" AMAZING!!!! "

I don't recognise the early negative reviews from our holiday experience. This was a fantastic holiday.
Our first Sunsail holiday and we have already booked for next year! The accomodation is fantastic - built like an old fashioned village with courtyards and cobbled streets. We had a huge, stunning room with beautiful sea view - we would have paid 4 times the price for such luxuary skiing.
Food was fantastic and turkish in style which made it much more interesting. Lots of basics though for the children if they are not too adventurous. Service fabulous - very hard working Turkish retaurant staff. It is half board but with tea and cakes at 5:30 every afternoon we didn't need to buy any extra food whilst we were there. Children are full board. Bar prices are steep if you want to get drunk every night - but we were there for the sailing not the apres sail...
Childcare fantastic - my son even ended up with 1-1 sailing tuition two afternoons. Lots of activities on and off the water to suit all children.
Sailing kit was varied although too much emphasis on Topper brands - Topaz, Omega etc and not enough Laser brands. Some little bits of kit needed work - cleats etc but all in all the beach staff were great and sailing was awsome. Hobie Cats were the highlight with a trapezing 7 year old. Day yahts were great for a day trip out and lunch in a restaurant nearby.
One member of our party loaths sailing but found lots of things to do including organised trips, walks, exercise classes, mountain biking, spa trips and a turkish hammam at Datca - ask about it at reception if you want an amazing experience and are adventurous!
My only gripe would be the Spa which was UK prices but not UK standards but apparently the massages are great!
Would recommend this resort to anyone who likes sailing, or just a great holiday with lots of choice of activities. Singles, couples or families.

" I've just returned to cold, damp... "

I've just returned to cold, damp England after two wonderful weeks at Club Perili. Reading the reviews already submitted, it seems that early problems have all been resolved superbly, as there were no issues at all for us (2 adults, 2 kids). The accommodation was excellent, the food plentiful and very good, the bar prices were what I had expected for a relatively 'closed' market, and the kids activity groups were so well run it almost defies belief.

All the staff, whether British or Turkish, had one thing in mind - helping the guests enjoy their holiday to the full. And this is exactly what we did. Despite one day of torrential rain (which flooded a couple of rooms) the weather was superb throughout. And even those whose rooms were wet were re-located immediately, even though this meant staff rushing around in the middle of the night sorting everything out. The club manager, Steve, was always available for any questions or issues, and the other staff were all friendly, approachable, and extremely professional. The sailing facilities were excellent, and everyone I met was having the time of their lives.

I'd recommend Perili to anyone - and I'd gladly return there, and brave the tough airport transfer as well, now I know what's waiting at the end of the road!

" This was our 2nd Perili holiday and... "

This was our 2nd Perili holiday and we will go again as both have been fantastic. Excellent childcare for our children (aged 4 and 2) meant that we could sail nearly all day for 6 days a week. Our son loved his Snapper's club so much that he didn't want to come out. We took them out on dinghies and yachts and played tennis with them when they'd let us. All facilities were safe and easily available. Sandy Bay is 20 minutes walk, or a short yacht sail, away for those who want to make sandcastles. The restaurant there is good too.

We loved the food provided at the club. About 20 types of fruit and veg a day beautifully prepared, ripe, delicious and local. Delicious mezes and puddings. Main courses, when I could fit them in after the enormous plates full of mezes, were grilled chicken/fish etc. Tea and cakes every day meant that you could never go hungry.

The Turkish staff are so kind, courteous, attentive and hard working. Also very nice to children.

Nannies/childcare staff cannot be praised highly enough - keeping the children happy all day with varying activities in direct view of lots of holidaymakers and occasionally eavesdropping parents!

Beach staff very enthusiastic and helpful. Maybe they could do with more RS800's. We did think the bar was expensive, but why shouldn't it be? We stocked up on gin on the plane, tonic and water in Datca when we took a yacht there, and hardly spent anything at the bar in 2 weeks.

Transfer wasn't bad with air-conditioning and cold water provided. Welcome excellent and any slight problems we had were dealt with immediately and politely. (i.e. obtaining postcards of Perili at the club/getting a doctor for my sick husband (not Perili belly!)

Overall excellent family fun and very good value.

" After reading some of these reviews I... "

After reading some of these reviews I can only think that we must have been in a different place, or, things must have improved. Yes it was a long transfer but we knew that, the flight was delayed two and a quarter hours with no explanation until we boarded, but hey this is a charter flight not scheduled.

We arrived at our destination at 1.30am, early morning, yet all reception staff were there to greet us, they had had a very long day also, restaurant staff were ready to serve us hot homemade soup and bread, very welcome it was too, our luggage was waiting outside our lovely spacious rooms with a sea view. After a comfortable nights sleep our holiday started with a delicious breakfast, lunch and or evening meal and at 5.30, tea and cakes.

All these meals were prepared by kitchen staff wearing protective gloves, and their hair covered, the food was absolutely delicious, we didn't suffer with tummy trouble at all. The bar prices were expensive, but if you go on this type of holiday, the majority can afford it. The unpleasant smells which we sometimes experienced were no different to Greece or Cyprus.

All staff whether Turkish or English were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone at Club Perili (including the cleaners and gardeners) we will be back.

" I've just come back from a week in... "

I've just come back from a week in Perili and I can only say it was just gorgeous. OK there was a 3 hour transfer, but you were told about this beforehand, Sunsail did not hide this from you at all.

The food was excellent and the club manager told us that all food preparation was done to UK H&S standards. I didn't hear of anyone that suffered Perili-Belly.

The rooms was beautiful, small touches that made each one different and showed that thought had gone into them. The resort actually felt like small village.

This was my first Sunsail holiday and I will definitely be going again. The staff were incredible, I have never come across a group of dedicated, professional and genuinely enthusiastic bunch of people (UK and Turkish staff), On my last trip to Turkey with another female friend, we felt like cheap pieces of meat and vowed never to return, I am very happy to say that this has now been re-balanced.

I had signed up for two courses (Dinghy 1&2) and both instructors were brilliant, friendly, knowledgeable and capable of answering my tirade of questions. At the end of my week I had passed both courses and could rig up my own boat and complete a triangular course.

I was traveling with friends who had an 20 month baby boy that, both parents sang the praises of the childcare facilities.

All in all I had a great time, and would definitely recommend Sunsail, and this resort.

" This was my second Sunsail holiday... "

This was my second Sunsail holiday and my families 4th and every time we go it just gets better and better. The resort is spectacular and the rooms are huge and every room is different.

I was staying in the Han building and I think this was the best of the buildings due to it's Turkish charm and a beautiful fountain that’s right in the middle of the building. Having said that all the rooms that I saw were all lovely.

The food was absolutely delicious and there was always plenty of everything and the evening entertainment was also very good although the bar prices are very expensive.

Ali's is a local restaurant in the next bay along called Sandy Bay and the food is wonderful and they'll even come pick you up and drop you back to the resort.

I can highly recommend the aqua aerobics that was on most mornings as well as the cycling, sailing and other activities.
The staff really made the holiday brilliant as they were so friendly and very helpful.

The surroundings are beautiful and the walk up the hill to the look out is well worth the effort. The beach was excellent and never packed and the sunset bar has some huge cushioned chair that are perfect to relax in and read your book.

I would thoroughly recommend this holiday and I have just booked to go back again this April.

" After 8 years of holidays with... "

After 8 years of holidays with Sunsail, this is the first time I will be complaining to head office.

The resort is good, nice accommodation and good food. The problems start with the bar prices. A lot of guests were complaining. Two white wine splitzers and two large cokes will cost the equivalent of £10. If you buy an ice cream, it will cost you three times the price in the local town (Datca) 7 miles away, due to there being no local competition.

Being half board, you have pay extra for any other meals. Again the prices are high compared with other resorts. Here is a tip, nearby in another bay is a restaurant called Ali’s. Reception will dial the number for you, but not make the booking. You have to speak to the restaurant staff yourself. The good news is, they will collect you from the front gate at a time agreed by you. Ali is cheaper that going into Datcha, a meal for 4 with wine and extra drinks was 123 TL (£50), in Datca a meal cost 230 TL (£100) and then you have to add on the cost of transport.

On the good side, the sailing kit is good. To the beach staff I can only give praise, I would not like to be up to my waist in semi cold water for the best part of a day for £60 a week. The sailing teaching was to a high standard and the safety cover is the best that I have seen.

The other point to remember is the coach journey from the airport to the resort is about two and half-hours long. You do get a short break both ways, but it is very twisty through the hills.

" Arriving at this resort is like... "

Arriving at this resort is like taking a trip to Portmeiron, Wales its electic style of buildings, is a bit mind blowing after an extremely long travel day. you either love it or hate it.

Staying in the Han Mansion was the best choice as far as location to the beach, restaurants and reception. All with children should choose to stay here as its the most level part. The resort is hilly with narrow pathways not always suitable for a buggy. Especially after a hard day on the water.

The rooms are generous in size all with a sitting area and large bathrooms. The bedrooms are light due to inadequate curtaining and the holiday can start early if you have children whom are used to blackout blinds!

The food was mediocre, this not being our first Sunsail holiday, we were disappointed by the repetitive food styles and their 'al a carte' menu is appalling. Yet again several clients complained of 'Perili Belly'. There was no restaurant to walk off site to as advertised. Only the Spa Bar which opened at 11.30pm and seemed to be full of the staff getting very merry!

The beach was not sandy which made for disappointing sand castle attempts. The sea was clear however a clear sulphur smell was detected every day. This smell was also present in our room one day returning from sailing, it was deliriously strong and although our room was changed with ease, the Turkish Duty Manager did say that this was an ongoing problem within the resort. we were not the only guests whom had experienced this!

The famed overstuffed large chill out cushions were not around the beach, in their place were plastic loungers of which their were clearly not enough. The resort was half booked when we were they and still the towel on lounger competition commencing from the early hours.

The beauty Body zone was like a palace to visit, very large rooms and exceedingly good massages. The only concern being that my therapist needed the toilet half way through the treatment and a tennis court is located right next door, which was being used for a game of football, which was not so tranquil. The prices were the same as England.

The sunset bar is what is says it is and whilst having a happy hour, watching the sunset is special. This was when volleyball was played as the gravely stones on the beach got a little cooler, unfortunately this was a staff game that seemed to exclude clients and on an occasion were a ball was requested it could not be found for the clients however could be for the staff.

The sailing was good very strong winds which kept alot of clients off the water. The dinghy’s, windsurfers and yachts were varied and many ribs looked after your safety whilst at sea. The waters are frequented by dolphins which is an added bonus to have then swimming alongside. There was a general consensus that the beach staff were a bit rude at times, asking you to rig up your sport 16, then having to wait ages for a rib to pick you up however generally it was good. The only boats out of action were Hobbies with rudder problems and the unusual of the yacht mast snapping!!

Overall an average experience we would not choose to go to Club Perili again.

" Amazing accommodation, really well... "

Amazing accommodation, really well decorated (in local style) and plenty of room. The food was plentiful and of good standard and the staff were very helpful.

Site helpfully operated a cash-less, swipe-card scheme. All bills paid for at the end of the week by credit card or travellers cheques. A great idea.

The sailing equipment was very good and the beach staff were always on hand and willing to help. Sailing conditions were great for a beginner and relaxed for the experienced sailor.

Non-sailing activities included, mountain biking, trekking, tennis, trips out, swimming, canoeing, scuba diving, snorkelling and health spa.

SO MUCH TO DO! And a nice beach when you wanted to do nothing.

Would recommend for families with small children, the clubs and leaders were above average and the children were so happy.

" The hotels main holding tank for the... "

The hotels main holding tank for the hotels sewage was not emptied properly and resulted in the contents pouring out all over my bathroom floor, and into my room.

The managers response was to laugh, although he did eventually get someone in to clean it up.

A lot of the sailing boats were constantly broken for whatever reason and the staff did not seem too concerned to repair any of the boats.

Overall a terrible holiday and one that for the price I would not recommend.
