Wow absolutely fab. We have been here twice now, what a superb holiday Villa Kouros is. Owed by Harris and Debs it is situated at the bottom of a fairly steep hill, car recommended unless you are moderately fit and enjoy the walk.
That would be the only negative thing I could say (which isn’t that bad) if I had to rack my brains. There are 9 apartments a mixture of oldish ones that have been refurbished and some nice new ones that they have added on, the setting is idyllic with unrestricted stunning views over the sea. There is a beautiful full size pool which is never crowded and is kept spotlessly clean by Harris’s family who come every night to clean, tidy and hose down the grounds.
At the top of the hill is the family restaurant where Harris, Debs and various family members cook and serve delicious Greek meals and snacks, there is also a bar by the pool which is staffed by Harris’s young nephew Timos, but sometimes its left open and you can help yourself and leave the money behind the bar (that’s typical of this lovely family) Stephanie the lady who cleans the apartments each day is very helpful even though she only has a smattering of English.
Nearby Argassi is great for nightlife with very good bars and restaurants. We have a 6 year old boy and there was plenty to occupy him. If you want a near perfect holiday without playing sardines round the pool (even in August) this is the place. Unfortunately we are going somewhere else on our next holiday but will definitely be booking for next year. It did cross my mind (slyly) to give it an average review so we could keep this place a secret.
But that wouldn’t be fair to Harris, Debs and their family who work so hard to make sure everyone has a brilliant time.

We've spent a week in Villa Kouros and we were very happy with our choice. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the commercial/ touristy places, and explore the local authentic spirit, and the beauty of the nature, yet being close to some of the nicest beaches on the island and all necessary amenities.
The location is very nice, on a cliff overlooking the sea and the shore (you can watch a beautiful sunrise from the terrace). The villa has a nice pool with sunbeds which is never crowded (a couple of times we had the pool just for us).
We found the place to be a very good value for money. We were 4 people and rented a 2-room apartment, and we paid probably half than what we'd have paid in a hotel of similar standards.
All rooms have a seaside view, and since ours was on the ground floor with some trees and plants in front, we never had to use the air conditioning, and had at all times a pleasant temperature in the room.
There are a couple of beaches within walking distance, but I would recommend renting a car and exploring more beaches on the island, or at least in Vassilikos area. Vassilikos (the part of the island where this villa is located) is less commercial, more authentic, and the beaches here are more beautiful, than for instance Laganas that looks pretty kitch overall. SOme of the beaches in Vassilikos are part of the natural marine park, and are protected areas, bc the sea turtles lay their eggs there in the summer.
I highly recommend the Agdani restaurant near the villa, owned by the same family. Great quality, nice traditional Greek dishes, and good value for money. The owners of the villa and the restaurant (Harris and his family) are very warm and nice, and make you feel very welcome!
