We were pleasantly surprised at how pretty the villa and its surroundings were. On the evening of our arrival, the villa owner greeted us. He was very pleasant man who made us feel very welcome. My only gripe would be that we wanted privacy and seclusion but this was spoilt slightly by the frequency of the villa owner’s visit’s.
It was a brand new villa, and we were the first to stay there. The pool was quite large but very cold. We did recommend that it be heated.
Polis itself has two sides to it. The first is quiet, laid back but with plenty to do. On the last day we discovered the other side, which we found very unpleasant. It was very busy, noisy and reminded me of Blackpool!
We had plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, and sight-seeing opportunities close-by and within easy reach.
I would strongly recommend that a car is hired so that you can take yourself off on a long drive to discover other areas. It’s best to do this early morning, or evening as fewer excursions are out then, and also it’s a bit cooler.
Overall, we loved it and didn’t want to come home. A few moderate improvements to the villa would make it even better.

Polis is a lovely place with many fantastic restaurants, supermarkets and gift shops.
I cannot recommend this villa highly enough!
