Jul 2007, Mr I Thorpe

We stayed here in half term week that’s me, my wife and daughter aged 10.
What a lovely clean and well kept hotel situated in a really good spot in reach of every thing outside of the hotel.
The entertainment was excellent with a range of different shows each night as well as fantastic day time entertainment. This is a British hotel.
The only thing that lets it down is the food, it was terrible. If you want to eat tined, pickled or processed food then this is for you.
There was very little fresh food, just the odd bit of lettuce and tomato.
What a shame the food let it down or we would have definitely booked again.
We don't know where they get there food ratings from as we filled out there questionnaire and there was nothing there about food scores.

Jul 2007, Mrs J Hannant

Just came back from a week at the Flamingo Oasis and can only say that a week wasn’t enough, this has to be the best all inclusive holiday I have ever had in Benidorm (and it was my 7th visit, but 1st to this hotel)
The food was absolutely fantastic, even my very fussy husband never struggled to come from the dining room full, they definitely catered for the English (where else can you get fish and chips on a Friday and roast beef and Yorkshire puddings on a Sunday) and the chocolate pudding and custard was to die for, unfortunately I gained 6lbs in a week!
Well everyone says the Germans are the worst offenders for reserving the sun beds, ermm no way, not a German in sight (the hotel was full of English and Scottish) and people were waiting for the cleaners to finish so they could reserve the beds at 8.30, no need for it really because there was always plenty available, the pool was fabulous and if you want a bit of peace and quiet away from the kids there’s a rooftop pool with sun beds and a bar area for adults only, it was an absolute haven.
The entertainment team worked there socks off day and night and were definitely the best I have seen in any hotel.
The rooms were spotless and spacious and the maid service spot on with fresh towels every day.
The hotel staff were excellent from the reception staff to the maids and all very friendly
Overall I cant fault this hotel at all and will definitely be going back, and will have no qualms about recommending it to anyone.

The hotel was fantastic, rooms were spotless, and the entertainment was brilliant we couldn't fault any of it.
The meals are all buffet style we didn't have any problem finding something to eat even our daughter (age 5) filled her plate up.
At about 8.30am when the cleaners have finished cleaning the pool people are already waiting to reserve sun beds, but we had no trouble finding one.
The beach is about 15-20 min walk away.
We went to terra mitica(theme park),mundomar(dolphin show and sea life/animal park).
Aqualandia(water park) we thoroughly enjoyed them.
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just arrived back from a week in Flamingo Oasis. I must say had the best family holiday I have ever had.
The hotel was perfect they take pride in everything, the food was excellent at all meal times, there drinks were very very drinkable.
Kids and adults were well entertained, the entertainment crew were brill, they worked day and night, and always put a great show on and always had a smile for everyone and the security kept a close eye at all times. Staff and bar staff very pleasant at all times to and hotel and restaurant always kept spotless ...keep up the good work and see you next year.

It was the best holiday of my life quite frankly! Went with family!
The hotel was amazing, the rooms were spotless and the entertainment was fabulous!
The entertainment team are all so friendly and work really hard to make your holiday fun! The food was great!
Only thing was the lifts but that all depends on what floor your put on!
Already going back next year with friends.

Jul 2007, Mrs F Brand

On arrival the hotel is very impressive and the check in only took 5 minutes.
I was with my husband and 3 children (5,9,and 12), our family room was very large plenty of room for us all and very clean. The hotel is very attractive and clean but we were disappointed with the food and entertainment.
Almost every night they served chilli con carne and steak and kidney pie which are lovely but not every night! The meat was of poor quality (very fatty) and there was always flies round the salad!
The entertainment staff were full of enthusiasm but most of the shows were mimed and the entertainers brought in from outside were rotten. The only show that we thoroughly enjoyed was Grease it was fantastic. Starlight Express was performed one night but in the rehearsal Stephanie (ents rep smiles constantly!) broke her wrist so was missing from the show.
Pool was very busy but we always managed to get beds as late as 10am. Gave up trying to gets seats downstairs at night though as it was a free for all at mini disco time! There were usually seats later on though.
Most staff were very friendly but some didn't even look at you when serving drinks. The alcohol was almost nonexistent in the spirits, measures were huge more than half alcohol and half mixer and still could drink all night and feel right as rain.
Cocktails were ok. Wouldn't be happy to recommend this hotel unless food and ents brought up to scratch. Didn't feel like 4 star hotels.
Also if you are going here put the plugs in the sinks before you empty the bath or you get a rotten eggs smell coming through. Huge problem with drainage!
Can recommend visiting Mundomar, Aqualandia and Terra Mitica all great days out!

Just returned from Flamingo Oasis....
5 / 10
Jul 2007, Miss K Hilton

Just returned from Flamingo Oasis. The hotel itself was really nice, staff very friendly and the room was nice.
The lifts were awful waiting 10-15 mins first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
The food was good for adults, rubbish for children (had a 1 year old son). The alcohol was rubbish.
In the morning you had to go down at 8:30 to get a sun bed, and at night you had to go for tea at 7 then rush outside to get a chair to watch the show.

Me and some mates went to this hotel...
4 / 10
Jul 2007, Miss S Wong

Me and some mates went to this hotel between 23 June to 30 June and I doubt we enjoyed the hotel much. We are aged 23, 21, and 18.
The main reason why we did not enjoy it was probably due to the fact that we were all Asians. The hotel staff treated us very differently compared to the other guests who were staying there at the same time. Even the other guests were intimidating.
I have been to quite a lot of 4 star hotels and I do not feel that this hotel should be rated at 4 star because the room we stayed at was not at the right standard.
The towel railing in the bathroom was broken with a massive crack and it was not fixed at all along with the bathroom lock which was left broken. There was a big mouldy patch on the wall which looks like it has been there for some time! Yes, the wardrobe was big enough but it was broken at the bottom.
The bathtub plug hole had some problems on the first day; we had to ask for maintenance twice before it was fixed! On the first time the maintenance man did not understand what I was talking about even though I explained it to the receptionist and to him as well.
He thought I wanted to add a plug to the bathtub because it didn't have one! The problem was finally solved on the 2nd to last day of our holiday - problem with the drainage that caused the smell of badly gone off eggs!
The rooms were kept very clean and they are very spacious like what all the other people commented on, but there were burnt holes in the covers.
As for the dining staff, I only found the Head waiter friendly. All the other staff looked like they were somewhere day dreaming. I would at least offer them a greeting or a smile but they just don't respond.
As for the food there were many times where the food was very salty, especially the paella and chicken. The continental breakfast section was quite enjoyable and the ice cream.
The two most frustrating thing about staying at this hotel were the waiting for the lifts and finding a spot by the pool area. As for the lifts, it is VERY difficult to get one just around breakfast time and dinner time! After 20 mins waiting for we gave up and decided to take the stairs! You can't imagine how many flights of stairs we went through being on the 17th floor before coming down to the ground floor!
There were a lot of entertainment during the afternoon and evenings around the pool area. This is definitely a family hotel as there are LOTS of children running about and shouting even though we went before the Summer Holidays!
There are about eight computers to allow you access onto the internet, but all the kids crowd around that area during the evenings (while the parents are enjoying the entertainment) so it was difficult to get hold of one.
The reps from Thompson were very friendly and helpful all the time!
Overall, I feel that this hotel is more of a 3 star rating standard. I did not comfortable during my one week stay here and did not feel I was treated the same as all the other guests! I would definitely not visit this hotel anymore.

Have just returned from a week's all...
10 / 10
Jun 2007, Mrs T Nunn

Have just returned from a week's all inclusive at The Flamingo Oasis. I took my 3 children, age range 8-16. We had a fab week.
The weather was great. The hotel and ample sized room were spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food to cater for all ages - especially the dessert section.
The entertainment team were fab and they worked their socks off to cater for all ages and they provided some very good shows. The entertainment in general was excellent although a couple of acts were a little cringe worthy. The Hypnotist caused some great laughs.
The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and whichever direction you choose to stroll, there are plenty of cafes and shops to see/visit along the way. My son was especially pleased to find a Macdonald's just by the beach!!
The only negative point is that it was a bit frustrating having to wait for a lift (we were mid-way on the 11th floor out of 25) - particularly first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Despite that we would definitely return to the Flamingo Oasis sometime in the future.

Well, this hotel is amazing for all ages its spot on.
This hotel made the holiday there is a lot of things inside to do and with it being all inclusive you don’t get an excuse to leave the hotel.
Thought I would leave these comments, as I would recommend this holiday to any persons of any age!
I’ve been with my immediate family to Benidorm each year for the past 5 years and each time we go to this same hotel!
I’d never think twice of changing it. It’s very close to the Beach, round the corner to the night clubs.
Round the corner from the markets and there’s just always something to do. The entertainment on a night is fantastic and the meals are great!

Jun 2007, Happygolucky

Have just returned to the UK, after spending a week in the Flamingo Oasis, had to say what a brilliant hotel it is.
Everything from the food to the swimming facilities and the excellent services provided, second to none.
The rooms were spotless and all the staff were helpful and always had a smile.
The entertainment in the evenings was very good. And the adult shows were great, and I have to say without doubt that the Adult Hypnotist show was absolutely hilarious and was the best show I saw on holiday...great... will be back next year.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 weeks. Had a great time. Food and hospitality is superb.
The swimming area and the decor is superb. The entertainment is excellent but in particular I enjoyed the brilliant comedy hypnotist who was absolutely brilliant. He made the holiday, and will be booking again next year.
Thanks again Oasis for a great time.
