I found the Bahia Princess, wonderfull on all aspects. The staff are all warm and friendly. My son Cameron aged 7 suffers severve food allergies, which can make eating stressful on holidays, the restaurant staff catered for us, which has never before happened.
All areas of the hotel where clean. The evening entertainment was enjoyable.
This is the first hotel that I will be really looking forward to returning. thankyou

when booking asked for a top floor room not near a road, checked in and got room 223 on second floor front the one with the palm tree growing into the room plus the bugs that go with it.The treck to the dinning room on the first day was like a mystery tour which took us to the top of the dreded 52 steps. These get boring after a few days so try harder to find the hidden lifts.

Just returned form our most relaxing and enjoyable holiday ever. The Bahia Princess is a fantastic hotel run
by top class staff. They are so attentive and friendly and we felt very special during our stay. I celebrated
my 60th birthday whilst there and the Hotel gave us a complimentry bottle of Champagne on the day in our room.
The food was excellent and such a huge choice we wish we
could have eaten more. We hope to return one day along
with friends and family. The evening entertainment was so
professional and we enjoyed Happy Hour from 8 - 9
I agree with the rooms being noisy if you are overlooking
the road as we were put in one on arrival but luckily there was a room available the following day which was
quieter. Loved Costa Adeje as a resort.

I recently returned from the Bahia Princess, and was very impressed with the food, cleanliness and the courtesy of the staff. The downside was the room overlooking the road, I would advise anybody to avoid these, not paticularly the road noise which is annoying, but the loud music and noise from the bars opposite until the early hours of the morning. The rest of the holiday was fantastic.

Not sure what planet crazycarol is on, but this is definitely a 5star hotel. My husband and I have stopped at 5star hotels for the last eight years, and believe me, this is one of the best. You always have to pay for the use of the safe whatever hotel you use, even 5star hotels in New York!. As for the fridge, you get the deposit back, so what was the problem. If you have the money to pay for a 5star hotel, surely you have the money to pay for the use of the safe and fridge (returnable).
I managed to charge my phone in the bathroom, no problem, also, I made cups of tea using the socket in the bathroom. Apart from the travel lodges in the UK, what hotel abroad gives you tea making facilities in the room!
As to the restaurant, the food was superb, and NO, the orange OR milk was not watered down, that is just plain nonsense. The food was not TAKEN away before the room was empty. We went down for breakfast about 9.00 every morning and when we left some 45 mins to one hour later, the food was still out, infact they chef’s were still cooking the eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc. My husband wanted coffee and the staff was always on hand with a fresh pot of coffee for him. The staff were always immaculately turned out, very polite and ALWAYS showed us to our table. Likewise, for dinner, we went to dine about 7.00 to 7.30 each evening. Once again the waiters showed us to our table, took the order for drinks, which was on the table before we came back with our starters! The chef carved a joint of meat, (beef, lamb, pork and veal), which was always so tender it melted. There was also sirloin steak, lamb chops and fish dishes (salmon, sole, haddock etc.) (cooked during the meal time), this was apart from the cold meats and fish dishes. In fact, we like to go out for a couple of meals during the two week holiday, but this time we stayed in the hotel, the food was so good. At no time were we or any of the other guests that we spoke to, made to leave the dinning room before they had finished their meal. In fact, of the many people we spoke to, they all agreed that the restaurant and food was excellent. As was the restaurant on the upper level of the pool area for the mid-day lunch.
On reception, this I cannot say much, except, a guard was on duty 24 hours as was the receptionist. I am sure if you asked for help, it would have been given. We found the reception to be very helpful. Also the Portland rep., was hand both morning and evening. But not at 2am! It is not the hotel’s fault if there was a delay at the airport. That is why we always get an early morning flight, cost’s more but is worth it.
On the hotel, the rooms, all areas of the reception, swimming pool, dinning room, animation area, sun beds (of which there was loads), and the rest areas in the hotel were spotlessly clean.
It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel, and we are going back in September for another week, of if I can persuade my Husband we may make it two weeks. And I cannot wait!

The Bahia Princess is rated as a 5* hotel by the Thomson Platinum brochure but is in fact 4*. We are a family of 5 & have previously stayed at 5* hotels where we have always received 1st class treatment. The Bahia Princess disappointed us greatly. We arrived tired & hungry at 2am after a lengthy airport delay, and after booking in, we had to find our 2 rooms with no offer of help with our luggage by a totally disinterested reception employee. The rooms were clean but there were no coffee/tea making facilities and you are not permitted to use any of the electric sockets which meant we could not charge our mobile phone & the children were unable to charge their hand-held games for the plane journey home. However, the most shocking thing was the fact that we had to pay 13.50 Euros to rent the safe in our room for one week, something we have never experienced before. The fridge also had a lock on it & could only be opened if a deposit was paid. Unbelievable! There was plenty of choice of food in the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was served between 7.30am & 10.30am & Dinner at 6.30pm & 9pm. However, by 10am and 8.30pm, waiters were starting to clear tables & food away. We felt we were eating in a fast food environment, being rushed out for the next sitting! More than once the fresh orange juice and milk had been watered down & were tasteless. As previously stated, the food itself was very good but it was not a very relaxed eating experience. The staff were totally disinterested and not particularly welcoming. The Bahia Princess is an attractive looking hotel and the evening entertainment is very good but as this is our only holiday this year, we feel totally misled by Thomson in believing this to be a 5* hotel. We feel it would be worthy of 4* at a puash but definitely not 5*. We will not be booking with Thomson again.

This was our 1st visit to Tenerife - the hotel was an absolute dream! The staff could not have done any more to ensure that our stay at the Bahia Princess was first class. We booked our holiday through Thomson's, used this tour operator for the past 6 years & must say that on this occasion we were terribly disappointed with the staff at both airports and the lack of staff/no staff to assist you to and from the airport on Tenerife. However the staff and the hotel at the Bahia Princess more than compensated for Thomson's lack of attention. The room was large and had a fabulous sea view. The maids kept the room’s pristine throughout the day for the entire week - no days off like most other accommodations. The pool areas were spotless and we never had any trouble at all finding a lounger on any of the terraces. I normally prefer to eat out on holiday; however, after my experience at the Bahia Princess my opinion has certainly changed. The variety of food on offer was second to none - sirloin steak, selection of fish, lamb, pork etc as well as beautiful salad dishes & delicious desserts. I cannot wait to re-visit this hotel in the New Year. Thanks again to the staff at the Bahia Princess for an amazing holiday!! Thomson’s pull your socks up & get back to the high standard of customer care that customers are used to!

We stayed at the Bahia Princess from the 25th July until 8th August, this was a fantastic hotel, the best hotel we have ever stayed at!!
The rooms are very large, spacious, well decorated and are spotless, the maid cleans the rooms every day, and does a very good job!!!
Many people have concerns about the plugs in the rooms, there is one plug in the bathroom, and about 5 plugs behind the main chest of drawers where the tv is, so there is no need to worry about electicals not being used, the hotel do leave a letter saying your not reccommended to use electricals, however, you still can, we just put are straightners etc. in the cupbord, and there was no problem.
The location of this hotel is also very good, the beach is just a 2 minute walk away, and there is a shopping centre just outisde, there is a very nice shopping centre called c.c. Gran Sur, which is about a 5-10 minute walk away also.
The staff in this hotel couldn't have been better, the bartenders in the evening were so polite, kind and sweet, they were very nice, as were the restuarant staff. The entertainment team, Luca, Fabruzzio and Ava were also very friendly, we got to know them very well, as alot of people do in the hotel, I'm sure you will do to!
The entertainment is also fantastic with a mini disco at 8:30, then the 1st show, then the diplomas (who won the competitions during the day) and then the main show of the evening. There was a wide variety of shows, acrobats, singers, bands, illusionists, comedians, they had tribute acts aswell like the beatles, the supremes, the drifters etc.
The food is delicous, for breakfast they have all kinds of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, beans, toast, the whole fry up, they even have brown sauce! They also have a selcetion of danishes and pasteries. they have a variety of fruit aswell. For dinner they have lamb with mint sauce, beef, steak, pasta, fish, pork with apple sauce, chicken, chips, vegetables, curry, pialla (not sure how to spell that), and lots more things like that, and for dessert they have loads of cakes, pies, custards, mousses, jelly, ice-cream, the food is lovely!!
Brilliant Hotel, would reccommend to everyone, hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!
Can't wait to come back next year!

What can i say 'Great, Great, Great',
This is the first time ive submitted a holiday review before but thought i just had to share with everyone this time. Reception staff helpful and english speaking although no real need to speak to them other than when we booked in or checked out. The only let down was location of the room which we were allocated, it was facing the road side of the Hotel and not the pool side, but have to say it was very comfortable and roomy a little noisy when we had the patio door open due to traffic on the road, this did not spoil anything by any means. The dining service at breakfast and evening meal times was excellent the hardest thing we had to do was to decide just what we wanted to eat 'you name it they had it' . Be prepared to gain a few pounds in weight but all the steps around the complex are a god send just for a little excerise if nothing else. One main pool which was heated 'very nice', Two smaller pools not heated 'a little cold' but refreshing as the temps where quite high in July. No real need to worry about getting sunbeds we found that there were enough to go around although the ones around the pool areas do seem to go first. Again the entertainment shows at night were very good some nights there were two acts starting at 9.00pm onwards. Also a piano bar with a resident guy playing a keyboard nightly. We found the prices of drinks in the hotel were no real difference than any other bar in Costa Adje. You could off actual been anywhere aboard as there was no real need to leave the hotel at all. We did venture out a few times, Costa Adje its self is on the quite side few shops, few bars, but if you walk a little further up the coast to Playa de las Americas you could be mistaken to think your on blackpool front needless to say its more lively. All in all we all enjoyed this holiday and hotel and that goes for my 16 year old son.

We stayed at the bahia princess after a week cruising the canary islands.
we arrived and were allocated a beautiful room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road. Unfortunately it was very noisy due to road noise and the noise from the bars across the road. My husband went down to complain at 2am as we could not sleep. The night receptionist was excellent and offered us a room down by the pool which we went to that night and moved our things in the morning.the rest of our stay was very nice and the food excellent. Would definately stay here again but would insist on a poolside room.
