where to start with this review...staff horrible, apartments dirty as hell, not clean in general. would never stay here again even if i was given all the money in the world..ants every where, beds not made and sheets given to us to make beds where dirty too.all sun beds broken. very noisey could here everything through walls...just a horrible holiday in general and would not recommend it to any person on earth..

after reading the reviews of the apartments i was worried about staying at the las mariposas no need at all we satyed there 16th to 23rd may 2009 and it was brilliant ok the rooms are basic but you have a tv a shower plenty of pots n pans a kettle and a balcony to sit at !!!!!!! there isnt entertainment but frank the bar man tries his utmost to entertain you you have to pay a deposit for the room but thats due to mindless idiots who trash plces abroad and it falls to decent folk to have to pay too
i dunno if we got a good week but we had just families and a few young girls who didnt make any noise what so ever !!!!!!
if its night clubs loud parties and drinking all day you want this isnt the place for you!!!!!!!!!but if its a cheap n cheerful place to just stay with your family or your man then id reccommend it im a honest nurse from england who went for a weeks break with my daughter and parner and trust me it was absolutley fine !!!!!
we will definatley stay here again !!!!!!!!

where shall i start ok on getting to my room i found the balcony door had no lock the room was very dusty i think they just get a quick sweep i had to move the furniture myself to sweep the floor properly and in doing so found dried animal feases behind the sofa. Ican only put this down to the cats that roam freely about including in the eating area yes thats right the eating area. So dont be shocked if you find a cat hair or two with your meal.
The bathroom was standard bath with shower toliet bidet toilet brush holder with no brush?? the toilet it self was in much need af a good clean.
bedding was changed twice in two weeks but not the pillow cases?? towels were changed every two to three days.
i found in all the cleaning standards were very very poor especially the kids play area an the hall way i swept it myself after about four days as i couldnt stand looking at the mess.
id advise people not to sit on the sofas in reception area as i myself witnessed a cat going to the loo there.
An there is nothing in the way of entertainment apart from frank the bar man.
so if your looking for a place just to sleep an you dont mind a bit of dust holes in your sheets bedding that hardly gets changed an armys of ants running round your feet as you eat in the bar area this is the place for you.
But if your after a relaxing time lounging buy the pool give this place a miss.

Bit worried going due to reviews i read. Got dropped off and you need to go straight up steep hill turnleft at top and you are there.we were on fourth floor went into apartment clean .Had clean towels on third day tuesday and again on the friday, we arrived on the sunday. only thing i was dissapointed with, that bedding didnt get changed once in the week. if they changed bedding what more can you ask for, for £22 aweek what a bargain. Walls in appartment are thin can hear everything nexted door so no heavy breathing,pool very clean but it takes your breathe away when you jump in freezing. ALL STAFF nice , food at Hungry Horse Belly Buster Breakfast lovely,. very filling.Hungry Horse open from 9 in morning til 3 in morning. Also Robin Hood pub just down the road its open til 3 in the morning, Beech just down road from Robin Hood nice . Fennal beech in walking distance to and very nice .NO ANTS in apartment went prepared with ant powder but nothing like reviews said only out side, but whats new about that.Would go back . Big thanks to nichola + roy who gave us a wake up call to catch plane home .One thing you have to do on arrival to mariposas apartment, you have to leave 50 euros deposit for your room, but you get it back on departure has long has room is left tidy and undamaged.
