Club Capicciolo Villas

Just spent a fantastic week in Corsica on an active beach holiday with wife and 14 year old daughter.
Booked online with Crystal Active and stayed at their Club Capicciolo beach resort which consists of "16 simple villas and 4 superior villas". The simple villa we were allocated "Les Ronces" is well laid out, clean, nice kitchen area, good shower room with separate WC and a covered outside veranda with sea view. Though not luxurious it included all essentials you would expect for self catering and more. All of the villas are a stones throw from the beach but ours, lying at the foot of the slope was the closest, about a 30 second walk from the door.
The sandy beach is about 200 metres long with interesting rocks at either end ideal for exploring. Whilst there were enough people around to make it social it wasn't at all crowded. Crystal provided activities/instruction and equipment for dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and yoga for beginners up to advanced levels. They also provide catamaran joyrides, fun boating, cycling, group yoga sessions, and hiking.
Scuba diving, horse riding and canyoning were also available at an extra cost. Activities were flexible and informally booked and whilst everyone was encouraged to participate there was no pressure to do so.
All of the staff were friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, proficient and good humoured with an emphasis on safety and encouragement.
A hire car was included for the week enabling airport transfers, sightseeing and a trip to the supermarket at the nearby town of Propriano. We had a Renault Modus which was perfect for the 3 of us plus luggage and including air con (which proved essential).
We found the mountainous scenery breathtaking especially en-route from Figari airport.
The weather was identical and perfect every day. Clear blue skies, 32degC by lunchtime, gentle breeze am (for novice sailors/windsurfers) and a stiffer breeze pm for the more advanced.
All in all an excellent break in a superb location looked after by exemplary staff. Well done Crystal.
