It's a shame that the ratings on this site do not go low as zero as I genuinely feel that even 1/10 is too generous!! My friends and I arrived at 1am and waited over 45 mins for anyone to come to Reception and check us in. Eventually, we were given a dirty map directing us to our room, offered no help with heavy luggage bearing in mind we were three tired girls. We found our "bungalow" locked up behind a shutter making it look like a prison, and once in we found a room huge cockroaches climbing up the walls, the most disgusting smell and hardly any space. We were charged when booking this accomodation an extra 30 pound to upgrade to a larger bungalow with an extra bed, and yet there was only one double bed ... between THREE!!! There was a sofa downstairs that may have folded out into a bed but seeing as there were cockroaches crawling around it and it was clearly filthy, we dared not even try to fold it out for fear of what would crawl out. We went back to reception to ask for a bigger room and we were told that every single room was the same size!! SO, what we paid extra money for I do not know!!! We complained about the cockroaches and we were laughed at, being told that it is just typical for there to be cockroaches in the Canarys. This I feel is a complete cop-out as cockroaches are down to cleanliness in my opinion, nothing else!!!! We attempted to eat the inedible breakfast that morning following a very long horrible night (we could not even shower as there were NO towels and the curtain shower was stained and smelt of urine). The buffet food was dreadful; mushy and cold. Plates were dirty. Staff were rude and all other residents were German; Entertainment programme only catered for Germans too. So with noone willing or able to help us we called our company to enquire to about changing hotels but we were told that the booking agent we had used (Freedom) had gone bust!!! We were stranded at this awful hotel so checked ourselves out and walked three minutes over the road and asked another hotel to take us in. They did - on credit card there and then - and it was lovely. Not one cockraoch in sight the whole week, despite only a couple minutes walk away. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!! IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BOOKED IT - CANCEL NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN HERE, IT IS TOO FILTHY AND UNSAFE!!

Massive complex, 3 good sized pools, bars, supermarket, washing facilities and beautiful surroundings. We got there, reception staff and entertainment staff are fluent in English so no communication problems, they orignally put us in room facing road which we wernt happy about-we asked them to swap us to pool side and they did and things were great from there! Pool A is best- entertainment all day such as water polo, water aerobics, rifle and pistol shooting, shuffleboard. Didnt think I would join in but had an amazing time when I did so dont be shy! My partner loved it-he was walking to the bar and serving himself drinks all day-usual things such as beer, sangria, pop, few spirits and funky cocktails! Staff are always cleaning, maids dont come every day but do you spring clean your own home and change bedding every day?? Food is fantastic IF your not picky (which I'm not) Full english, selection of bread, cereal, fruit in the morning. Salads, fish, meat, basic pasta and sauce, chips, potatos and veg for lunch and same again for evening-usually something different and new to try. The puddings wern't great but its bad to each pudding everyday anyway so it actually did me a favour. The snack bar wasnt that good to be fair, the burger and sausages were a bit 'non-meaty' but your really being a fatty if you need to snack as well as brek, lunch and dinner anyway and for the price you pay to go it really cant be complained about. Me and partner loved room, two storey, bathroom and seperate toilet downstairs, kitchenette, single beds pushed together EXCELLENT shower! Pool is lovely, if not a bit cold!
Entertainment at night is like bingo, kareoke, fashion show, parrot show, singers-not my kind of thing but they put loads on for kids. Overal I would highly recommend this hotel if your someone that wants a relaxing holiday on a small budget. Used £160 this included camel ride, trip to puerto rico and boat trip and two meals out-the rest was on taxis and ice creams! You will need taxis to go out -approx 3-4 euros to holiday world, faro, playa del inglis and beach.
Beach was a bit out from our hotel and was a bit rocky but sand was lovely and lots of bars to get snacks etc. Food and drink prices were ridiculous, really glad we went all inclusive. Most pop drinks 2 euro at least as well as ice creams and alcoholic drinks around 3-4 euros if not more in some places. Some lovely places to eat at night facing the sun set but we couldnt afford them so went to the all you can eat chinese instead for 6.88 euros per person! It was a bit dodgy but enjoyable! Would say if your a bit younger you might as well spend a night at holiday world-some wicked rides and bowling etc and a night at Playa del ingles which was crazy! we were hassled by everyone but i just thought it was funny and kept flashing my all inclusive band. Be careful not to get ripped off by happy hour, tell them that you only want 2 drinks instead of 4 for 2 people! Puerto Rico 20 min bus ride for 4 euros return-BARGAIN! Go there for the day for the hustle and bustle. Market in Maspalomas was a bit naff. Camel ride was good-a lot of others things to do like water park and zoos but we didnt have the money. Would go again but take a few more trips to the other resorts for the hustle and bustle. Was nice to come back to Maspalomas though for the piece and quiet.

Me(17) and my boyfriend(19) thought this holiday was fantastic, we went in january booked it on a friday went on the monday. We read the reviews from this website and to be honest we were dreading going on this holiday specailly because i hate crockroaches, which alot reviews said they were everywhere! We arrived and thought WOW, everything was clean the staff were helpfull. The entertainment wasn't our cup of tea but the oldies and young kids seemed to enjoy it. The apartments were very spacious, the pools were cleaned every morning even the sunloungers were hosed down. The food was what you would expect on a holiday abroad, a variety of different foods, so you'll have to daring to try new things! We met a variety of different people who all said they had enjoyed themselves. The main center is lovely and the beach is amazing! Please dont listen to any reviews they are talking a load of rubbish!! Best holiday we've had in a very long time!
p.s Dont go to aqua land, waste of money! also the taxis are cheap which you WILL have to use!

We have just come from spending 2 weeks at the green oasis 7 of us travelled ranging from ages 4-78. We stayed over the xmas period and could not fault the place, the food was great IF you want to try different foods which we like to and do want typically british food as our 3 kids did chips and burgers that is served around the pool area all day. We had 3 rooms and they were all cleaned on a regular basis and were very spacious as it was like a small house. All the gardens and pool areas were always clean. Entertainment was great food the kids with a xmas party and presents which they lived and the evening entertainment was typical of a resort abroad. I have read alot of negative reviews on this hotel and feel that it is being slated for no good reason.

Whatever you do dont go there, food was outrageus and was like slop they get better food in the prisons,my kids cheered when i fetched back macdonolds, rooms was disgusting had cookroches, mice and cats, towels not changed in the whole week we was there, the bedding was old and unclean people give better to charity, the pool was not very clean rubbish and dirt in it every morning, sunbeds were all broke and grubby, your two free drinks were like dishwater, the staff were as much use as a bikini in a blizzard, our view from the front of the building was like the local tip, shopping trolleys, rubbish, ect, they didn't seem to cater for english people they only seem to caer for the germans, entertainment was pathetic couldn't understand a word of it.
If you have any intentions of going DONT!
If you have already book CANCEL NOW!

The food was disgusting and made both my wife and me ill (sorry to be blunt but we both got bad diarrhoea). My wife found a cockroach on the plates by the self service buffet. When we complained, we were asked how many there were. On answering one, we were told that one cockroach does not breach health and safety rules and besides we were in the Tropics and so should expect it! But in my book it's down to cleanliness and not where you are (besides which the Canaries are not in the Tropics!). One cockroach is one too many and is also a sign of others! We then found another cockroach in our bungalow and others on the pavement outside. We found alternative accomodation and left without a refund. My advice is don't stay here, however cheap you get it.

We went to Green Oasis has a group of 12. We arrived just before Lunch, I had been in the hotel about 1/2hr when we decided to eat. We went to the restaurant the food was awful. You get your meal then go to a podium for knives and forks etc. I went for cutlery and slipped on a wet floor hurting my arm and back, not one member of staff came to see if i was ok they just busily cleaned up. This i passed off has bad luck. Next evening we were in the bar and a couple of children slipped and hurt themselves on checking the floor was wet me and another mother went to the bar to tell the waiter all he did was shrugged his shoulders, so i went to tell the childrens entertainer all i got was he was about to start the childrens train song. At that me and the other mother went and got loads of toilet roll and cleaned it up ourselves. I reported the incident to reception who said he couldn't do anything. Gave me a complaint form.!!!!!!
The food was terrible for first three days and the when more english arrived the food improved. Entertainment at night was excellent. Entertainment team were very good in the day. Pity rest of staff didn't oompliment the hotel. We had Seven nights at the hotel and got fresh towels twice in all that time. I have stayed in 2 star accomodation before and never experienced this.

I have just returned with my family of 9 people (Mum 77 Dad 77 Dad in Law 84 Sister 47 Brother in Law 50 Niece 17 Daughter 23 Hubby 57 and myself 54. Don't read the bad reviews go and see it for yourself. Had a fantastic week all inclusive. Was very pleasantly surprised. Staff excellent especially entertainments crew who worked very hard providing activities all day. Food very good always plenty of choice. Snack Bar by Pool A was good too. Self service coffee, beer, soft drinks and Sangria (which we only found on the last day at the snack bar!!)were an excellent idea. No waiting around to be served. You have to ask for spirits at the snack bar and the bar by pool B (opens at 5pm) and the bar in the entertainments room in the evening. You had to queue for drinks and were limited to 2 drinks each but that was an excellent idea because you never had to wait very long behind anyone ordering loads of drinks and anyway you're on holiday so what's the rush!??
Bungalows lovely and yes a bit tired looking but then what do you want for 2/3 star accomodation and you only sleep in it anyway. Weather is too good to stay in doors!! Beach is only a 20 minute walk away or only a free bus ride away which is a very good service. Fantastic beach and sand dunes. One of the best beaches we've been on. We have stayed in various 2/3 star hotels and this is the best for that grading.
Would definitely recommend it and would go back again.

I had my reservations after I read some reviews, but I am glad I never cancelled this holiday, it was fantastic, the staff very freindly and all spoke good english, food was good and the entertainment was exceptionally good, yes the rooms are basic but you only sleep there what more do you want.
All three pools were good too.
I would go back again
