Feb 2006, Miss T Stirling

Went to this hotel in July 2004 and it was one of the best holidays I’ve been on!
I was 16 at the time, and went with my best friend and her family, and another family with kids the same age as me! It was great!
The hotel its self was 100%.
Always very clean and tidy, with the rooms being cleaned every day for the 2 weeks that we was there.
The cleaners were brilliant. Even left us heart shapes made from the towels, with flower petals sprinkled in the middle!
Rooms were very cool, always clean towels each day, and very comfortable.
Our room was one of the stone rooms overlooking the pool and the beach. We had an upstairs and downstairs to our room and there was loads of space.
The food was 100%.
We went all inclusive and the standard was brilliant. Very worth the money! Always loads of fresh salads, breads and cold things, and always fresh hot dishes to choose from each night. Plenty of selection!
The complex was brilliant. Always plenty of sun beds and always loads of space on the beach.
There was a shop just over the road, and a short walk to the small Torba harbour area. (A nice walk in the evening when the sun is setting!)
A few restaurants in Torba, but if you wants loads of choice and more action, then Bodrum is the place, which took about 10-15 mins in a taxi each night! After evening meal, we went into Bodrum most nights, where there’s loads of Bars, restaurants and clubs!
The water sports facilities were ace!! The guys who manage them were the best!!! They were really, really friendly, always up for a laugh, and real good fun when you get to know them! (I still write to one of the guys now who worked there when I was there!) He’s now studying at uni to be an English teacher!
We did a scuba diving trip when in Turkey, I recommend this!!! It was a fab day! Not only the accompanied dive that we did was excellent, but the day overall was good! Plenty of sunbathing on the Deck of the gullet (Turkish word for a boat), loads of swimming and jumping off the boat, free lunch included, and also the under water pictures that the diver takes, are a must!! I paid extra for these, but are a real good reminder of a fab day!
Overall the holiday was 100% fantastic. Very recommend the hotel!
Weather in July was amazing! Really hot and plenty to do!!!

Aug 2005, Mrs C Young

After a holiday in hell for our first week which included 3 hotels Yellow rose in Gumbet was full . We were dumped in Anka hotel and i use that word hotel very loosely. Waited 6 hrs for a rep we were then put into a all Turkish hotel with no air con and it was 48 deg.
Food was bad.
Sister and I were took to hospital when the rep finally arrived after waiting 4 days (and them missing 6 appointments) .we had gastric stomachs and had to be put onto a drip.
We refused to go back to hotel from hell, and we were placed into the palm area hotel in Torba on day 8 of our holiday the
Hotel was fantastic as were the staff ,food was very good,
Always good choice, always hot.
Not alot of entertainment
But for a quite relaxing holiday with no rowdy drunks. **** holiday.

An average three Star Hotel. But...

An average three Star Hotel. But Value for Money. The accommodation we were in was in a great position overlooking the pool and the sea. Was cleaned every day. The food was good. Nothing to fancy, but a good selection of cold salads, and always a hot choice too. The Staff were very good. Any problem was sorted out very quickly and efficiently. They were friendly all the time, which I think is miraculous bearing in mind the rudeness and ignorance they have to put up with from a lot of our fellow Brits. The entertainment left a bit to be desired, so if you want international cabaret every night, this isn’t the place for you. The tour operator’s trips were, as per usual, overpriced. You really are better off hopping on a Dolmus into Bodrum and booking one there. The Captain of the boat moored on the Jetty does a nice little day cruise which takes you to some nice quiet swimming holes.
I’m sorry, but there were an awful lot of people moaning while we were there, about things like the lack of 'proper kids food'. There were loads of proper kids food as far as my kids were concerned, just no chips, burgers, chicken nuggets, pizzas and Baked Beans. Just teach your kids to eat proper food people!! Actually, you could even get burgers and chips anyway, as they had an early dinner for children which provided all the Junk that you apparently cant live without for a couple of weeks.
Torba itself is very quiet, with a few restaurants, and no bars to speak of. But with all inclusive I didn’t feel that too important. Bodrum is exactly the opposite. Very busy, and a shoppers paradise.
The lads who look after the Watersports at the Palm Area are worth getting to know. They are great.
Make sure that you go have a Turkish bath and massage at the Izer Hotel opposite. Wow.
