Chalet Hotel St. Louis

We have just returned from a family holiday at the St. Louis. We had a great time. The hotel has a fab location for the skiing - basically a green piste which leads to the main lift centre is across the road and along a short path. So close even our 4 year old coped in ski boots without complaining. The ski room is just off the enterance to the hotel, is easy to access and has boot warmers. The accommodation is of good quality for a French ski resort. We booked a family room for 3 and were pleasantly surprised to find that the room had ample space for us. The public areas of the hotel are very comfortable and suitable for either mingling with others or finding a quite corner. Generally the food was very good with ample choice and a seperate childrens menu. The staff were also willing to give alternative options for children if there was nothing on the menu they liked. The little touches eg champagne and canapies, port with the cheese course and chocolates with coffee made the holiday feel very luxurious not to mention the choice of 6 house wines with dinner. The staff in the hotel could not have been more helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. We found the hotel very family friendly - we did not however use the child care facilities so cannot comment on these. We will defininately go back in the near future and would recommend this hotel to friends.
