I have just returned from a really chilled out 2 week holiday at the Nondas Apartments in San Stefanos (NW), Corfu - there is another San Stefanos in NE Corfu - it is not that one.
Nondas Apartments are independent, so they're not available through any package holiday company. Visit www.nondas.co.uk to see pictures, get prices and stuff. They have their own bar bistro, which is really chilled out, with hammocks, great music and the most amazing view over the bay.
San Stefanos is a resort, but it is a fairly small one and will suit you if you are looking for a quiet place to stay with a nice beach, some shops, plenty of restaurants and beautiful surroundings.
It won't suit you if you like clubbing and rowdiness, and you won't suit everyone else there either! San Stefanos Travel can organise day trips, boat trips, horse riding, car hire etc etc, so you will not get bored. Just don't spoil the place please because I want to go back! Enjoy.

A beautiful place to stay. There are a small number of one bedroom apartments, the downstairs ones sleep 3 (or 4 if there are two small children) and the upstairs ones sleep 2 - with two teenagers, 2 adjoining apartments were ideal, particularly as that gave us 2 bathrooms! The rooms have fridge, kettle, sink and toaster and are kept immaculately clean. There is an on site Bistro with fantastic food and they have just built a non-chlorinated pool which will keep white swimming costumes white and not give rise to swimmer's ear! The owners are very helpful and friendly and live on site. All rooms have air conditioning at no additional cost and the (very reasonable) price of the holiday includes transfer to and from the airport. The place is very peaceful but the beach and the town are only 5 minutes away. The only warning would be the steep hill - the vast majority of people would have no problem but anyone with walking difficulties might find it a bit of a problem. The website is at www.nondas.co.uk.
