The road is now complete and you can drive up to the resort. We hired a car for the week but a taxi from the airport is around 35 euros each way.
The resort has now been open for about 14 weeks. The accommodation is top quality and the apartments are very well furnished, although the beds are very firm and took a lot of getting used to. The on-site facilities are satisfactory. The mini market is quite expensive with not a lot of choice. There is a free bus service to Hersonissos town which drops you near the Spar supermarket which is ideal. The bar is excellent and reasonably priced.
For food it is best to get away from the resort to villages such as Koutouloufari (Emmanuel Taverna and Vinnies bar are highly recommended) and Piskopiano. If you do not have a car then a taxi will cost 10 euros each way. The Greek night in Old Hersonissos on a Monday night is also recommended.
Leisure facilities are excellent with an infinity pool that does feel like you are swimming of the edge of the mountain! Was not too sure about the grassed sun bed area as can get a little muddy underfoot, but that was probably due to late in the season and dampness overnight.
I think given a few years for the planting to mature and to iron out first season teething problems this resort will just get better and better. If you are looking for an out of the way, peaceful, relaxing holiday then you can't go wrong.

I can confirm that there is now a road to the resort. We also took a taxi from the airport and arrived very early in the morning.
The accommodation is second to none. Everything you can possibly require is provided, including hair dryer, iron, even a sewing kit for that shirt button that flies off just as you are ready to go to dinner!
Every member of staff from the cleaners to the bar staff, the reception staff were warm friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Our rep, Patrice and his wife, made us feel not only welcome but that we were their special guests.
You would never regret booking a holiday at this resort and if you do, try to get to Old Hersonossis and the adjoining villages - Greek dancing and music in the square on a Monday evening which was superb.
The food is excellent as is the presentation and service.
We are definitely going again next year and taking the family with us.

We arrived at the Village Heights Hotel, and they had no road! Which slightly put us off a bit, and we were quite far from the town, so taxis were needed to be taken basically everywhere.
But once we were taken up to the hotel via free transport, we were asked to check-in, was given a glass of fresh orange each, and the ladies were given a single red rose. We were than taken to our apartment via a golf buggy, we were amazed by what we saw. The room was gleaming, looked really comfortable, the rooms were of very decent sizes, with a huge balcony, also free air conditioning in both the lounge and the bedroom, which was fantastic, we also had a dish washer!
When we ate in the hotels restaurant, which they had an a la carte restaurant and a normal restaurant, the food was absolutely fantastic and real good value for money. The whole hotel was lovely, there was an infinity pool, a spa, a sauna, and massage, at an extra cost (which was brill, by the way). The whole experience was brilliant, I would certainly recommend this hotel to anybody.

Village Heights is an excellent resort, high quality, recently-built accommodation. There are two pools, gym facilities, sauna, snack bar, poolside bar, restaurant, separate Greek restaurant. Its outside the main resort of Hersonossis in a lovely hillside setting near a good water park (Acquaplus) and the golf course.
The cleaning service was not brilliant, just skimmed over the floor, bath etc. and this led to ants on some evenings when we returned from our days out.
The apartment was nice, good kitchen and other facilities, although making up the sofa bed in the Lounge every day was a bit of a pain and the room wasn't quite big enough to leave it out all day (although we did do this sometimes, out of laziness, and on one day of sickness for the 4 of us).
Lots of restaurants, bars, entertainment for all tastes in Hersonossis main street and the old villages of Hersonossis, Piskopiano, and Koutouloufari. We always hire a car and I think you would need a car to get the best out of your holiday (although there is a regular bus service to and from the resort). Local companies are far cheaper than the international hire companies and the quality and service is just as good.
Main disadvantage - hard sell to sign up to be Full members of Club Greece/RCI. We wasted half a day last year when we signed up for the Associate Membership and were determined not to do the same this year. We sat through the presentation, but we didn't sign up.
Having read some of these reviews, I'm now worried about the 5 weeks we have left to take over the next 23 months. I'll keep this site posted, as we plan to take a week at Christmas and a further fortnight next summer.
I would visit Village Heights again but I prefer to go to different parts of Greece rather than return to the same places.
