" I dont know about you but when you... "

I dont know about you but when you book 4 star accommodation you expect a certain standard in your room
this was supposed to be 4 star but was 2 star accommodation at best - rooms like dormitories, Ikea style hard chairs to sit on. very long very cold corridors before reaching rooms no natural light. hotel rooms for those staying BB or HB are at basement level, window is approx 5Ft up the wall and very dirty so not a lot of light and no view of anything. the whole of the hotel has horrible dirty grey tiles to walls and all floors including bedrooms which makes it very noisy.
the staff are less than helpful as very little English is spoken and no information leaflets available - very much geared to Italian and other nationality guests.

we arrived to be told we had to leave a 100 euro deposit for any damage to the room but to be honest you would be hard pushed to do any damage as [-] all in the rooms and what is in is already damaged. bathrooms very smelly and cramped, not enough room to sit on toilet before your knees are pushing the shower cubicle in approx 22cm between edge of toilet bowl and the shower screen. shower cubicle is 70cm x 70cm (28in x 28) when you lift your arms to wash your hair your elbows bash the sides of the shower unit and wall. the shower always leaked, the only good thing was the maid service, always lots of clean towels which was a good job as most of them we needed to soak up the water on the bathroom floor. the room was a depressing place to have to sleep.

our skiis stayed in our room as no ski locker had been allocated we had been told on several occasions that this would be sorted but even as we left it was still being sorted.

Breakfast was a choice of yoghurt's cereal burnt and stale croissants and bread rolls with a choice of cheese or ham. a toaster arrived on day 3 but soon disappeared.

very loud music playing for most of the day as there was no comfy chairs in the rooms you had no option to sit and listen to this if you did not ski.

I would return to sestriere again as skiing was very good but would warn anyone away from staying in the hotel

DREADFUL PLACE

" Well basically, our holiday came to a... "

Well basically, our holiday came to a rubbish start, as our flights were lovely and so was the transport to the hotel, from then on it seemed to go downhill.

We found reception, and the time it took us to get to our room was around 2 hours, we spent 1 hour at the check-in desk, with one receptionist, a full que of people surrounding him, and his priority was to answer the phone calls, i suggest it would be easier for the italians to check-in, as the guy spoke pretty bad english, and the room-card key system obviously wasnt working, as the guy at reception spent half the time trying to get our keys to work.

We were then told the wrong directions to our room(Our room was a 5 minute walk down a cold corridor, some people's rooms where even further) With Two teenagers, we were not impressed at all.

When we finally reached our room(after walking all over the resort) The room was in alrite conditions, but clearly the hotel was not built to last, with cracks in some of the floor tiles, shower cubicles, which are the most flimsy i have ever seen which definately do not keep the water out, our beds where comfortable, but the rooms often got very hot, so if you're staying there, adjust the thermostat to the lowest, and reduce the fan setting.

The meals seemed ok, however we where ok, the younger of our group didnt think much of breakfast, the only thing they seemed to eat was a yoghurt and a bread bun, so for the price we payed, i wouldnt of said it was value for money, i would highly recomend the self catering, as there is a mini mart at the bottom of the hotel.

I was impressed with the storage provided for people's ski's with ski-boxes for everyroom, and the facilities seemed alright, swimming pool is a messing on pool- You cant do serious stuff in it, its very small, and often ridden with kids with floats, perfect if your a family.

I think this is a reasonable hotel, but if i was to go back, i'd stay somewhere else. Ski-ing and the general resort was great.
