The apartments are basic but clean and comfortable! The pool is clean and well maintained. The family who run the restaurant are ok with you has long has you eat in there restaurant but if you dare eat out they make it know they disapprove! They also have a 4 year old Andreas who they allow to bully your kids and his mum openly scowls at you if you complain that he,s hitting your 2 year old in the face!
The only time we eat in the restaurant the family was our best mates! The food was ok but expensive and the drinks in the bar are also expensive! 5euros50 for a cocktail and the bar next door sold them for 3euros 50! The kids play area is ok has long has andrea,s is not there! Overall the hotel is small basic and clean, the family let it down with there rudeness!

We have just returned from two weeks at the Divina Apartments. The location was quiet and close to the beach. The apartment was very basic, clean and tidy although slightly on the small side, the balcony in particular could only accomodate two people at a time even though it was a one bedroom apartment for four of us. The cleaner was excellent and cleaned every other day and changed the bins every day. Nothing was too much bother for her and she couldn't do enough for us.
The pool was excellent, one of the best in the town. The food was expensive compared to other establishments.
All in all a great holiday for the price.

We have just returned from a week in Gouves, the holiday and crete itself is amazing- but the apartments were awful. The staff were rude, inhospitable and one of the worst places we have stayed in a long time. If you are literally looking for a bed for the night and nothing more then go for it, otherwise avoid at all costs. Only redeeming points- good view of the beach if you get it and nice pool...but sheets were not cleaned and air con was a rip off!
Enjoy Gouves though!

I looked up this place before I went and also looked at it on Google Earth. It did exactly what it said on the tin. A good value holiday in self catering accommodation.
Nice quiet location but with a lovely beach.
Not too far to walk to Gouves if you want to for a meal.
Comfortable simple apartment with everything you wanted which was always cleaned thoroughly.
Nice restaurant. We only ate in the town once because Divina was at least as good as anywhere else with a good chpoice of traditional greek dishes. The bunch of free grapes at the end with a glass of Raki was nice.
All staff very helpful. The proprietor let us keep the room until an hour before our flight (possibly because we were the last guests this year) at no extra charge.
Rep was helful but not pushy or intrusive.
Nice swimming pool.
Some low background noise from aircraft landing but this was more interesting than intrusive and we never noticed them at night.
We also hired a car on the internet through Athens car hire. Just a little Fiat Siencento with a sunshine roof but at 110 euros with full insurance it was I feel a bargain. It had a flat battery one morning and they had a replacement car out within the hour.
I would recommend the Apartments Divina to anybody looking for good value self catering accommodation in a quiet location.
It did not dissapoint us in any way at all.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Divina Apartments and have had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean and you had everything you needed. The cleaner came in every other day and was very thorough. The restaurant and pool were very good and the food was fantastic.
I particulary want to mention the waitors, Yanis and Left who made us very welcome and could not have made our visit more enjoyable. We were all very sad to leave.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at divina. We had the best time. The apartments are situated behind a Taverna which is run by the owners family. The beach is just across the road (which is not busy). The apartments are basic but clean. There is a lovely walk along the sea front with tavernas and bars scattered about which takes you to the main town which has plenty of everything( shops, restaurants and bars)
The food at the divina apartments is excellant and very cheap. The family and waiters could not do enough for you and are very very friendly. The pool is a nice size to with plenty of sunbeds and a nice covered area for when your feelin to hot.
I would recommend this place to anyone , and would go back there.

We booked the Divina Apartments in Gouves last minute through the travel agents. We wanted a relaxing week and that is exactly what we got. The apartments were basic but clean and tidy and the staff at the taverna were fantastic. It really felt like one big family. It was so relaxing by the pool and the beach is literally across the road. It was quite a walk into the main town but to be honest there was a fantastic choice of restaurants and bars just a short walk away. The food and service at the Divina was so good that most nights we just stayed there and the prices were fantastic.
I would definitely recommend the Divina Apartments and Gouves is great if you are looking to relax.

Our room was exactly as we expected clean and basic, with air conditioning and a safe deposit box. Bedding was changed twice weekly and towels 3 times a week. The owner and his family along with the staff could not have been more helpful. As the rooms are only available to book in the high season through Cosmos, it meant that all the rooms were taken by Brits.
The swimming pool and surrounding area was clean and tidy. The bar was reasonably well stocked, but as there was no dedicated bar person. There were times when you had to wait to order drinks, as the waiting staff for the taverna also covered the bar. (Maybe I shouldn't drink too quickly).
The taverna had a good choice of food and was good value for money. There was also a Snack Bar menu if you weren't that hungry.
Gouves Kato is a small family orientated resort, so don't expect loads of all night disco bars.
There are many tavernas in the resort and, of those that we went to, there was not one that I would not have gone back to. As for recommendations, we had our favourites, but it would be unfair of me to single out any particular one.
If you had read other reports about the resort you might be concerned about the aircraft noise. Whilst undoubtedly there is a certain amount of noise we did not find it intrusive to our holiday in the slightest.
