The best thing about Rose II is Jean the Chalet host, her cooking is fantastic, everything is fresh and delicious. We were constantly surprised by the high quality of the menus and the food. We had sole occupancy of 4 adults and 6 children and the children were fed earlier than the adults so we could get them to bed before we ate. The bedrooms are spread over 3 floors which are spacious and beds very comfortable. The only negative we would have is the sofas had seen better days. The position of the chalet is great for childcare as Whizz kids & Pepi penguin is next door, also the chairlift is about 50 metres away.

In cotrast to the previous review my wife and I and our 3 year old daughter stayed in this chalet in January 2010 and had an enjoyable time.
It is fine in all regards, great food and reasonable accommodation and close to the piste with a chairlift viewable out the window, albeit down a short steep slope.
Chalet is clean and tidy and mostly spacious, there is no fireplace though which is missed.
Only drawbacks were thin walls and a washing machine in the basement used by staff that runs a lot.
I can recommend this chaelt as good value for money, although not luxurious.

What ever you do, do not stay here. La Plagne is excellent for skiing, Rose II is terrible for accomodation.
Only stay here is you like mouldy food, rooms without complete walls, your children to be in danger of broken glass on the floor and easy access to cleaning fluids/first floor windows.
Want your clothes to come back dirty even if you've not worn them, live out of a suitcase for a week as there is no storage and sleep in a room on a par with a low quality youth hostel? then spend your hard earned money on coming here for your one and only holiday of the year. You too can go home feeling like you've had a week in a budget prison.
