The picture of the accommodation on the Crystal website is not the accommodation that we stayed in, we made the choice
to stay in this flat based on misinformation, the photograph on the website was not the 'Clarrise'. On further inspection, the same photograph was being used for all the named 'chalets', why are they called 'chalets' when they are actually flats?
Rooms are very small, very basic double. Single room, size of small garden shed. Bed almost on floor. The room that was
designated for children had no window. I do not understand that Crystal would suggest children sleeping in an unventilated
area twelve feet away from a gas cooker. Doors have no locks. No working lightbulb above bed for half the week. Very poor hygene in kitchen/fridge, blood from raw meat had dripped to base of fridge. This was cleaned when a note was
left asking for the fridge to be cleaned and the rubbish sitting in the kitchen area to be taken away because of the smell.
Obviously staff need to be trained to be extremely careful in the preparation of food.
Amazingly porridge presented a problem, supply limited! Cutlery was in short supply too in that we were asked to use the
cutlery for starters and main course. Napkins had to be asked for. Toilet on the ground floor was flooded for three days. Sauna showers didn't work until maintenance man came half way through week.
Warning. The name of these chalets may have been changed
