Afew folk whilst we were there said theyd food poisning yet sunbathed on speaking with them theyd not been to chemist just took there own tablets its the heat that gives you bad tummy not the food .Plenty off places to eat outside hotel an very large portions an so cheap .Nite time not much entertianment but if you go to sister hotel thats were to find it .We didnt have any problems with the european guests being rude or pushing in at bar only that they sunbath with speedos up there cheecks an walk round same lol hope this helps you pls be open minded we had a lovley time and will be going back .

Rude, unhelpful reception staff when we arrived a 1a.m. Food luke warm and poor quality. No vegetarian main meal option. Main bar staff rude, unhelpful, miserable looking and serve Italians and Russians before English guests. Only bribes in advance get you good service in the restaurant, bars and on the beach. Which way restaurant filthy and poor service. Belongings moved by beach staff when you are in the sea, so that Russians and Italians can have your sunbeds - bribes again. Agressive and bullying guests left unchecked by hotel staff. Hotel looks good but overall, an absolute disgrace of a hotel and watse of money.

we had a fantastic holiday at the garden hotel. we have 4 kids aged 7 to 15 and all had a great time. the hotel and room was great. the kids were entertained with water polo, wind surfing and snorkelling. the food was good ( if u want english breakfast go to benidorm!!!) our kids love trying new foods and don't expect to find english foods on the menu. it was hot and sunny and we would certainly go back. just be careful of the beach towel situation as they do try to con you to have to pay for a towel card!

Another Great Holiday

Just got home from Laguna Vista (Beach Resort). It was our 3rd time at the hotel and as with the other two times, it was a fantastic holiday.
The snorkelling in Sharm is the best in the world and even a 5 minute walk into the sea opens up a new world. A great place for kids and adults to appreciate the sea life.
The staff in the hotel are very friendly (take into account that they are away from their families for 40 days at a time). They remember us year after year.
You really have to find your own entertainment in the evenings but you have to be a boring person not to be able to find something to do in Sharm. A good tip is to ignore the Italians; they think they own the place. The food can become repetitive but there is a choice of veg, fruit, meat, soups etc. There are plenty of places to eat outside the resort though so you can mix it up.

i went with my wife to the laguna beach garden hotel, the room was large and clean with a tv,safe and mini fridge.the problem was that the fridge was empty.the bathroom was large and clean with sink, toilet and walk-in shower.the room was cleaned every day and the cleaner was cheerful and friendly as was the bar staff by the pool.the problems we encounted were as follows.the food in the restaurant was bland and repetative and at times cold instead of hot, some of the waiting on staff could not speak or understand english.the entertainment in the evening was non-existent you had to go to the sister hotel across the road if you wanted any.everyday at 4pm the staff fumigated the whole of the pool area and the whole area was cloaked in thick grey chocking smoke.(vacated pool area prior to 4pm)we went on a jeep safari (independantly booked)and had a brilliant full day out, food included plus camel ride.other problem,i used local bank atm machine, machine kept card had to go to bank dy after to get card back.

slightly disappointing hotel but a brillant holiday

Overall my boyfriend and I had a brilliant holiday in Egypt, however we did find that we has some major disappointments with the hotel. I don't want to fault the hotel too much as it is beautiful, the pools are lovely, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are brilliant. However we were very disappointed with the all inclusive deal as there was a very limited selection of drinks which you could get for free. I can understand the use of using local products and the extra charge for international brands however I do think that it was shocking that you could'nt even enjoy a glass of local wine for free except at meal times. Also the fact that in the evening you were limted to only the lobby bar for free drinks means the nights can be repetitive and quite boring, especially with the lack of entertainment.
My boyfriend and I never had too much of a problem with the food except I would agree that it was often cold and extremely repetitive, although there is a nice pasta station where you can chooso what you would like.
We visited the Italian restaurant twice and found the food to be nice there although we were disappointed with the fact you could only go once for free and there was a very limited set menu for all inclusive so we did end up paying on both occasions however it was very cheap and really worth a visit.
During the holiday we never encountered a problem with any of the Italian or Russian guests or with finding a sunbed around the pool. Although if you want one of the four poster beds you would have to get up early.
The staff were always very friendly and helpful especially the man who works on the dessert counter in the restaurant. The desserts were definately the highlight of the meal!
Through Thomas cook we went on a couple of excellant yet expensive trips. We did the snorkelling trip to tiran island which we found to be great value for money and you are provided with all the equipment plus food and drinks upon the boat.
We also went on the flight to cairo which was an excellant day but quite pricey. The Egyptian musueam is fascinating and the pyramids are a must see. We had a brilliant lunch in the hard rock cafe on the bank of the nile.
Outside of the hotel there a few shops but the owners are extremely forceful at getting you into the shop and once you are in it is difficult to leave. Also beware of all the shops selling perfume which are supposedly family businesses who make their own unique perfumes yet all of the shops sell exactly the same things. Despite this some of the perfumes are lovely and if you want to buy any i would recommend the shop within the hotel.
All in all we did have a lovely holiday despite also suffering from a bit of a upset tummy. I would recommend a holiday to egypt and even to this hotel though personally i don't think that i would return.

this resort was clean but there were many little repairs needing done all around the place.
all rooms looked the same and we did get lost a few times when we did head back to the room...hallways, stairs, windows etc. all identical

the British pool where we spent our week had dozens of broken sun loungers (which had been reported several times by holiday makers over a course of 2 years but still hadnt been replaced or repaired). the pool edge had raw broken edges which were potentially dangerous and the marble paving around the poolside is a serious concern as on my first day i nearly had a bad fall as it became like an ice rink when wet.
our room was nice and it was reasonably clean. again a broken light fitting in the bathroom and food spills from the previous tenant hadnt given us a good first opinion. this spillage was still there when we checked out.
the staff were so nice, they bent over backwards to make sure we had a good holiday and were always chatting to their guests, making them feel welcome.
the food was lovely, always plenty of choice and they had lots of regional cuisine on offer.
the entertainment was ok but they seemed to cater more to their italian clients.
the highlight of our holiday was off the resort...the quad biking through the desert...a must during a trip to sharm..£20 per bike for over an hour is great.
just dont go on the camels out in the streets of sharm...they will charge you the earth for 5 mins, but the organised camel trip in the desert is fantastic.

Luckily the hotel and the high standard of cleanliness/wonderful landscaped areas along with helpful staff has enabled me to give the holiday a rating of 8/10. Our bungalow was wonderful, however if I was asked about the food it would be another matter altogether.
We found breakfast and lunch acceptable BUT the dinner in the evening was very disappointing due to the fact that they stood the "heated" tureens out on the verandah in the evenings where they caught the wind thus causing the heating to go out under the tureens making the food either just warm or cold. Not very pleasant. The chefs were told about this by guests but nothing changed in the time we were there.
We have been to other Sharm hotels and found that the choice of food and the way it was served was 100% better than the Laguna Vista.
Wont be going back here in a hurry, which is a great pity at the hotel and facilities were superb.

we went as a party of 6 (5 adults 1 child) we all thoght the hotel was amazing we stayed in the bungalows as appose to the main hotel building which were brilliant, cleaned everyday and very spacious couldn't fault (although if you have young children probably not the best as they had 2 floors and no way of blocking of the stairs). all the staff we came accross were very helpfull and polite and were more than happy to help. we went on the beach a few times to do some snorkling which was brlliant you can either swim straight from the beach or go along the piers, the water is really shallow but still really good fun and there are plenty of loungers on the beach never had a problem getting one. although we went all inclusive there were things that were not included like the cave bar hence why it was always empty there were also a few restaurants near the beach which were on the grounds of the resort but are not included. there are sheisa tents on the grounds which again you have to pay for but well worth the money, a nice way to end a busy day relaxing drinking tea listening to bob marley and having a smoke. the food was great every day there was something different sooooooo much to choose from (only 1 of us got ill during the holiday). just outside the resort there is a shopping area and a few restaurants and fast food chains (mcdonalds, kfc) if you fancied a change. its was nice to adventure out of the resort and have a look round the shops which are open really late they are literally opposite the resort. we would all highly reccomend this resort and cant believe some of the other reviews which say nothing but bad things about it honestly coudlnt fault anything had the best holiday ever and cant wait to go back there.

The hotel has a fabulous location and a wow factor, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Poor quality and choice meant we ate out 4 times which we never do on all inclusive holidays.
one more thing to note, the hotel has 316 rooms, 160 of these are allocated to an italian tour operator every week so everything to do with entertainment, games etc is geared towards the italians

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Laguna Vista resort for 1 week and found everything about it to be as good as we would have liked.
Our room was one of the separate apartments which was more private and was lovely. The room was cleaned every day, we were given fresh sheets, new shower gel, soap and tissue/toilet paper and the floors and sides were cleaned. The room included a big TV which had some Egyptian channels but also and very good movie channel in English along with cartoon network and animal planet. The room also had a fridge, huge wardrobe, balcony and a big en suite.
All staff we encountered with were SO helpful, friendly and did everything they could to meet our needs.
Water was given out bottled, sealed and cool. You could also order breakfast boxes with a selection of foods if you were going out on an early excursion which were very helpful to the both of us.
The buffet was fantastic! There was so much choice, from vegetables, meat, chips, kid’s foods, bread, salads, fish etc. The puddings consisted of fruit, mousse, local treats, and pastries/cakes. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and quick. It was never cramped or too busy in there either. I was however ill. I had tummy cramps and the dreaded D word. I think this was NOT due to the food but due to me using he tap water to brush my teeth and not thinking about closing my mouth tightly whist in the shower. I did have to buy tablets from a Pharmacy in Cairo, but I expected this to happen really as I tend to get ill when visiting different countries. It didn’t ruin my holiday though.
The swimming pool was great, although the main pool remained at the same level all the way through. We personally found the pool with the beautiful waterfall by it was better as it was slightly shallower, quieter and provided more shade. The beach that the hotel was on was stunning too. It was surprisingly quiet and was a great spot for snorkelling!! and we pay all mask and snorklin and shose for sea and teshert from shop out side hote on lastrada mall from shop a'one for every one its realy nice shop and the man he work inside name adam verey nice and he make big descond for us and we drenk nice tea and smok shesha if you look for good price and big descond goto this shop a'one for every one on lastrada mall
The excursions we went on were great. The prices were very good value for money and Moustafer our tour guide for one of the trips to Cairo we went on was brilliant! So clever and kept everyone happy and comfortable.
If I have anything negative to say about our holiday it would be Naama Bay. It was a taxi trip (which was provided for by the hotel, that was ever so slightly more pricey than the street taxis but worth it as the road taxi drivers are quite dodgy and are labelled "white knuckle riders") that lasted 20 mins and we got out and were greeted by someone who we thought was part of some organisation because he spoke near enough fluent English, but as it turned out wasn’t. To cut a long story short, he was deceitful in the way that he appeared to be helping us, he was flattering to myself, and tricked us very well into getting us into his shop and we couldn’t leave easily without paying his 450 Egyptian pounds (£45) for a load of stuff we didn’t want!! Such a disappointment. DO NOT go to Naama Bay if u are not one to be harassed by locals.
Be careful of the men to out there too. Although it’s in their culture to have up to 4 wives if they wish, I didn’t appreciate the men OUTSIDE of the hotel starring at me in the way they did.
All together a wonderful experience filled with boat trips, the pyramids, safaris and just plain chilling by the pool for my boyfriend and I who have many happy memories from there
