Fantastic hotel, We have been to turkey ten year running, many other resorts as well, but icmeler feels like home to us. We have made lots of turkish friends over the years. The hotel is run brilliantly, the staff are fun and very helpful. The food is brilliant, and plenty of it. The rooms are very spacious and very clean, you have maid service everyday. You are right on the beach, Dont book your trips through the rep, you get better offers on the sea front, and they are very safe, trust i would not take my children on anything that was not safe. The turkish people are lovely very helpful. To get a good haircut and colour go the grand aqurium hotel and speak to nigel, you get a lovely cut and colour and very cheap. if you want jewelery then go to Bora at the top of the my high street, the owner is called Hasan, and trust i have bought many diamonds from this man, and he has never ripped me off, i have had very good bargains, all my diamonds are rings and braclets and necklaces and i have had them valued at home and they have always been twice if not three the value if paid for them, good investment.
The hotel you must speak to Nico, he is brilliant fun, and the shop at the bottom of the road near the beach is very helpful and good fun. a trip to the Wonder boys is a must they really make your holiday. we are going back again the first week of october and i can not wait. This hotel should be a 5 star not a 4. and there are plenty of sun beds by the pool and the sea front, no need to ge up early. there was 8 of us in our party and we had no problems. Well enjoy your holiday. we always do in icmeler.

Started off pretty tired and weary, hungry and thirsty after a late flight. No food available and a meagre six drink selection(alcohol),beer, wine, vodka, gin, brandy and raki !!! which finished at 12 midnight. On our second day things got better(alcohol exepted!)food was good and plentiful, especially for a fish lover like me.the hotel, for what we paid, was excellant.Very friendly staff, very, very clean rooms, oddly though, the air con comes on seemingly at the hotels discretion!
The e'toile is a perfect simple base for a great holiday and we would go back--although not for the entertainment, the team work hard enough, but with what they have,it was at times more entertaining for the embarressment factor!!!
when all said and done,we want cheap hols and you gets what you pay for!

as a party of five this is from us all, first time in turkey and no way the last.just love it, everything about it.this hotel was everything anyone could have wanted.the food went on all day and lots of it,the snacks were like a meal.the food was differant every day for the hole two week, with exeption of chips they were served every meal,so if you were a fussy eater you could live off the soup bread chips and salad sweets were to die for and always lots of fresh fruit.you must remember your in turkey and yes the food will be differant but you should try it we did and we all found it exeptionally good even the 15 year old boys.the hole hotel was exeptionally clean, the rooms were cleaned every day,and everything worked t.v fridge and air con.the staff work very hard they are very friendly and helpful. i could not think of one thing we didnt like, icmeler is beautiful as is the beach and very close to the hotel.you will not be disapointed it was the best ever and we are difinetly going back.

me and my boyfriend have just got back from turkey.
before we went we noticed the bad comments about this hotel and they are all a little exaggerated.
The hotel was very clean and all the staff very friendly considering they work 12hours a day 7 days a week. tthe reception were always having a laugh with us and was very helpful as our air conditioning broke and within 5 mins someone was there fixing it.
The rep Laura was excellent always smilling and stopping for a chat she even got me a birthday card for my birthday.
The food was ok plenty of choice but not exactly english but we wernt the only ones there. they cater for turkish, german etc. not much for children if fussy eaters (no nuggets pizza etc).
Entertainment was bad but team was helpful and tried their best.
Have to get up early for sunbeds by pool but like this everywhere and we got a free section by beach so cant complain.
Overall the resort was wonderfull 2 mins walk from everywhere. went to cupids next door everyday all staff were amazing and funny. would recommend this hotel to anyone and turkey caters for everyone.

first and last time in Turkey.Bus drivers on the transfers are continually on their mobiles. the hotel was amazing, spotlessley clean with the most pleasant staff you could ask for. They could not do enough. the food was great with lots of choice. The Hotel in the brochure boasts a beach bar and being all inclusive i expected it to be free however it was not and you got a 25% discount if you used it. it also stated an a la carte restaurant which i could not find. the entertainment was not minimal but non existant with suicidal droning music being played all through the day at the poolside. it was a bit like being in life on mars eing in the early eighties. the entertainment team were an absolute amateurish joke. there were not enough seats at the poolside in the evening if you wanted to stay in (having paid extra to get the "free drinks" with the worst vodka in the world.) Annoyingly there was only one bar open. there was another bar room which would have accomodated all the guests but it was not open because there was no air conditioning (according to our rep.)there was also a disco downstairs which was never open in our stay whic was the peak two weeks. stepping outside was running a gauntlet of rude ignorant Turks who were abusive if you did not accept their offer of dining in their bars or buying the wares in their shops. the place shuts down at midnight due to the religious local govt. this religeon however does not stop the local men pawing the young teenage girls who vist the resort which is sickenning. been there done it never again. the hotel was great but the resort is totally intrusive.

I stayed at l'etoile beach hotel with my boyfriend and his family. we all enjoyed are stay there we were made very welcome the food was excellent loads of sun beds free beach and pool side. staff were brilliant very friendly and welcoming. the hotel is close to all the shops and clubs. best club in Icmeler is Eastenders would recommend a visit its very safe. best jewelers is on high street called Bora would not rip you off his name is Hassan. would not recommend going to Marmaris to go clubbing. if you've got chance go to wonder boys as it is a fantastic night out and makes you feel very welcome. book trips not with hotel rep but outside on the seafront. turkish ice cream is to die for you can get an english breakfast next door in cupids for £2. Rooms in hotel are very spacious cleaned every day. would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cant wait to go back next year.

Me and my partner went to this hotel and although it wasnt excellent it was not half as bad as some people made it out to be. If it was a self catering hotel it would be 9/10 as the food wasnt all that good but only because it was repetative and didnt seem to cater for the enlish (not even a simple omlett was available) and it would be 10/10 if there was any entertainment at the hotel, there wasnt even music by the pool during the day and the aqua gym was just sitting in the pool! You would only realy want to spend time at the hotel at night for the all inclusive features (alcohol). P.S (the ice cream isnt free)
It is in a prime locaton though and the surroundings do make up for the food and entertainment. When having a turkish bath make sure you only opt for the free things as you arnt told things cost untill you have done.
Please do not be put off by comments as everyone is different, it was still the best holiday i have had yet (and ive been on a few)

Just arrived back from 11 days at the L'etoile, a first hoilday in Turkey. So did not really know what to expect, and reading past reviews wondered if we had made a huge mistake.
How wrong the reviews were, the Hotel standards were excellent. The pool area was cleaned regularly, and the maid came in daily to change towels and beds. The staff were really pleasant and welcoming, even on arrival luggage taken to rooms for you,
There was a really good choice of food of high standards. I know the entertainment. was not really brilliant, but the entertainment staff always went to guests and made you feel welcome, but we tended to go out a little later in the evening, to sample the nightlife on offer, which although at first there was too much hasseling to get you to their bars, but after a few days when they got to know faces, they tend to say hello and let you on your way. Linekers bar was a goodnights entertainment with their happy dancing waiters and music. Will definitley go back to Icmeler and the L'etoile hotel.
Laura the Thomas Cook rep was brilliant the best rep we've had in 17 years of going on family holidays. Always helpful and never passed without a quick chat. Also would recommend to go to the Talk of the Town night out in Marmaris with their "Jocks in frocks" drag night

My 16 yr old daughter and myself stayed at the L'etoile for 10 days. This was our first visit to Turkey as we normally go to Greece or Spain and I can honestly say that this was the best hotel and resort that we have ever stayed in.
From the moment we walked into reception we were made to feel very welcome by a very friendly and efficient reception staff. Our room was very spacious with a fantastic view of the sea and marina. The hotel is absolutely spotless in all areas with rooms cleaned daily. Food and drink were very good, theres no need to eat out if you don't want to as there is plenty of choice every day for all tastes. The pool is quite large with plenty of sunbeds (all sunbeds have thick cushions and are very comfortable) you can even get nice clean beach towels daily free of charge. All of the staff in the hotel spoke very good english and nothing was too much trouble. Most of the guests at the hotel had stayed there in the past and return year after year.
The only thing that I think could be improved at the hotel is the evening entertainment, as there wasn't much of it, but that was not a problem as Icmeler is a beautiful resort that comes alive of a night with plenty of bars to visit. Everywhere we went the service was amazing and everyone was friendly and welcoming and lots of fun.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we will be returning to the L'etoile next summer, I would certainly recommend a holiday here to anybody.

We arrived after a long journey from the air port and were welcomed with friendly, bubbly staff even though it was 2 in the morning. The friendly staff member offered to take our suitcases to our rooms which was nice since we were worn out. When we got in our room it was lovely. Cosy and fresh with the air conditioning already on for us, the sheets were light and cleaned daily, I loved the patterns the maids sometimes did up on the beds leaving beautiful red flowers and fresh covers and cloths. The bathroom was of a nice size, made from marble and a shower that worked well. After arriving in our rooms, i couldn't see what the large black shapes were in the distance but as morning broke i looked out and there were magnificent mountains and a great view of the sea, beach, islands and Icemeler. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help you out and make you comfortable and happy.
The food was delicious, hot and cold dishes were served along with every type of salad and buffet type food imaginable. The dining area was spacious and could overlook the big garden and sea. There was BBQ's and snacks served throughout the day and a variety of drinks aswell.
The atmosphere around the hotel was genuinely quiet, there was a computer room with a t.v, a large swimming pool with music played at the side and a guy who came in a sang songs whilst playing the piano.
I loved my stay at the Hotel and I hope to go back soon!

After reading reviews of the hotel on here not many of which were good i thought i would give this hotel a try it looked nice enough!!!! WRONG Looks can certainly be deceptive. I have travelled to Turkey approx 30 times over 10 years, this i have got to say must be one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in!!!! DONT GO THERE!!!!
The room was shabby, there was damp, gapping holes around the built in wardrobe, the door arcitrave fell off the wall, the air con was on at set times because the hotel said it was too expensive to run!!!! The food was dreadful, mushrooms with onions for breakfast, chips at every meal, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN, THEY WILL STARVE, OR PERHAPS LOOK LIKE A CHIP WHEN THEY COME HOME!
Watered down drink, not enough seating around the ONE AND ONLY BAR, In the brochure it states two bars THERE IS ONLY ONE!!!!! We had to eat out every day and spent £700 GBP on food and drink the holiday cost us 1300GBP what a complete rip off!!!!! The staff are so rude, i have never met such rude turkish people, the entertainment consisted of one CD for music in the day, darts and water polo, the room cleaning was utter rubbish, our bed was changed once in 14 days, the floor was mopped once in 14 days,
Please folks dont go here. !!!!!!! I think a rating of 1 for this hotel is to high
