Took our 13 and 17 year old for 2 weeks. Great for very young children but definitely not for older ones. Same entertainment day in day out word for word, totally brainwashing. After 2 weeks we were ready to come home to gain our sanity. Thomson team desparately need to... more

61 years young.Would i go back.Yes indeed.I am very picky but this ticked all the boxes.I enjoyed the 'homemade' evening entertainment.It was a couple of years ago.We had two young girls and it felt safe.Some young lads were a bit active.But i would go back .But we try to go to a different place each year.Good holiday.

Excellent Hotel from A TripAdvisor Member
The problem with the restaurant is that the food was so good we ate too much. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was clean. The entertainment was exceptionally good and all in English. With regards to the two beaches it was like being in Heaven. Because Portinax is a small place the beaches were not overcrowded. We will definately go to this hotel again.
First holiday with a young family from MarkCP
This was our first holiday with two children, 4 and 2, we booked a family room (2 double beds)which met our needs although the living space in the room could have been larger. We also upgraded to a seaview room on our second day as the views at the back of the hotel (and some on lower floors poolside) were a bit grim. Otherwise the hotel was extremely clean and tidy if style of decor is showing it's age a little. Hotel services had everything we could have asked for and the resort itself struck a happy medium. My childen loved the evening entertainment and the pool although unchecked use of lilos/blow up boats etc made things a little hectic at times. Would recommend a trip on the glass bottom boat, kids loved seeing fish, caves and even a shipwreck! All in all entirely satisfactory, a good family hotel with excellent food and dining room in a stunning bay resort.

This was our first family holiday with our son who is 2 and a half, and we were recomended to take a Thompson Super family holiday and we are glad we did. We had a fatastic time there was lots to do for everyone, the entertainment started around 11 am around the pool until about 3 pm and then again in the evening at 8. All the reps and entertainers were fantastic and they all work really hard to keep you entertained. The creche staff were lovely too and my son loved going in there for the 2 hours a day, plus it got him out of the sun for a bit. The rooms were nice and we had a sea view which i recomend. The food was really nice too, and all the hotel staff were really nice and helpful too.

Great Place, what can i say! Hotel is excellent my only fault is the temperature of the pool. All the Thomson staff were great, Danni, Kate, Magic Martin, Spike, Silly Simon and the crew. There were also a few laughs when the three waiters David, Juan and Jose occasionally dropped a few trays of glasses! Entertainment on site is great and never has a dull time. Shops and the beach are about 200m away but a steep hill makes walking back to the hotel a bit harder especially carrying lots of things from the shops! A big thanks to the lads of Del Boys bar over the beach and near the shops great pub and it's English!! As you come out of the beach after leaving the hotel if you turn left there is a very good shop and a lovely little place including crazy golf for the kids just up the hill. I strongly reccomend you book two things from your Thomson reps they are: . Aguamar - Waterpark in Playa den Bossa (Great Day Out) . Islandhopper - A day break to neighbouring island Formentera We went on both and enjoyed them. I even ended up knowing some of the lyrics for the childrens songs like The Finger Song Startrekkin The Court Of King Karaktakus I strongly reccomend stealing a few sweets from the main reception they are gorgeous! We won a Super family T-shirt which just completes the holiday! Just out of interest we flew with Spanair and i don't rate the on-board flight meal it wasn't good. Although cabin crew were very good. There are very long corridors in the Presidente and running them is a must! Enjoy your time if you are going you will really enjoy yourself guaranteed, also renting a car is a must do as staying in Portinatx for a week or more can get boring. Although the occasional 'Hippy Market' comes right outside the Presidente doors so it's worth a look. Hope this was of use, Regards Luke.

This hotel was excellent. I wanst lookin forward to going to Portinatx again but i found that the hotel entertainment was just as enjoyable as going out in San Antonio. It doesnt matter that its a quiet resort, young people have as much fun as the elders do. The food was lovely and our room location overlooked the cove. The only problem, which cant be changed is the location. 'cardiac hill' (as the reps called it) to get down to the beach was a nightmare. Staff were friendly and they made me thoughally enjoy my holiday. Perhaps some safety tips- dont let kids jump off the bridge over the swimming pool. I think that the reps were just amazing they kept me entertained day and night.

Satyed in the Presidente 16th October we were slightly worried as nearing the end of the season and had heard mixed results about Ibiza in October, however, the hotel was great, Thomson staff were brilliant, entertainment in the hotel was probably the best entertainmet we have ever experienced, especially Lionel Ritchie tribute, food was great even had a vegetarian section and special area for the kids food. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpfull, rooms were cleaned every day. We felt there was not much to do in the town only a handfull of bars and shops, so hired a car, found it very easy to drive over there as roads were usually quiet. Completely fell in love with Ibiza and with Hotel Presidente, really didnt want to come home and cant wait to return. Note, to get from the hotel to the town you have to walk up and down a very steep hill, would not be suitable for people with walking difficulties

I thought that the food was top notch. I never usually get up for breakfast but this one, i was desperate to go and eat the fine cuisine. I thought that the thompsons reps were excellent especially Magic Martin. I thought the activities during the day were the best with Eduardo just being he crazy self but he was Simply The Best!!!!!!!!! And if you wanted a change from the hotel you could walk down to some of the pubs in the square. personally I would compliment Del Boys Bar if you want to go and some fun with the Karaoke then that is your pub!

The hotel was superb, the food was absolutly fantastic, it was clean and very well organised every member of staff from the cleaners right up to the management were very pleasant nothing was a problem and they all smiled, the Thompson staff were also very very good, what a lovely holiday we had.

The holiday was brilliant the hotel staff were great and the thomson staff were great. The rep show was really good and Mega day was good. You couldnt fault the Thomson entertainers Magic Martin, Tidal Wave Dave and Krazy Kate. Throughout the day there was daytime activities it started with the splashdown at 11.00 and ended at 3.00 with the watersport. On a night time there was the mini disco where the thomson entertainers done the party dances. then after that there was a pre show and then a caberet. If you didnt want to stay in the hotel there was something to do out side the hotel in the resort of portinax. During the day you could go down to the beach and in the sea. At night you could go across the beach to all of the bars and restaurants. Overall the holiday was excellent i especcially loved the Thomson reps. Ashleigh

i stayed here with husband and daugther age 7 the hotel could do with updating airconditioning was very noisy staff were very helpful the children were entertained constently which is a bonus Icould not fought the entertainers they were brilliant defentley go back
