Skiathos main town has a busy and cosmopolitan feel, and has many places to eat out, ranging from simple fish tavernas to restaurants offering Chinese and French cuisine. For those looking for a wide choice of nightlife, Skiathos town has a good number of bars, and clubs with foreign and Greek music.
We had fantastic weather for the end of the summer season, reaching 36 degrees in October. Although nightclubs were closing down for the season there were still many Watersports, boat excursions and other activities available. We managed to hire our own speedboat, for only 60 euros, around £35, and well worth it, for a full day too. We visited some of the smaller surrounding islands, very beautiful too. Like the other islands Skiathos is extremely verdant and green, but it also has an abundance of fine, sandy beaches, which stretch all along the south facing coast, reputed to be 60 in total, all offering fabulously clean seas and golden sand.
The Koukounaries beach is rated in the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world.

He led us quickly to our room and told us to meet him at the pool bar for a free welcome drink as soon as we had unpacked.
The room was a bit on the small side but very clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony.
The pool is great and cleaned reguarly and the pool bar has a great varity of cold beers and wines etc and the site is kept clean with colorful flowers everywhere.
We found our stay here very peaceful and friendly, the pool bar stays open untill very late and you can always grab a hot snack.
If you want spectacular beaches, fantastic views, friendly and helpfull locals and great places to eat then look no further, if you want noisy and liveley then this is not for you.
