Firstly we had a brilliant time and were sad to be coming home!
Accommodation - There were 6 of us in our party 4 Adults and an 8yr old and a 3yr old. We had a very spacious 2 bedroom apt with a pull out bed in the lounge for the kids.
Although we were all inclusive we had a separate fully equipped kitchen with fridge, hob, plates etc. The furniture looked in fantastic almost new condition and everything was spotless.
Food - Having been on a lot of all inclusive before we knew what to expect, there was not quite as much choice as some of the hotels we have been to but the quality of the food was fantastic, none of us had any sort of dodgy tum.
The snacks at the pool bar are good if you can’t be bothered getting dressed and going in the dining room but you have to ask the bar man for a menu there is not one on display.
Also to prove you are all inclusive (it is a half board hotel as well) you have to show your room key which is like a credit card, it’s a bit of a pain when there was 6 of us.
Staff - The staff are friendly but tend to serve paying customers first. The entertainment staff consisted of 2 people, I felt a bit sorry for them as they did the kids club, pool games and evening entertainment but the kids loved it all the same.
Pool - There are three pools all together, only one was heated (middle one) and the others were freezing cold even though it was very hot.
Obviously this meant that everyone was in the warm one which by the afternoon was disgusting and on one occasion a child had pooped in and it was not cleaned up!
Anyone that spent any length of time in it developed a horrible raised itchy rash.
Evening Entertainment - Very good for a small hotel, we have been to some huge ones that have not been as good. The mini disco only lasts about 20 mins though.
Apart from the pool thing we had a fab time and I am sure in summer when it’s very hot the others will be warmer so you won't have this problem.
Costa Teguise is a very nice resort and the beach is lovely.

The Hotel was absolutely boring. The food was disgusting. The staff couldn't care less.
The room was unsafe and windows broken. The supposedly heated pool was freezing. If your looking for a dream holiday or a relaxing break think again, don't bother staying at Las Marinas because you will get neither.
I would tell you to give Lanzarote a miss as well as the locals are unfriendly and just want your money, they could care less if you enjoyed yourself.

Very worried when I found the review page for Las Marinas after I booked the holiday!!
Thank goodness after travelling around in a coach for about 20 minutes, dropping off passengers to other hotels, I was so relieved to be dropped off at the Las Marianas Hotel. First impressions Ye Ha thank you lord, I would have been hung drawn and quartered by my wife and kids if I fluffed it up.
Food fantastic 4 * without a doubt. Rooms 3 – 4 *. Customer service 10 out of 10.
Bit of a walk to the beech – 10 minutes – about 1 mile to main resort but fantastic walk all the way along the front. Hotel Entertainment Fantastic, kids loved it age 3, 6 13.
Would go back without a doubt.

This hotel is meant to be a 4/5 star hotel, the entertainment was total rubbish, the staff at reception were crabbit, the hotel is miles away from everywhere, so you have to taxi, the nearest shop is far away, they have 1 man serving at the bar so your all inclusive is not used up how it should be as you spend have the night queuing!
Everyone in the hotel all moaned and complained about how bad it was. We had a good holiday but only because we met a lot of nice people there, if we hadn’t then the holiday would have been a total disaster! The food was ok, nothing great, they serve cold soup which I thought was a bit odd?
Would definitely never go back to this hotel again, and we are not one’s for moaning, we can enjoy ourselves anywhere we go, oh and the lifts were broken for the whole week and had not been attempted to be fixed, and we were on the 3rd floor with a 2 yr old in a buggy. The air con wasn’t working either for the full week we were there and they don’t care!

Although the walking distance from the hotel to the beachfront was somewhat excessive (and perhaps inconvenient for senior citizens), there was a courtesy bus provided which ran from the hotel to the beach every day and in the event that you missed the courtesy bus back to the hotel, there was a taxi rank close by which only cost between 2 and 3 Euros for the journey back to the hotel.
The rooms are spotlessly clean with frequent maid service and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is three storeys high but unfortunately there are no lifts available for disabled holidaymakers or for those with young children. The hotel itself has an internet café if you want to keep in touch with family and friends.
In the bar at night there is some entertainment and in the week my self and my husband were there, several shows took place (one of which was a parrot show, which the children (and myself) enjoyed immensely). There were two children's entertainers but this was mostly just leading the children in dances, for example the Hokey Cokey and the Conga.
The meals were well presented and served buffet style, with plenty of choice and variety and with pizza and chips for the children. The menu was translated into several languages so that everyone knew what each dish was.
My only complaint would be that the supermarket in the hotel closed at around about 1 o'clock. If you checked in any later than this, you would have to wait until the next morning to get any water or necessities for your room.
This was our first visit to this hotel and I would not hesitate to return a second time. Even the hotel cats are very friendly. The day shift cat taught me to "meow" in Spanish and the night shift cat saw us safely to our room.

Good Points: Very spacious rooms, cleaned everyday, Food was very good, with regular changes to the buffet, plenty of choice at meals.
Bad Points: Very badly run hotel, never saw a Manager there the whole week. Staff do not speak great English. Not enough staff as had to wait ages at all the bars for a drink. All inclusive guests do not have to pay for the gym, but we were charged, but eventually got a refund after much arguing. The pink tiles round the pool were very slippery if in bare feet.
Watch out if you are in a ground floor apartment at the back of the hotel near the shop as we were broken into as well as another couple of rooms there. Check the bedroom window locks as ours was broken which I don't think they would be in a hurry to fix. As we were broken into on the last day, the hotel wouldn't even give us another room for the night and expected us to sleep in the room with broken locks.
Also, one of the party got salmonella there on the second day.
Overall, could be a lovely hotel, if managed properly.

Over all as we were a group of 11 it was enjoyable and fun having drinks from next to the swimming pools. We also liked having hot chocolate and cappuccino from the bar. The receptionist was really nice and spoke good English.
The food was really nice as kids always like chips and pizza and pasta all the time but after a while the food also got a bit boring and we thought when will we be able to eat home food again. But the deserts were nice and there were a range of deserts. The entertainment was good we won once in bingo and once in guess the peas in the bottle which was good.
The best show in the entertainment was the Brazilian show was fantastic. But a day before we was leaving two of our things got stolen as someone got into the window with a screw and took my cousins mp3 and mobile phone which we wasn't happy about.
So we went to the reception and asked for the manager and she wasn't there and we hadn't ever seen the manager in the actual hotel. Overall it was a nice hotel. Also had nice people. Thanks Las Marinas Resort.

As soon as we walked into the foyer we new that this was a quality hotel. Everything was clean and the staff friendly. The apartment was large and clean and had everything in you would need. The food was fantastic, we all gained weight during our stay. The fact that the kids could eat ice cream and drink pop for free all day was wonderful.
The only downside to the whole holiday was the entertainment. The kids club was a shambles and the rubbish that we were subjected to was dreadful. The acts that were enjoyable lasted for 1 hour at the most, some only twenty minutes.
While I would gladly recommend anyone to stay at this resort, if you are going for the nobly knees or glamorous granny competitions, Las Marinas is not for you.

We had the misfortune of staying at this hotel in Jan 06. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere so car hire is essential. Food is basic and repetitive.
All inclusive is a waste as drinks and snacks are very limited and you have to pay a fortune to use gym and indoor pool. Tiles on hotel complex are deathly slippery and lethal for kids. Hotel kids club is a small shed and kids playground is 2 swings and a football net. We had our hotel room broken into on our last but one day and lost everything even our shoes! We had to fly home the next day in our flip flops.
Hotel manager was nowhere to be seen and although we were promised he would ring us on our return we are still waiting! Thomas cook also did not want to know so beware!!!! We wish we had stayed at home!!!

Half km from the sea and approx and 2kms from lovely bay beach but you can walk or get the hotel bus to the main beach 3kms. Plus hotel does packed Lunch ( check for chilled water though)
Great double bedded room + sofa so 5/6 possible + kitchen - Great space.
Try to get a central room so you save on the walking but all ok.
Hotel not to large and entertainment not up to largest hotels but we would return.

We had a great time although the weather was bad. The entertainment team were great and really friendly.
There is one main problem about the hotel and that the floor is very slippery and many of my family fell over.
I recommend people to go to this hotel especially if you have children as they are well looked after by the entertainment team.
The food is very basic but it changes every night and has a wide variety of dishes.
When we were there someone cut their foot open in one of the pools but about half an hour after the child doing it the pool was shut and about 2 days later reopened and the whole floor of the pool was redone.
The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel and the space around the hotel is very clean.
The company we went with were very rubbish as the tour guide didn't even explain the trips to us so we got our information we needed from the reception people and were very helpful to us. The staff very very good especially the bar people as near the end of the week they knew who we were.
I would love to go back to this hotel in future.

Very good holiday.
After reading some comments on the internet I was wary to say the least, but upon arrival we were so pleased.
The apartment was very good size, we had a separate kitchen; there was a big bathroom too. It was very clean indeed.
The food was nice and offered variety. The kids club & kids entertainment was average, but they only had two entertainers so you couldn’t expect too much, our daughter enjoyed it anyway and that’s what mattered to us!
The only downfall was the pools were a little chilly but with going in May it didn’t matter as the weather was not to hot and the pool area was VERY slippy - be careful...
Overall a very good holiday for myself, husband & 3yr old child & I would go back... Good value for money.
