so they crease at the bottom, also balcony doors are only single glazed so the traffic noise is very noticable.

We have been to the Bahia five times and are about to depart on our 6th! This hotel is in a very good location with anything you could possibly want easily accessable. The accommodation and food are very good and staff at this hotel are excellent. Costa Adeje itself is an excellent place with lots of bars and restaurants and is exceptionally clean. Playas de las Americas is a 15 minute walk away if you want noise but not close enough to bother you in Adeje which is quiet after midnight. All in all this hotel deserves its 5'T's from Thompson.

My mum and myself stayed at this hotel for a week February 2008.
I have stayed at the Princess Hotels before and found them exceptional. This hotel was as others have said, was very clean and spacious and the food was excellent, however have had better food choices in other Princess Hotels... this one seemed that the food choice was rather repetitive.
The other annoyances were that if you wanted to change your pool towels there was a charge of 1.20 euros a day.. Ive never paid to change my pool towels in any other of the Princess Hotels so dont see why there is a charge in this hotel... also if you wish to use the fridge which is constantly running there is a charge of 4 euros per day for the key!! .... again, never experienced this before.
Its seems that the Princess chain need to use the same rules across the board for all their hotels, as I sat next to a couple on the plane journey home who had stayed at the Tenerife Princess and these charges did not apply at their hotel... hmmmm. !!!
Lots of sunbeds.. no problems getting one each morning.. although the hotel was quite quiet the week before half term, so sunbeds were not a problem.
Staff were friendly and helpful, service was a little slow at times, especially at the bar in the middle of the hotel reception, where you sometimes thought they had forgotten about you.... otherwise an enjoyable stay.
Advertised as 5 star in the brochure.... definately only a 4 star, as advertised outside the hotel.

My partner and I have just spent a lovely glorious week at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is always lovely and clean and staff very helpful and friendly.
The food is plentiful and gorgeous. Also sometimes on return to our room, we would find a beautiful swan structure made from towels. We found that a lovely touch.
Definitely would recommend this hotel and have every intention of returning.

We have just returned from a stay and cruise holiday and stayed at the Bahia Princess Hotel. This is a beautiful hotel.
We had a room in the annex and it was massive with great views over the main pool. The room was kept spotless, as was the rest of the hotel.
The entertainment left a lot to be desired but people did enjoy it.
The food, while I have seen more choices at other hotels, was of a very high standard but the quality of the meat was exceptional. My only moan is the lunch menu choice is not too varied and is high on the sandwich with chips options.
I have read that people have moaned about the cost of drinks – you are in a 4* hotel and the prices are UK pub prices, bottles of wine for dinner are the price in Euros that you would pay for in £s (if not a bit less) than you would pay in a UK restaurant.
There are a few bars within the immediate vicinity if you want to go out (and spend less and drink in 'English' pubs).
The best bit about the hotel though is the staff – they are fantastic; polite, friendly and not one sullen face. They make this hotel special.
Thoroughly recommended.

We have just enjoyed a great week at the Bahia Princess. If you want a relaxing holiday in an immaculately clean hotel, with excellent food then this is it.
The rooms are clean and tidy with good storage space, a safe and fridge available at extra cost. The bathroom was spacious and had a powerful hot shower over the bath, and a hair dryer by the sink. All rooms have a balcony, and although ours faced the mountains and not the sea, the view was OK. It was a little noisy on this side of the hotel because of traffic, but we didn't think it was too bad.
The hotel grounds have three pools and several areas set out for sunbathing with sunbeds provided. You get your beach towels provided free of charge too. There are two snack bars that operate from 12 - 3pm, and there is a main reception bar that is open all the time.
We had heard other reviewers say that getting a sunbed was a problem, but during our week in November we didn't have any issues but of course it might be different at the height of the season.
The food is exceptionally good here, both in quality and choice and I cannot believe anyone would not find something they like. Freshly cooked fish and meat were available everyday, along with an excellent salad and fruit choice. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is situated at the top of a hill approximately half a mile from the seafront. This wasn't a problem for us but it is quite steep and there are a lot of steps to negotiate inside the hotel grounds which may be an issue for the less able bodied. There are lifts however that take you from the reception area down to the restaurant if you need them.
The location is great in that you are equal distance from the centre of Las Americas and the more upmarket El Duque area. Simply walk down to the sea and follow the lovely tiled promenade either left for the pubs and clubs and karaoke nights, or turn right and walk for about a mile and a half and prepare to be amazed as we were - El Duque beach where the hotels, bars, restaurants and shops were more like the Italian Riviera than the Canaries! OK, I'm exaggerating slightly but it was fantastically swish and gave us a whole new perspective on Tenerife as a quality holiday destination.
We really recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable base for a holiday in the sun. The excellent food and friendly staff were just the icing on the cake. We are already looking to rebook for January!

Absolutely fabulous. 10minutes by taxi (recommended) from the airport. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; the rooms were of a good standard with air conditioning.
Although built on a hill (52 steps between reception and the restaurant) there are lifts available if needed or you're lazy. I used the steps to try and walk of the fabulous meals I had. So much choice in the restaurant (buffet service) you need to get your gym membership up to date for when you get back.
Plenty of sun beds to choose from (free towel provided by the hotel). The hotel evening entertainment is a bit cheesy but varied; you could sit in/outside the piano bar as an alternative.
The weather was outstanding, the Thomson reps were great and recommended some great trips, particularly Loro Parque, and Teide by night, the La Hacienda Show was entertaining too. Quickly became apparent that some of the guests were returning to the same hotel, by the way the staff welcomed them back. You could open a hotel bar tab and settle at the end of your stay by cash or card (you only pay for what you sign for and get a receipt each time).
Beach was a short walk from the hotel was clean, the sea was surprisingly warm. The beach bars offered good variety of drinks and food. The local bars were many and varied, some in the theme of English pubs. One in particular, Wigan Pier, hosted by friendly English people served the best basket of chips you've ever tasted. There are so many places in the world to visit that you don't need to go back to the same place, but this is one I can see I will be visiting again.
The only down side was the charge for the fridge in your room, but then again I didn't use it or need it (key from reception - charged by the day 4-euros, I think?) My rating 10+/10.

Had a really enjoyable stay at the Bahia Princess Hotel. The only drawback was the room.
Although asked for high room with pool view we ended up on the third floor at the front of the hotel overlooking the street (bus stop just outside) which we found very noisy although when you shut your balcony doors it was a lot quieter.
The food and service could not have been better. The choice was vast and we had a problem each day deciding what we were going to have to eat.
The drinks in the hotel were pricey but you pay for the surroundings. Plenty of bars nearby which were a lot cheaper but not as comfortable.
The outside of the hotel could do with a facelift. Looked rather dull, but the inside was spotless.
Would definitely recommend this hotel but be prepared to put on a few extra pounds!
