With the Chamole 4-seater chairlift on one side and the Baby Pila ski lift on the other the Etoile de Neige is ideally located for all grades of skier. Non-skiers will enjoy a seat in the sun on the large sun terrace. Some bedrooms are eaves rooms with low beams. There are exceptional views from the hotel which is comfortable, well run and only 5 minutes' walk from the nearest shops. " 2 fantastic skiing holidays "

We have stayed at this hotel both in 2007 and 2008. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and most have balconies. The bathrooms again are large with ample hot water and white fluffy towels. The food is great with a wide variety, well cooked and mainly Italian. I have always found the staff very helpful and polite. My only slightly negative point is that the bar is very open, not very cosy and it would benefit from being more Alpine. As the brochure says you can ski right back to the hotel, 10 paces across the corner of the car park and you can kick off your boots and place your ski's in the large locker area overnight. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and intend returning in Feb 2009.

Advice: Fantastic blue and red runs, great ski school and majestic views of the Matterhorn and Monte Bianco.

Activities: As the brochures say "ski in the sky" and try the barbequed trout at lunch time.
