This was a great holiday! Parga is pretty and traditional and thankfully not commercialised with tacky tourist shops and restaurants - but it is not too quiet a Greek resort either. The harbour has enough hustle and bustle to keep you busy - a great choice of tavernas and restaurants (try the ones in the old back streets where the Greeks go rather than those on the sea front), there are a couple of music bars, even a club hidden away and frequented by some of the younger locals. There are mini markets and shops and places to buy fresh produce, post office - anything you need really. The castle is gorgeous when lit up at night and there are a choice of beaches and excursions. I would love to return to this place.
The Milos Studios are situated slightly back from the harbour near to the Olympic hotel. It takes only about five minutes to walk down to the harbour. Nikos and his mother run them and you will not find a better welcome than here! This man is so friendly. I visited with my boyfriend and he recommended the best proper Greek restaurants to us. There is a lovely bar area and he would serve my boyfriend complimentary 'tapas' style foods with his drink whist he was waiting for me to get ready to out for the evening!
The rooms are clean and nicely furnished - fairly simple but of a good quality. They have complimentary fans for the scorching Greek weather! They also have balconies. The small complex is set in very pretty well kept gardens. There is a bar area and a terrace, and Nikos will even let you access the Internet and watch DVD’s from here if the weather is not so good.
The Milos studios have use of the pool at the Bacoli hotel, which is literally, a couple of minutes walk away. The pool isn’t huge but it’s lovely with a snack bar, and best of all - adults only!
The Milos in Parga is a brilliant place for couples. If you want to experience some of the real Greece but have access to all amenities and be in a bustling town then this place is truly a haven. Thank you Nikos for a fabulous holiday!
Just one thing to mention - the resort is a little hilly. Didn’t bother us at all, but something to take into consideration for anyone with walking difficulties I guess.

We were very disappointed with this accommodation having holidayded the year before with the same company which was first class.
The brochure description says"the rooms are not large" It should have said the rooms are very small. The size and placement of the oven leaves a food prep' area about 7 inches wide. The fridge' had not been defrosted for a long time and was completely frozen up.There were two knives ,one a bread knife and the other a small paring knife. The bracket on the wall in the shower which held the shower head was hanging out of the wall. The wall plugs were two small for the size of the hole.I made a temporary repair by packing the hold with tissue. The electric kettle was faulty. You had to take the plug out of the wall socket to to turn it off or the handle got red hot.The only safe place to stand it whilst it boiled was on top of the safety deposit box.If you stood it on the 7 inch working surface it was right on the edge and if you stood it on the oven hot plate it was at head hight. When ever we used the kettle it was with the utmost caution.
The halfsized stand provided for the suitcases required them to be placed on top of each other and protruded into what little floor space there was.
We also considered the photographs in the brochure were extremely misleading. When you look at the picture of the accommodation you get the impression of spaciousness.
The fact is when we sat on our balcony we were opposite to 12 other balconies about twenty yards away in the adjacent hotel
There were pluses. The maid service was excellent.Clean sheets and towels on a regular basis and the accommodation was clean with plenty of electric points and, best of all, lights that enabled you to read in bed.
It was very handy to get into town.
We considered it two star accommodation which didn't accord with the price we paid.
