HOTEL: Although the actual hotel looks great, and it only 2 minutes walk from the beacj, and nightlife, We found the hotel incredibly annoying in that only 1 drink could be obtained at once, Even if you wanted to go to the bar for 1 drink for yourself, and 1 for your partner - this is not allowed! I appreciate the need for limiting all inclusive drinks, but 1 each is ridiculas. Always kept clean and security is great
POOL:The indoor pool and steam room etc are very nice, and well decorated. the outdoor pool looks really nice, it was a bit too cold when i was there though
RESTURANT: also seems very nice and there was always a massive choice of food, except non of it is labled and so anyone with special dietry requirments may struggle. And again only 1 drink can be asked for!
ROOM: couldn't ask for anything else real;ly, all inclusive all you need is a shower and sleep. the room reflects this. nice balconies & excellent cleaning services
STAFF: Excellent, very friendly!! no complaints what-so-ever
ACTIVITIES: I am not sure if it was because i went in very ealry may, but the advertised 'day & night entertainment & activities' was non-existant. A 'disco' took place every other night, and 1ce a week is a flamenco show, thats it!
AREA: the area was amazing, something for everyone. Walking round the cliff tops, of the Llorett de Mar castle, and houses. or clubbing in Revolution or Collosus for the youngsters, LOADS of pubs and clubs, resturants, cafes, supermarkets, shops, souveniers. Bus stations also very close so can go anywhere

Thank goodness for the amazing weather! Otherwise I might have come home the same day.
When we arrived at the hotel the pool area was full to the max with at least 50 German students, between 16 and 19 yrs old. Throwing a ball round, smoking and eating in the pools (children's too)
Then came the funny part...trying to get a drink! It was 1 drink per person. I am 6 and a half months pregnant, I went for a rest before the 'storm'.... NO CHANCE! My husband wasn't allowed to get my drink, so it was easier not to have one. Families with small children had to take the child up to prove the drink was for them! Yet the students, who have obviously just gone to drink and vandalise the furniture, didn't mind getting one drink and getting straight back in the queue that stretched for at least 30 people (more at night)
Hotel was clean, staff were morbid and unhelpful. The food wasn't too bad, it would be better if you knew what you were eating. There are no signs up to tell you if it's a meat dish or vegetable?!?
Great for students! Terrible for everyone else.... Unless they BAN THE STUDENTS

We stayed for a week, and although the weather was 'hit and miss' we had a great time. The hotel is built into a steep hill - so if you have walking difficulties, I would not recomend it, but otherwise it was great. The rooms where very clean, and the maids very friendly too.
TOP TIP! - Coaches Can not get to the hotel because of the small side roads - get the coach to drop you off at the Salvador hotel, and order a cab from there - it costs 3 euros! and means you dont have to carry all your luggage up the hill to the hotel!
Reception was good - there was one woman who was a bit sour looking, but there where a couple of really freindly guys, and the bar staff where always joking arround. there where not a lot of British in the hotel, but there where not a lot of any one nationallity either, it was very mixed.
The food was first class there was loads of it and a changing menue all the time, and Friday night is a MUST - they have a themed Catalan Night, with loads of extras !
We where on all inclusive, and the only thing I ould say is that when the All-inclusive finished at 11pm, the bar closed an hour later... I would have prfered it to stay open even though you where then paying for your drinks.
Overall though - would deffo go again

we have just returned from a wonderful week at the sunrise hotel and had a brilliant time. the rooms were spotless and spacious we had 3 adults in our room and 2 adults in a double slightly smaller room. the food choice was great and always plenty of it it was lacking in evening entertainment but maybe it will be better in summer but we were not bothered as we went out . we would go to this hotel again and recommend it .there were lots of english there and the staff were good with their communication in english

From the minute we got dropped off half a mile away, to the minute we checked out, all we had was problems. Coach driver dropped us off and we had to find our own way up and down side streets in the pouring rain. When we got to reception, there was no trace of our booking, it took about an hour to sort out. We were all inclusive and couldnt get served at the bar because we weren't paying customers.
We were told to sit at a certain table in the restaurant and if there was people already on our table we had to wait. Out of 3 days, only one night the food was edible. The morning we checked out our taxi was due at 8.15am and breakfast didnt start til 8 so we went in to make sandwiches to take with us. the restaurant manager and staff told us it was not allowed and threatened to phone the police, so we told them we had paid for a breakfast and if we don't have time to eat, we would take it with us, whereas the other all inclusive hotels would allow us to or make a packed breakfast for us.
There was no entertainment for adults and spanish music only was played.
My advice is not to go to this hotel, use a H-Top hotel (Royal Beach or Royal Star), the service and entertainment is a lot better.

We were told that our transfer coach would drop us outside the hotel and we were dumped over 500 yards from it after. What should have been a half hour journey turned out to be 1 and a half hours, at 9.30 p.m and given directions in Spanish from the driver to locate the hotel, it took us half an hour to find it as you can’t see the name of the hotel until daylight.
The hotel itself is okay but it is built on a hill with more steps than I care to remember. On arriving at reception we explained to the receptionist how difficult it was to find and she just shrugged her shoulders at us.
We had missed dinner due to Fleetway claiming the transfer time to be just half an hour so we were "tagged up like cattle" being all inclusive and went to our room hungry.
The room was very basic considering it had been given a 3 star superior, it had a only one bedside chest of drawers, air con did not work, shower head holder was broke, not enough towels {needed to find cleaners to ask for more}and had what I can only describe as a small garden bench in the room to sit on.
The food was to say the least disgusting, with one meat pork for dinner and tea for all three days of our stay, even using dinners noodles that were leftover to make tea's soup with.
Cakes and desserts were re-used day after day, and most of the food was barely warm, by the time you sat down it was pretty much cold.
Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, when I went to the bar I was greeted with "wadda you want" by the Spanish barman.
THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST HOTEL I have ever stayed in, avoid at all costs, we were even segregated from non all inclusive guests when dining, being told where to sit and being all inclusive were told we had to pay for a bottle of water.
Awful hotel, awful staff, and awful experience, just glad we only booked for three nights!

The hotel was not very good due to the fact that it's more or less the same food every other night. They do not cater very well for English people; it should be a good selection of food not all foreign.
The staff are very ignorant towards people; they do know how to keep you waiting.
The access to the hotel is not made very clear that the back entrance is a steep hill on which we was dropped off at the bottom of, and got told we had to walk to the top with suitcases as well.
All in all it kind of spoilt the holiday as we was eating out in the end when we paid for all inclusive.

I went for a week to the Sunrise Hotel in Lloret de Mar. I had a very nice room overlooking the pool.
The food was nice, however they do not like woman to take bags into the restaurant!
The room was basic, could have done with extra storage for my things. The walls are quite thin, I could hear my neighbour snoring on some occasions but overall very nice.
There was not any trouble. The only thing I think the hotel needs is regular entertainment - they only had 2 nights entertainment for the 7 nights I was there, and they need more signage to find the hotel. Beach 5 mins walk away.

We went in the last week of September 2007.
Having booked and then read reviews, we were quite apprehensive about the hotel, but once we arrived (and walked up the very steep hill!) it was great.
Built on a hill, it’s expected that it will have quite a few steps etc but they kept us fit all week!
We found the food ok, there was a variety of choice and was always something for us to eat. One or two of the barmen were slightly arrogant but the others were great and couldn't fault them - always remembered our drinks.
The hotel is located near the beach and just a short walk down to all the shops and easily accessible to nightlife.
Although we stayed in the cheap rooms, when we return in April we are going to pay the extra for the superior rooms. Even the basic rooms were ok, what more do you want on holiday? It was just somewhere to sleep!
Would return here without hesitation - well in fact we are!

Just had 10 days in sunrise hotel 25 August - 4 September 2 adults one 13 yr old & one 11 yr old. We went all inclusive.
The rooms are clean basic and quite comfy. There were 4 of us in one room and the space was not too bad although we do not spend a lot of time in it.
The pool area is quite nice not much room for the sun beds though. Pool area opens at 9.00 and if you are there on time you will get a sun bed (none of this towels on all night).
The entertainment is rubbish a couple of nights a week live shows then a Spanish DJ doing karaoke the rest. Not much for kids either during the day.
The bar service is quite poor too they will serve paying customers rather than all inclusive guests as there is a separate area for each.
Last to the food what can one say: disgusting. If you want to loose weight then you will be fine!
All in all though I enjoyed it and so did the kids.

Do not go to this hotel if you are English, it does not cater for our nationality. If you are German, French, Spanish, Belgian, or Italian then this hotel is for you. Myself and my partner and our two children stayed there for a week (12, 7). There was no entertainment on in the day or night. The bar opens at 11.am, the food bar around the pool opens at 12.30pm the same time as the restaurant for lunch and closes at 2.30pm. You can not get any food until 7.30pm when the restaurant opens for evening meal. The bar shuts dead on 11.00pm for all inclusive, it didn't matter if you had been in the queue for 20 minutes, they would not serve you unless you were prepared to pay. After this we would go to the bar and get two drinks and stock up so you could carry on drinking for another hour or so, on one occasion the barman came and told me we could not do that, after a long discussion with reception he was proved wrong as we were doing nothing wrong.
There were only 8 adult English and 8 English children, so as you can imagine we stayed together and ate and sunbathed together. One Belgian family said that everyone was scared of us, why I do not know, we were quiet and soaked the sun up, the men sat and watched the children play, we did not swear or fight or get drunk, just slated for being English.
This hotel should be advertised as not suitable for English families, the staff are rude except the Manager of the hotel who did try with everything. The food is ok but the same everyday, about 10 people did fall ill while I was there but the reception staff kept putting it down to the heat and not the food, if your food was cold you was pointed to a microwave and told to warm it up in there. The room are nice if you have booked a superior room, do not book a standard room, no air conditioning, trust me in summer you need that.
All in all I would not go back to this hotel if it was free, the best thing about my week was the other English that we met.
Thank you to Rachel and Stuart and Boys from Leicester, Gary and Teresa from Sunderland, Alan and Marie and kids from Leicester, without you guys this would have been the holiday from hell.

I stayed at The Sunrise with some friends in April, and apart from one other family we where the only English in the hotel. But then again we where in Spain - not in England!
The rooms where spotless and the staff could not have been more friendly, and the food was excellent. The buffet changed every day, and was a real treat, everyone who I spoke to commented on the quality of the food.
The hotel is on a hill, and the trick to getting into the hotel avoiding the steps, is to get the taxi or coach to drop you off at the 'Parking' which is on level 4 of the hotel, and you just get the lift down to reception!
Lovely hotel, full of character and would recommend to anyone.
