We came back from the Castellsol apartments, Arenal D’En Castell, yesterday. We would never go back for a second visit! Before booking the holiday I could only find one write up about the apartments, which said that there was building work next door, and a huge crane was hanging over the swimming pool so I was quite worried about noise from the building site.
I needn't have worried about that as not much building work went on and we didn’t really have any noise from that area at all, just the noise from the main road right outside the apartments with constant traffic (coaches/buses/motorcycles etc) passing all day.
Also, there was a local bar called the Irish Pub, which tended to have loud (and I mean loud!!) music playing from about 9pm until (some nights) 4am/5am. This is not a resort if you are looking for a little bit of peace and quiet.
The apartments were clean and spacious, but we didn’t have an oven, only microwave and hob, and the kitchen was a bit sparse.
The First Choice information did not mention the road at all otherwise we could have been prepared for it!
All in all, if the Castellsol Apartments were in a different, quiet resort, I would use them again.
