Marathon Hotel

Well this hotel was not great, but I have no huge moans. The pool was plenty big enough for the size of the hotel, and has children’s pool. The rooms were basic, but fine (shower wasn’t all that). You get what you pay for - it’s a cheap hotel, so it’s not too bad. The A/c worked fine, a very minimal extra cost. The food wasn’t great, we ate out a couple of times, just for variety, but wasn’t really expecting it to be great (it rarely is at cheap All Inclusive). The bar man was excellent, worked every hour god gave, and even kept the bar open late for us. We met a really good crowd of Brits, and spent most evenings with them. The beaches are only a couple of minutes walk, and there is one sandy and one pebble with water sports available. When we were there they were gradually doing up the rooms (at no disturbance to visitors), so I’m sure once they are all done, this hotel will be fine. After all a holiday is what you make it!

The biggest marathon is having the bottle to stay there for your allotted time.
The food is disgusting, no variation and little of it. My partner drinks whiskey, none available all week. Only one bottle of any spirit used in a day I drink Vodka , unfortunately so did a lot of other ladies and when the bottle was gone, it was not replaced until next day. No cocktails at all.
No snacks apart from little squares of pizza at 1600hrs only one plate full though so if you were not quick you missed out. No entertainment at all, Staff very rude, Ate out lots and drank across the road . Lovely bar down by sea nice restaurant too.
Give this one a wide berth.
