The main areas of the Hotel are No-Smoking although it is allowed in your room. This Hotel is clean and tidy and the rooms functional rather than luxurious.
Maid service every day and clean linen/towels every two days. There is a TV in each room (only 2 English speaking channels - CNN & Eurosport) and the remote control can be hired from reception for a small refundable deposit.
Some rooms are double glazed but unfortunately ours wasn't. Very old fashioned rattling doors to the balcony. This wouldn't normally be a problem but there is a large building site directly opposite the Hotel which was very noisy working 8am-8pm six days a week.
The location of the Astoria Park couldn't be faulted, being in the heart of Lloret. Close to the sea, shops, bus station.
All in all, I wouldn't put any one off booking this accommodation providing they can guarantee that the building work has been completed or they can guarantee a double glazed room.

the astoria park does not cater for english people. the food is extremely basic and in some cases downright disgusting.the hotel does not have evening entertainment and simply caters for spanish and german people who at nighttime are very noisy.rooms are basic but clean and be warned the building site directly outside the hotel is very very noisy from dawn till dusk which nobody tells you about.the noise on the street outside your room at 3 oclock in the morning every morning is created by young spanish german and english people on their way home from the nightclubs goes on while about 5 oclock in the morning.the reason why i have wrote this report is that on any account when you book your holiday nobody tells you anything about whats going on around you.
