I really enjoyed this holiday. The whole atmosphere of the resort was friendly and lively with the opportunity to chill out in a quieter pool when you wanted to relax.
The splash had a lively more active theme with the entertainment team being friendly and trying to include all age ranges in their games and activities, the one thing I would say is that some were very persistent when you did one activity they expected they to do all of them every day. The food was very good with a wide variety and pasta every night for the people who don’t like the other food.
Naama Bay was an experience and although the men were very full of compliments for girls and also very full of gifts they knew when to stop and I didn’t feel under a threat at any time. I would definitely go back to the hotel.

Apr 2006, Mrs P Ingham

A beautiful Hotel, Spotlessly clean, with great service. The food was excellent if you could get past the Russians and Italians at the buffet. Question, What do the Russians do with the 10 oranges they take each, with every meal and how come the Italian women are so thin when they eat a tonne of pastries every morning?
A very relaxing Holiday in a wonderful hotel the service was top notch the only thing I could complain about was the lack of evening entertainment. The bar staff are brill and try their best but the animation team are just a waste of time. Snorkeling off the pontoon is a must, as are the quad bike rides through the desert, also the boat trip to find Nemo and YES we did, was well worth the money.
The shopping and nightlife in Naama Bay was not that great I don't go abroad to eat at McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Etc.and the hassle from the shopkeepers is so annoying, you get much better goods at cheaper prices in Turkey. Fantastic weather for an Easter break If you want to chill out by the pool (Bodyline) have fun and games (Splash Pool) Then this is the place to go.

Apr 2006, Mr David

Others have mentioned the steps up from the sea - all I would add is that they're not continuous, but lead from one terrace to the next. The views are excellent, particularly if you get a first floor room.
The food is, with one important exception, very good, but the meat we encountered was anything from ordinary to frankly awful and certainly not 4-star standard. The weather was sunny for every day except one, which was cloudy, but it tended to be windy sometimes.
The other problem was the number of young Russians dominating the hotel. For those who have not met this phenomenon, they are the new Germans - rude, arrogant and lacking a shred of manners between them. One pup came down to the beach early every morning to reserve 15 places for his friends!
There were about 40 benches available there in total, although there are more around the pools. Be prepared to do battle here and at the buffet counters in the dining room.

The hotel and grounds are great!, and very good value for money. The bedrooms are of a good size and are clean and comfortable. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful at all times, you are made to feel very welcome.
There are lots of steps (we counted 75 in all), but there are slopes as well for pushchairs and wheelchair users. We thought the food could have been a little more varied, but other than that it was great. We would definitely return!
PS the weather was fantastic!

Oct 2005, Mr C Harrison

Reception area bright clean and modern with a very proffessional standard by staff. Representative, perhaps the best we have met in over 30 years of travel.
Located in Sharks Bay, all rooms have either a sea view or a view of any one of the three pools. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. Food was buffet style in the main restaurant, a good variety and plenty available, (although in our second week of our stay, at very busy periods we found understandably that some items in the serveries had either run low or out, However a simple request to the chef's, did bring further quantaties). An excellent fish restaurant is on site, offering a five course meal (extra cost), unfortunately due to the cost few people seemed to use this in the evening.
Some of the Gym facilities along with spa treatments for the adults were out of action during our stay due to extension and rebuild. Facilities for young children are good and well maintained (pool, play area, dining chairs etc.). Hotel has its own Diving centre (concession), although English is spoken it's influence is more Italian.
Staff were all extremely pleasant, loved to share a little humour yet always retained a proffessional manner.
We were lucky to visit the sister hotel adjoining, The Grand Rotana Resort and Spa, we were made to feel very welcome and invited to make use of the luxury facilities its main pool would probably be best described as a lake.
I arrived in Sharm a little apprehensive, would I return? MOST DEFINITELY. SPLENDID!

Oct 2005, Mrs B Whitbread

The staff were pleasant and always very helpful, the main restaurant staff were helpful, food was the same no variety from each night and was on the most part luke warm to cold, and the doors were shut about 7.30pm because there were no free tables even though they had several tables not set up.
The pools were good. rooms were basic, bathrooms disappointing. There were 72 steep steps to the restaurant and reception which was not mentioned in the brochure. Very little entertainment in the evening. This hotel would suit people who want to lay on a sun bed all day or if you dive. The trips we found were a bit expensive.

These were lovely apartments. They were clean and well kept. Our apartments overlooked the beach, which was lovely, but we had in total 95 steps to climb twice a day to reach the main mermaid restaurant. The food in this main restaurant was plentiful but didn’t really cater for the English very well. The hotel was a little isolated and you have to take taxis to get to the shopping area. You couldn’t really walk outside the complex in the evening as it was very dark and isolated. The staff were always willing and happy to help in every way. There was hardly any entertainment in the evening. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday then this is the place to be. But if you want something a bit lively you will have to take a 15 minute taxi into Naama bay.

Just returned from coral beach hotel....

Jun 2005, Mr DC Grey

Just returned from coral beach hotel. Excellent service loads of food very good quality don’t understand those who say food poor, you couldn’t have a bigger choice.
Waiters really try and help you, hotel spotless rooms clean ,clean towels for beach every day, although the entertainment was a bit naff with it being aimed more at the Italian tourist, rather childish at times but no pressure to join in, beware complex has loads of steps not suitable for elderly, in all very good will go again weather very hot.
Note...you cant swim off beach due to coral reef also don’t get conned into buying visa if you don’t intend to leave the area.

Hotel was very nice overall and the staff are first class. Whilst our hotel room was pleasant, the bathroom was disappointing and in some places scruffy. The bathroom door was rotten at the bottom and lighting etc was badly fitted, leaving holes in the ceiling around the fittings. The food in the Mermaid Restaurant was disappointing and despite the evening meal costing only seven pounds sterling, was rarely worth the money. The sandwiches in the other various bars around the hotel, which came with chips or whatever, were more satisfying and better value. Beautiful pool areas and ideally located for the snorkelling, right on the red sea beach. Overall, a relaxing week but this hotel has some way to go to meet the hoped for Thomson Gold Award.

Oct 2004, nickibest

A fantastic holiday overall at the hotel. The hotel itself is situated just outside Naama Bay, (£3.00) in a taxi and takes around 5 minutes.
Food here was "international cuisine" and seemed to cater very well for all nationalities present, even our 13 year old daughter was happy.
There are 3 pools the one closest to the beach has the excellent animation team so is quite lively, the pool near reception is very quite and the third pool near the gym with a swim up bar is very good for relaxing.
All the staff here were extremely pleasant and always pleased to help you in any way they could.
The facilities at the air-conditioned gym were very good, also the full body massage is certainly a treat.
The Brauaus and Mocha cafe were very reasonably priced and a very pleasant evening can be had being entertained by the resident singer.

Wonderful Hotel with great service...

Sep 2004, Miss FS Sander

Wonderful Hotel with great service from all the staff, the Hotel Manager Mr Islam is charming and most helpful person, my wife had a super time at this hotel and I can give it my best recommendation. At this Hotel you are right on the reef and ready for some wonderful snorkelling. Also shuttle bus in to Naama Bay in the morning and afternoon free of charge. The Hotel is only twenty minutes away from the airport, saves a long journey to your Hotel. A very satisfied customer.
