Magic Ski Telecabina Hotel

This hotel is in a fantastic location for skiing. The telecabina is liked to the hotel and the ski hire shop is next door. The staff were very friendly but the food was poor - buffet style breakfast and dinner which was repetitive and sometimes unidentifiable!
La Massana is VERY quiet; it consists of a couple of ski hire shops and a coffee shop which are only open for a few hours a day. The only source of entertainment was at the Irish bar located in the sister hotel a few minutes walk away, but even that was far from entertaining! If you’re looking for a day of skiing followed by an early night with a good book then this resort is ideal.
Although this resort is advertised as ideal for beginners, BEWARE - when we went in late January the slopes were being used by the local schools and were full of teenagers who could not ski and as a result one of us was involved in a nasty skiing accident.
We then realised that our ski pass did cover us for the medical centre (your first point of call when involved in an accident at this resort!) Which is not mentioned in the Neilsons brochure!!
The Neilson Reps were clueless and unhelpful (especially after the skiing accident - when we needed them most!) They didn't visit the hotel unless requested and even then gave a blank expression coupled with a shrug of the shoulders when presented with a complaint.
