My boyfriend and I visited the Tenedos in 2009, loved the area, thought Gumbet was a great place! the Tenedos however was a joke! part of the ceiling in our bathroom collapsed on my head while i was brushing my teeth! We asked to move room.. eventually we got one with no... more

The best thing about this hotel was the dolmus bus that picks up outside the tenedos to get as far away from the place as possible. my boyfriend and i stayed in the tenedos and it was a waste of money, for a few more quid we could of stayed in a much better place. The... more

Some revues were bad but some were saying not so bad! As I'm ex military I've lived in some rough places so thought perhaps some people were expecting too much. Oh no they werent! They don't put loo paper down the loo, the used paper goes in a tiny bin alongside the loo. We... more

Can`t see what all the bad reports are all about. APART FROM ROOM 101(WHICH EVERYONE GETS AT FIRST...LOL) the hotel was great; the staff superb, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful at mealtimes, and, for the budget per person(TL 100 per week)I think... more

early starts.....
myself and my fiance visted this hotel as a last minute get away holiday. weather was fantastic (101degrees in the shade) and the hotel room was slightly basic but fine to stay in. However, if you want a sunbed by the pool, be prepared to get upo arly, by 7.30 am they were nearly all gone. The food was nice, if a little repetitive, but the pool was lovely. Staff are okay, some alot nicer than others. If you want a relatively cheap, last mintue holiday then this hotel is fine for you. We walked down into Gumbet town most eveings, had a... more
Basic hotel - poor value for money
We arrived at the hotel around 9.00pm - just in time for dinner, although unless you are first through the door at 8.00pm, some dishes have already gone and are not replaced. We found @ 8.00pm there where not enough tables in the hot & stuffy dining room, or outside round the pool to seat everyone anyway, so most evenings we ate later but missed out on some of the foods. Shame the dining room was not air conditioned as it was very hot, there also seemed to be a stray cat who joined us for the dining experience, which was not very hygenic.... more
Lovely holiday
Arrived at the hotel early hours of saturday morning, was taken to our appartment which i have to say was above average. Food was very good always hot excellent selection. Staff were very helpful and went out of there way to assist us Hotel very very clean, will defiently go back to the same hotel
hotel crapedos!!
if you value your holiday DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. the room was less than basic, but the food was the same crap day in and day out.most of the british people we spoke to had some sort of stomach upset including myself i was very ill for two days with sickness and diarrhea.
Ok but not good!!
Tenedos is at the top of the hill so the main problem was it was far away from the bars, rest and shops. the food is always the same day in day out, well it does change but simpler stuff rice everyday and some sort of meat. the rooms are 2 small way 2 small not any room 2unpack clothes. the area is ok but dont go 2 the tenedos not worth it nothing 2 do as there is no entertainment only paid £389 for 2 weeks so for what i paid it was ok.
better than i was expecting....
after reading reviews was not looking forward to this week after arriving was taken to room down 60 concrete steps room not bad no space for clothes so left them in case air con fab as temp was 42 tele was good news and music channel.pool was nice not many english mainly turkish french and belgium so not a lot of company.staff most ok but a lot were unfreindly food was good quite a good choice and plenty drinks were good on bad points no entertainment apart from music bar shuts at 11pm then bed and to go anyhere it costs 1.50L on bus as its... more
Nice resort,terrible hotel
Well, lets start at the beginning. We booked with Gold trail at the beginning of feb 2005 for june 2005, and, despite many phone calls, did not receive the tickets until 4 days before we flew! We spoke to other guests who flew from either manchester or gatwick and they told us the same happened to them,so not an isolated case. Anyway, when we arrived at the hotel, which is located at the top of a very steep hill and about 2 miles from the beach, we found that our name was not on the reservation sheet, and so were booked into a room that was... more
realistic
it wasn't a good start as we arrived 5.00am, they showed us a room with one double bed, grandma, daughter and grandson all went together !!! After much gesturing we were shown a room with 2 single beds !!! We camped in the reception for 5 hours, staff tried to be helpfull but we were so tired. Goldtrail who we booked with were useless, saying we'll come at 15.00pm !! eventually at 11.30am we were shown a better room, double bed and one single, they had tried to make it nice with rugs, basket of fruit, bottle of wine so we said thanks. The... more
It was ok
It was a very good holiday! The staff was friendly, the dinners were ok. The rooms weren`t very big but cleaned. Small price and good holiday
should be shut down
We visited this hotel for one week, commencing 10/09/2004. The hotel room was shabby, with one small window, which we had great difficulty in closing, ants crawled in the bed furniture and everywhere. The bathroom toilet was disgusting, the washbason and taps were hanging off, the shower head would not reach the bracket, staff were very helpful and came immediately but nothing got fixed. The dining room was primitive and not very clean, the food was laid open and flies were crawling all over it,ther was only one item for the... more
