We have just returned from Sevi and although it was very basic the room was fine. The owners where very helpful, nothing was a problem for them.
We had the use of Zeus hotel for safety deposit boxes and also that was our pool to use, the owner Maria is fantastic fun and her sons and her daughter are great fun too, they join in with the guests at night and also had a laugh in the pool with them as well.
The restaurants all around are fab, T42, Hubbs, and the Ozzy bar, all the staff speak English and are very friendly, at the moment they are having a heat wave in Kos and the temp is in the 50's but it was a great holiday my son who is 9 is desperate to go back next year, great place for a relaxing holiday no nightlife to spoil the atmosphere definitely a place for families to relax not for youngsters.

After spending a week there I was glad to leave to small and cramped rooms, yet very tidy and clean. The one problem I noticed with these was that there didn't seem to be any cleaning products for you to use, not cutlery to eat with or sponges to wash the dishes.
That said, the location was brilliant bang smack in the middle of all the bars and clubs, right next door to an English breakfast bar - essential fry up after a night out. And right next to the bus stop if you were travelling somewhere else.
Also noticed water was leaking in through somewhere and the floor was soaked, don’t know why cus it never rained once when we were there.
Anyway well recommended for people who won't be spending a lot of time in their apartment.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Sevi apartments in Kefalos. The apartments are basic but very clean. We had our sheets and towels changed every other day which in the hot weather was a bonus.
The weather was extremely hot but the best part about being in Kefalos is that there is a breeze most of the time which you do not get anywhere else on the island.
Kefalos is probably the best place to stay on Kos if you want a quiet holiday. It took a little while to get into the Greek way of life but we soon adapted!!
We found a great place to go for breakfast - "T42" just on the main road - serves good old fashioned English food at reasonable prices. Pauline there is very useful with tips on just about anything you can think of.
The Hotel Zeus is next door to the apartments and the family that run it are really friendly, as are the bar staff. We had the use of the swimming pool and bar facilities - they do great cocktails.
It is only a short walk to all the local tavernas (of which there are many). We tried to go somewhere different every night to eat, the Australian Bar, Scorpios, Rainbow and Hippocrates are just about the best we tried but they are all very good. Some even offer a free drink when you ask for the bill - much appreciated.
There is not a lot to do in the evening other than go for meals so if you want a lively nightlife Kos Town would be better. Having said that we will definitely be going back to Kefalos. Most of the people we talked to have been going there for years.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Sevi, lovely apartments, very high standards of cleanliness and very helpful owner. In my opinion quite spacious too. Supermarket, beach, tavernas and car hire nearby, but still peaceful.
