Cactus Hotel & Apartments

Me,my big sister, my mother and her best friend stayed at Cactus Hotel shortly after my 18th birthday and we all loved it. The hotel is simple and the rooms had everything we needed. Me an my sister shared a pretty good sized room with a little kitchen, a big bed, a small cosy bathroom and a beautiful balcony. We paid extra for air conditioning, but it was mostly unecessary (I caught a pretty nasty cold). There's a little supermarket right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. We bought some eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, mayonnaise, bread and fruits and made our own breakfast every morning, which we then enjoyed out at the balcony. After breakfast we went out to the pool and laid in the sun. The pool area is not too big, not too small, but a very good size. The pool bar was also excellent. The staff is very kind and welcoming and willing to help out with anything from booking a cruise, making you a cup of tea, recommending a good restaurand and so on. The hotel is only a couple minutes away from the beautiful beach and also the main strip.
I felt very relaxed and most of all home while staying at Cactus Hotel.
I would return any time!

I went on a 6th year holiday here in July 2010 with 16 other girls and it was so much fun. The shops, clubs, beach and restaurants were only 2 minutes away. The rooms were nice, basic and clean. The owners and cleaners were so nice and the atmosphere during the day at the pool was great, they had songs playing all day by the pool. Would definetly go back again!

1st holiday away with my boyfrend and reeeli wish we choose sumwere else... it was a cheep holiday but not even woth the 2hundred pound we paid... was a dump!!! room was so basic, cleeners wood cum in even if u wer lyin in bed...onli nice thing were the two main ppl worked there. NOW FOR THE WORST PART.... tryin to sleep at night with the awful noise from younger ppl was impossible.... managers didnt even do anythin about it. was not happy with my lack of sleep! DEFO WOODNT GO BAK TO CACTUS

if youre going to zante, cactus is defintely the best place to stay, it is amazing!
8 17-18 year old girls went for a week in august and had the best times of our lives. the rooms are perfect, decent size, clean, good facilities etc. the pool is amazing, pretty big and all the PRs from the clubs come and hang out at our pool so its so sociable during the day. the staff are lovely. food & drink all good and well priced. the security guard Alex is a ledgend, dont bring people back to ur hotel or he will get angry :Pwe made so many friends at the hotel, everyone was soo nice.
the locaction is absolutely perfect, about 2 mins from the middle of the strip and 3 minutes from the beach!
the nightlife is abs crazy, sooo wild. great as girls get in free everywhere. cherry bay for the win!
loads of nice restaurants everywhere, espeically Cool Peppers (down at the beach).
make sure you do the booze cruise and the school disco- brilliant!
messsy messy week, but so worth it. :)

not worth £5 for a weeks stay id say!
we found used condoms under the bed within half a day of been there? do the rooms not get cleaned before new people come in? curtains hanging off the rail, black mould up the walls in the shower.
during our stay we begged for new towels after about three days and bedding as they hadnt been changed till a day before leaving! 6 days with dirty towels filthy animals!
floor didnt get swept or washed once, left with out toliet roll, only thing that got done every two days was the bins emptyed!
the whole room smelt dirty and dusty
wires hanging out above our shower head, we had no hot water for four nights, the person running the hotel told us it was not there problem?

Hiya just got back from a week at the cactus apartments in laganas where i stayed with my hubby and 2 children (9 and 5)and friends and there daughter also 5.Went the start of may 2010,well what can i say apart from yes it was basic but i guess thats what you pay for but it was clean so to me that is important, our friends had a one bed apart and we also stayed in a one bed apart which had 2 single beds in the bedroom and 2 camp beds in the living/kitchen area it was a little cramped but we didnt go on holiday to spend time in our rooms so it wasnt really a problem.the weather was fantastic the grounds/swimming pool are really well looked after and the people there are very nice and made us fill welcome.the supermarket which is joined to the apartments is very well stocked with english products although a little more expensive than at home,but then again so is everywhere so you do expect it.hairdryer in bathroom but beware it gets really hot to hold so you have to do your hair in stages,shower with curtain which is just fine.very small kitchen, toaster and kettle just ideal for making a cuppa and making a sandwich anything else would be to much for it to cope with,although there are plenty of pots and saucepans if you dare!!!!!this apartment is just right for 18-30's as it is the place to go,really pleased i didnt go later on in the season as i can just picture what it would be like,so not a family holiday place but was lovely at the start of the season and maybe at the end.beach and taverans and nightclubs only a few minutes walk away so you really are on top of it all.the only down side is the cactus lets anyone in to use there pool so although it wasnt that busy when we where there i guess it can get packed later on when the holiday season really gets started.It really is alovely place just no good for families with small children.

Was in greece for the first time really enjoyed it the weather great was around 36' every day we were there water so saltly did not even have to be able to swim, as you just floated. Cactus apartments made our holiday relaxed atmosphere great couple managing it this summer!!! Bacon and eggs best in Zante!!! Close to the beach about 2 mins walk and the main strip is about 3 mins what more could you want!! I will return.

6 Of us went at the end of july 08 ans stayed at Cactus.. at first we were abit unsure but the loaction was great as the strip was literaly 2 minutes away so it was easy to get back to if one of us wanted to go back. All day the newest R&B and dance music was played around the pool and we often had guys who were stayign out there for the summer come to hang out in our pool which was cool as we made friends. There is a small shop right next to the hotel which has everything you need. The rooms were a good size although we were spilt into two, 2 in one room and 4 in the other. I was fortunate to get the room with 2 of us in which was a prefect size.
If your thinking of comming here i would say its basic but everything you need.. deffinatly do it!!

OMG wow this was the best holiday ever! loads of hot english boys, toned, tanned and tatooed!!! Cheap drink and free drink if David, the barman likes you!! Pink Lady Cocktails are the best. Places to go:Mad Murphys Irish Pub, Rescues(pole dancing), Zeros, Cocktail and dreams(dance on the counters), cherry bay, sabotage(strongest drink ever), GSpot(massive fishbowl), boozers!!! watch out for the quads and motorbikes, they burn! Beach is fab. bring your own wetsuit if you are thinking of going scuba diving. Don't go to the hospital, its absolutely disguisting. smash plates with the greeks on the beach restaurants. go swimming at 5am, best craic ever! don't leave laganas, everywhere else is boring. anyway these apartments are great, just mind the balcony when your drunk. everyone is really cool, especially David and Castillo AKA Gus! air con is good, food is good, pool is good, cocktails are amazing!! don't be afraid to use everybody else lilos. talk to randomers and dont pretend your Irish when your not!!
