" These were taken on holiday with... "

These were taken on holiday with friends at the chalet. I have reviewed the chalet elsewhere and I have to say, although it may be a little basic, the downstairs rooms are a lot nicer than those I managed to video!

Excellent location, and friendly staff!

" I have to admit that the accomodation... "

I have to admit that the accomodation is basic but don't let this deter you!

The area is the best for skiing in Italy! It has challenging runs such as the Sas Long for those willing to try and beat the 1 minute 54 second world record, and nice gentle blue runs all over.

There are some well known courses and routes to follow too such as the Sella Ronda literally meaning 'around Sella'.

About the accommodation... basic, good food, lovely chalet hosts (for the 2005-06 season), amazing retro carpets, as much wine as you can handle thrown in for free with every meal and a brilliant location!

When booking your rooms try to get the ones on the ground floor because when I checked just before leaving, it seems that they have been refurbished and look very nice!

Don't get me wrong, the place is nice and comfortable and clean anyway, but I was a little 'gutted' when I saw those rooms in comparison to my own.

You can ski virtually to your door which is brilliant, using a little slope from the nursery slopes which leads to the town, its the turn off after the orange sign that you need.

Excellent snow making facilities ensured that a lot but not all, slopes were open to the public, but it was the beginning of the season and there wasn't much snow falling.

If you are looking for good skiing then buy the Dolomiti Superski lift pass and gain access to way more than you can ski in a week!

Overall, it was a holiday to remember, even if I did take a nasty knock to the head, which resulted in me blacking out and being shouted at by a lady in German, after I staggered into a 'monument'... it was a big stone! Nothing more!
