Sheraton Sharm Hotel, Resort and Villas

This is our 2nd stay at the Sheraton Sharm (went April 06). This time had a lovely room in the main building with amazing views overlooking the beach, hotel pool and views across the sea.
Once again lovely clean hotel, the staff are so helpful nothing is too much trouble. The beach staff (lifeguard Gameel in particular) are gracious to the end, as I’m not a strong swimmer and you can't go to Sharm without snorkelling in the Red Sea, so I felt a lot safer while he was keeping watch.
Weather was beautiful, Beach very clean always plenty of sunbeds & towels. Food was good, breakfast excellent and the Portofino restaurant serves the best steak and pasta, although a little expensive, compared to Naama bay food prices, a visit here is a must, watch the entertainment at the 'Panorama'.
The only down side is the lack of Hotel entertainment geared to the 'quieter English' guests, as the louder, ruder more extravert Italian/Russian guests are well catered for, but they do have presence in numbers so maybe that’s the reason for this.
Very small, but often, 'tips' are much appreciated. This was a great holiday for chilling out & that’s just what my husband & I did ,but you can make it a lot more active the excursions are amazing we did that part last time.

I have stayed in the Sheraton a couple of years in a row, with the same group of diving friends.
I have always been impressed with the hotel as it is always clean, tidy and nothing is too much trouble. This was also the case when one of our parties required serious medical assistance and a couple of days of ongoing care.
It is a shame to say that on my last visit, the hotel seemed life less and empty. The outside dinning from the restaurant had disappeared, as well as the outside sofa area.
Even the BBQ on the beach seemed empty so we decided to head into the Bay instead.
The hotel didn't really seem to pick up at any point during the whole week we where there. With it being such a spacious hotel it seemed a bit like a ghost town.
I don't think the service provided by the hotel will ever go down but it is a shame such a wonderful hotel with great service is lacking in atmosphere.
I am returning to Sharm in the next couple of months and we have decided to look elsewhere this time.

The hotel is amazing, the food was great and the staff are just too good, we went in a group of 10 and we had the best time and the service we got was unbelievable, recommendable to anyone.
Very clean and spacious rooms. Very quiet, but very easily reachable to the Naama Bay which is always busy and great. Make sure you bargain for the taxi fare.
The food was excellent and the staff in the dining area are great and helpful. Breakfast was superb, we had lunch at the hotels cafe, which did loads of sandwiches. Well worth it. A lot of choice to have dinner as well, Italian, Chinese etc etc.
Make sure you enjoy the sheesha at the sheesha bar with the mint tea. Try the karkada tea.

Very nice hotel. Big rooms with comfortable king size beds. The hotel was clean and the gardens were properly maintained.
The food was excellent . Maybe because every day it was the same food it may seem boring but in fact every day we had at least 4-5 kinds of meat to choose from and also at least other 10 or 15 kind of food.
The beach is very clean and we didn’t have any problem to find sun beds no matter the hour.
The access to the sea was trough a pontoon so this hotel is not suitable for people who doesn’t swim (or they can use the many nice pools -I think that I saw at least 10 pools)
Why the overall rating was 9 not 10 because even if I am Romanian (Latin nation) I was really disturbed by the many Italians in the hotel. They are very noisy and also they don’t even try to respect basic rules like waiting on a cue. For example every evening there was a barbeque on the terrace and the capacity of the barbeque was limited.
The Italians regularly were empting the barbeque taking a lot of meat despite the fact that many people were waiting to take a piece. Many times they took 5 even10!!!!! pieces of meat only to leave it on the table latter.
However disregarding the Italians the hotel and the holiday was ok.
