Unfortunately this hotel does not seem to cater for the British, and we ended up naming it 'Spanish Fawlty Towers'.
Upon checking in we were just given a room number, key and told to use the lift by the porter who spoke little English. The room itself was clean, spacious, and nicely furnished.
We were given a specific table number and sitting time to use in the dining room, but the first time we went to eat we were surrounded by a group of Spanish guests who after much pointing and ranting to us and the waitress, we ended up leaving.
It turned out we had been given the wrong sitting time but as the waiting staff spoke no English either nobody could explain this to us, until I went to the reception desk.
We then went to the evening entertainment which was bingo that evening. We went to buy tickets only to be told by the entertainment guy that we 'had no chance' of him translating to English, only Spanish and German.
The door to the outside pool was quite often locked and the pool bar hardly ever manned. If you wanted either you had to trail back through the hotel to reception and ask. After encountering a few more problems I had a word at the reception only to be fobbed off with excuses of new staff and communication errors.
The food was ok. Toast, cereal, fried eggs and ham(usually undercooked) for breakfast.
Evening meal was one type veg, one type potatoes and choice of fish(full of bones) or meat(if you could figure out what it was) and a few others bits but not labelled.
We made the best of it but speaking to the few other British guests we all had the same opinion.
