Planet Studios and Apartments

When we decided to go to Greece, we asked at our Tomson travelling agency for a quiet place next to a sandy beach. We ended up at Planet Resort (apartment/selfcatering) in Tsilivi/Zante. This was the loudest (disco every night till 2.30am) and dirtiest place we have ever stayed in and we certainly have seen a few holiday apartments on the continent. The bed sheets had holes in them, the floor was not cleaned properly, if at all, the drains smelled horrible, ants about, there was hardly anything in the kitchen. So we had to pay for A/C to be able to sleep at night. The pool was overcrowded, there was sunscreen floating on the surface.
Beside that very disappointing experience the island is breathtaking, the sea was very clear and warm, the food to die for and the greek people very friendly and helpful. We soon found another pool to go to and sunbathe at Tom and John with the friendly Janis and Eva.

Just returned from 11 night stay at the Planet Studios & appts. What a fantastic place for the family,our 2 girls (15 & 12) cried when we had to say goodbye wish we had booked for 2 weeks. Cannot wait for a return visit in 2012.
No need to rush down to put towels on the sun beds(although people still did) as it didn't matter what time of day you got to the pool there was always plenty of sun beds.
Music from the bar wasn't a problem as previous reviews have pointed out, once the doors are closed you cannot hear a thing.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming,they would do anything for you.
Our 1 bed appt. was large and clean, fresh towels & sheets every other day.
Wish we were still in Zante at The Planet. xx

Just got back from an 11 night stay at Planet and it was fantastic. We are a family with 2 children aged 11 & 9 and they had just as much fun as us, the pool is big enough for everyone but can get abit deep without warning. The staff are all fantastic and can't do enough for you the bar is open til 3am and is very lively but if your a holiday maker that goes to bed early then once the balcony doors are shut you won't hear a thing. The bar doors get shut at midnight so not sure why other reviews moan about the music, my idea of a holiday isn't to be in bed before midnight so if you are one of those people then this maybe isn't the place for you!! We met loads of people that had stayed on the island before but at different resorts and said Planet is by far the best they have people return year after year. The only down fall about Greece is there is a fee payable for Air Con that we wasn't aware of until we arrived so make sure you budget yourself a maximum of 75 Euros (2 week stay). The bar serves food between 8am - 2am and is fairly cheap but supermarkets are abit pricey, we found one at the back of the apartments heading towards the beach that was cheap enough but that was 5 days into our holiday. The local resturants are fantastic and heres a few I would return to Calypso, Romios, Athena and Family (but their service was a little poor). I would return to Planet and would recommend to anyone who wanted a lively holiday.

We are a family of 4 with two teenage girls that went to Planet and got back on the 8th of August 2011 and we absolutley loved it! It was our first time to Greece and it didn't fail to impress! 
The staff at Planet were friendly, polite and made you feel like part of the family. They would do anything for you and nothing was too much hassle!
My daughter lost her iphone whilst she was at Planet and although it was not their fault, the staff did everything they could to help us. They contacted the police (in order to get a statement for insurance purposes) and organised a taxi to take us into Zante town (this was a challenge in itself as there was a taxi strike on so it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack!).
The rooms were very large, spacious, clean and comfortable. The maids visited everyday and gave us fresh towels every other day and changed the beds twice during our week stay. When we read reviews on Planet, we were concerned about the reports of noise. There is no need to worry! Although the bar was open til 4/5am (we only know this as the staff told us) when the shutters and doors are shut, you can barely hear a thing! 
We had air conditioning and the safe and for the week it cost €55 for them both.
Tsilivi itself is beautiful. So peaceful yet never boring! The beach is fab - the water is very warm and you can go  out for miles and still be in shallow water! 
We were worried about the cost in Greece due to it's financial issues, however, a 2 course meal (inc. a round if drinks) for 4 cost around €40! I would recommend 'Benikos' situated down a the side road next to the corner supermarket (opposite Popeyes), Nemesis Taverna and Athena - all serve gorgeous food!
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are now changing our holiday to Egypt next year so we can go back! We will of course be revisiting Planet!

we have just got back from a fantastic holiday at Planet apartments, we loved every minute, our 2 children aged 13 and 16 also loved it, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the bar was great and had a good vibe at night, we had no problem with any noise from music as when u shut your doors you can't hear any music. The pool area is great for chilling in the day, the beach is only a short walk away. There are sooo many great restaurants around to choose from, the rooms are spacious and clean, we will be going back.

We have been going to the planet complex for over 25 years as a couple and as a family and now as a couple again ,we have always found the rooms clean and pleasant ,the pool area very clean and kiddie and adult friendly ,good food at all times ,the atmosphere in the bar is second to none but the thing that always makes our stay so amazing is the "family" included in the family are the staff because they are part of the family so thanks to Babis and Elena , Pedros and Sharron , Nick and Shelly , our favourite mum Katerina and everyone else will see you soon .Thasadore matah fila mou P.S don't forget the footie

We have just returned from another fabulous holiday at the planet, Sharon, Nick, shelley and all the staff continue to make everyone feel so welcome. We took our 16yr old daughter and 16 yr old niece who loved it and are planning to take their friends very soon.. My 18 yr old son had his first hol abroad with his friends this year and they stayed at the planet, they also had a fab time loved the night life, and the banter with the staff..... they are also planning next years hol back at the planet. We would highly recommend the planet to familys with small children or teenagers, its the perfect place for a fab holiday, cant wait for next year!

The Planet bar and apartments are great, the pool is lovely and so nice to chill out round, lots of room. The rooms are modern and had everything we needed.
The food tastes great!and we still ahd change for an ice cream!
At night the bar is great, great music, and the Cocktails are perfect!!!! i cant beleive anyone would have a bad word to say about this brilliant place!
We cant wait to return and we have already re booked!!!

As a Party of 6 It was a joy to stay at Planet Studio and Apartments,
Our balcony overlooked a rose garden which was well looked after.
Bar staff were friendly and where very helpful.
Brilliant Atmosphere,
For Two weeks we stayed here and they made an effort to celebrate our wedding,hen and stag do's and my husbands 30th.(champagne and cocktails given by the staff)
Our rooms and bins were cleaned daily and our linen changed twice a week.
The pool area, bar and toilets were clean,
Proper portions and tasty food for a good price.
cocktails were gorgeous... so many to choose from and the best price i found in tsilvi.
the music was good and you could party until early hours in the morning, however if you wanted to have an early night that wasnt a problem, The music didnt stop you sleeping as you couldn't really hear it.
We have just booked again to go this year in september
We highly recommend Planet and have done to family and friends.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Planet Apartments for 11 nights at the end of June and we loved it. We wanted to go somewhere which was lively but also romantic and quiet when we needed it.
The rooms were clean and well equipped and the bed linen and towels were changed regularly. The bathroom was nice and spacious although the shower seemed to soak the whole room. You can pay for air conditioning and a safe if you need them, we did both and they were worth it.
The pool area was clean and safe and there were plenty of loungers for everyone during the day.
The bar was great, all the staff made such an effort and were so welcoming, with 86 different cocktails on the menu it is worth going even if you don't stay here. The bar is open until late at night though you can't hear much one your doors and shutters are closed. We were never kept awake and my boyfriend is a light sleeper.
The bar was okay for snacks but I would recommend Benikos, the Olive Tree or the mexican in the town for evening meals.
