Just back from a two week holiday from this place and in my opinion this is the worst complex i have ever stayed in.The staff are ignorant its as if they dont want to be there. No entertainment what so ever in the whole complex. We were told there was a kids club and it was a joke the kids were taken for an hour a day to draw pictures which they got bored of after 5 minutes. No night entertainment in the bar and it closes at 12am on the dot and you are chased away from the bar if you dont go they call the police.Very ignorant man on night shift in reception that actually gives out to you for staying out late because he has the whole place locked up and he has to get out of his chair to let you in.Your in the middle of nowehere so the only place you can go for a good nite out is playa d ingles and you cudn't bring kids there its full of drugs and prostitutes that try to rob you.So in my opinion if you want any sort of holiday that you and your kids can enjoy steer clear of these apartments.

Booked a week at this hotel within 3 weeks of travelling and paid £1460 for a family of 4 (£1000 of that was for flights) so we weren't expecting too much! Flight was good but Thomas Cook give minimal legroom which I found frustrating. We got a taxi straight from the airport to the hotel for 50 euros which took about 15 - 20 minutes. Upon arrival check in was quick and we arrived in our room to find food and bottled water in the fridge with bread and fruit. Only downside was the second beds weren't made up and at 3am with 2 children aged 4 and 7 that wasn't ideal - the 4 of us ended up sharing a double bed for the night!!
The rooms were very clean and had cooking facilities and a fridge. Upstairs was the bathroom and double bed with balcony and plenty of storage. Downstairs you had the open plan kitchen with eating are (only seating for 2 though) and sofa which converted into 2 beds. The tv had some english channels and was 1 euro for an hour. What we particularly liked was the fact that you had an outside seating area with 2 chairs and a table (and a useful clothes dryer). As the only exits were both facing the bar upstairs and downstairs it meant we could put the kids to bed confident that they would be safe (thinking of Madeline McCann)and sit on the patio and enjoy the atmosphere (and the bar!)
Look at the picture on this site and what you see is what you get. We were right beside the pool and bar (about 10 paces to each) so very handy for trips to the loo during the day.
Food was ok, a good selection of meat and veg and salads, chips every day. there was some recycling of food (brussel sprouts in a pasta salad I would not have believed until I saw them) but this is normal practice with most AI for this price. Ice cream was available with lunch and dinner and there were soft drinks and wine and beer on tap to help yourself to during the meals. Alfred the entertainer was great for the kids at night, but during the day we tended to walk to the beach (a pleasant 25-30 mins) or to the shopping centre (again about 20 minutes) so we didn't see much of the entertainment.
All hotel staff spoke good English but the majority of guests were Dutch or German so if you are looking for English only keep away from this hotel!
I imagine the food getting a little repetitive if you were there for 2 weeks.
If you want to travel around you can travel on foot but it took a little while for us to get our bearing so our tip would be to head straight out of the hotel, across the road (and roundabout) and walk between the princess and the dunas hotels. You will then come to a viaduct - turn right and follow directly for the beach or turn left to go to the shops and market (on a saturday). The beach can get a little windy but was very sandy and plenty of shops and sun loungers. There is a nudist section but this is very clearly marked.
The hotel was in a quiet part of maspolomas and you did need to travel to get to shops etc (apart from a small supermarket in Dunas hotel) but we are not sit round the pool all day people so it was not an issue for us. (about 25 - 30mins gentle stroll would get you most things.) We also hired a jeep from the hotel which was tired but did the job and travelled further afield, finding an upto date shopping mall and the obligatory mcdonalds!!
Aqualand comes recommended but book before you go for much cheaper deals!!
All in all a very relaxing holiday and well recommended if you are looking for a quiet trip. Be warned no air conditioning so may be a little unbearable in the hotter summer months!

upon arriving to the hotel i was very excited, i opened the appartment door and i was pleased with what i saw, i was with my partner and my 2 sisters, they had the 2 beds upstairs and we had the 2 kind of beds downstairs. the weather was great, the food was ok but not brilliant. there were lots of different foods to eat but i wasnt enticed.
we stayed there for the 1st night and enjoyed the entertainment. (men when the fashion show is on get out quick the mrs wanted everything that they displayed and wasnt cheap) i was a little dissapointed about the location on the resort you couldnt really walk anywere, you had to get a bus and everything you had to do was time consuming if you wanted the free bus back. taxis werent expensive but as we were a family of 8 we had to get 3 taxis if we neened one. off the resort the place was beautiful. it was overun by germans but hey most talked english. (the scottish dont like being beat at anything) as i soon found out, there was an entertainer called alfred and he must have spoke 300 different languages. he talked to everyone. every winner of his games got a certificate.
the free alcohol was great, you know what there like on hols. the bar shut at 12 every night (well they should have done they closed at half eleven wich i complained about)
but all in all the holiday was ok. more for the couple who want to sunbathe and read a book. not for the young family who want a fun full packed holiday.

This was a good value for money apartment resort. For my liking to geared up for the Germans but hey ho you just get on with it.
Pool was very clean and all communal areas were kept spotless.
Location. very good....10 minute walk to the faro2 shopping centre. and on sunday in the car park outside shopping centre. a boot Sale.
Reception area very small..but who spends much time there..
Food was ok. we paid a very cheap price for easter week so was not impressed with food but not having to go out to eat.
Entertainment was very good during the day. ALFREDO was brill.... On the last night He insisted on singing a Duet with me.... I GOT YOU BABE....Germans seemed to try and momopolise the mic but we mad sure that we brits got there to.
Overall a GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY HOLIDAY. Ciao for now.

After booking this holiday i to decided to look it up on Holiday Watchdog and was quite worried by the comments i read and was wondering what i let myself in for!!!!!
But..... when i arrived i was plesantly suprised the staff was very helpfull and friendly the resort its self was clean and tidy with beautiful palm trees around the pool. The appartment wasnt quite what i was expecting but it was ok and was cleaned 3 times in the week i stayed there.
Now the food..... well if your fussy forget it,For me the food wasnt the best BUT there was always somthing there you could eat for example (dinner)there was always a veggie dish then there would be fish, meat, pasta and chips salad and soup.so its really what you make of it.
Entertainment- i dont no about the day i went to the beach for most there was something every night but nothing to get excited about more for the children really..... but they tried!
I Honestly think with this holiday you need to be open minded it wont please eveyone if you used to your luxury's this wont be for you, But myself i only payed £270inc so i feel for the money it wasnt bad value...(Really shop around for this place because i met a couple here that paid nearly £800 for the week and i wouldnt be happy to pay that to come here)
There is a bus that goes to the beach daily but i would recommend hiring a car i used a company called record for a week this cost me £93 pounds and was well worth it as there is not much near to the appartments .
All in All if u wanted to just get away for a cheap relaxing holiday this would be the place to come...!

Maspalomas Oasis Club!!!
I would highly recommend this resort and accomodation.
The resort was lovely with a decent size pool, surrounding palm trees and sun loungers.
FOOD!!! - Being a fussy eater I was surprised to find the food wasnt bad at all and there was always fresh salads and fruit available. There was a good selection of food like fish, pasta, chips, potatos, even steak! After reading reviews before going I can honestly say YOU JUST CANT PLEASE SOME PEOPLE!!!! :)
Couldnt find a fault with the cleaners either. The complex was kept clean and tidy and had fresh towlels everyday.
BAR - had a good selection of drinks. Also very generous with your shots! Also wines and beers so again cant complain.
Mapalomas has a mixture of natalionalities german, english spanish all very friendly.
This holiday was great value for money and I would definitley go back!

My friend and I and our SIX children ranging from 5 to 13 had the most relaxing holiday since becoming mothers. Food fab with great variety, differnt fish every evening, and two different meat dishes, usual stuff for kids, chips and pasta. Fruit and salads available lunch and dinner. Entertainment for children great with 'Alfred' who arrived from 11am to 3 pm, than back at 8pm. Thoroughly enjoyed it, ready to book again for next year.

I stayed here for 6 nights in july 07 with 7 friends. Its a bit far from the beach to walk, especially with the summer heat. The food in the resort restaraunt was average (we ate here only once), the tea tasted like toilet water. The pool; DIRTY, full of spanish people who were very ignorant and werent even staying there. One night we were having drinks at the rear of one of our appartments facing Maspolamos, the caretaker stood about 20ft away from us just staring at the girls in our group. VERY CREEPY GUY. All the staff seemed to despise their jobs and the guests. the cleaning lady walked into the appartment every morning saying OLA!!! This disturbed one of the group who was sleeping in the sitting room. No privacy here. The guy at the front desk didnt speak english and was very rude to us. Overall not a welcoming atmosphere. Overpriced bar closed at 12am, which dosnt impress us Irish one bit. I would think that this complex is aimed at families more than young peope. I was also unimpressed with the Budgettravel representative who didnt show up to meet us on our first day there, subsequently we ended up planning our first day there on our own and ended up paying out €20 each to two "Reps" for a booze cruise that never happened.Would never stay in playa del ingles or maspolamos again. I would consider Mogen, a resort/fishing village round the coast from Playa. The streets here are reminiscent of a little Venice.

I travelled to maspolomas oasis club on 28/06/08.I was accompanied by my wife and two kids.We arrived with great anticipation but was left severley dissapointed. The food was terrible.Pork and fish everyday.Chips that were hard and unedible.Ice cream for kids only when restaurant was open.Bar staff wandering offwith people left waiting for a drink. The snack consisted of a piece of cake.Entertainment null and void.It consisted of a quiz which was carried out outside from a book which you could not see.A fashion show which was two girls parading in sarongs.Which were later for sale.A snake show which lasted for a half hour. All this was outside with no space.Toilets inside the restaurant which was locked at 10pm.All lights turned out by 11.15 11.30.I would have been better going self catering.I could not eat the food.Due to this i ate outside most of the time.Sometimes not eating at all.Iwould never go back to the Oasis club for the £2000 spent on the holiday it cetainly was not worth it.Due to this i would rate this complex 1-10. NEVER AGAIN.
