Vigla Village Guest Houses

We arrived by ferry from Zante to spend six days here. We were attracted by the website the sound of lapping waves does it! After problems getting from ferry to accomodation. You need to arrange taxi or pick up, it is remote!
We arrived at our 2 bedroom "house" in the woods. The location is spectacular. We were shown the path down to the private beach. Heaven! We had the gazebo just outside our French doors this had a lovely view over to Zante and back along the coast to Spartia beach. The pool area was so relaxing and the only sounds were birds and bees. We had tennis courts and table tennis to keep us active.
We were the first guests of the season and had the whole place to ourselves (2 couples). We couldn't have bought it like that! It was magical.
You can walk to 2 restaurants easily and a 20 minute walk to 2 shops and another 2 restaurants. We ended up hiring a car (rental office within walking distance) We found it easy to drive around and visit the beautiful beaches around the island.
Everyone is very friendly and Anna the owner of Vigla is very helpful. She helped by making numerous phone calls for us and even ran us to the shop on our first day to ensure we had everything we needed.
