First Class Hotel!
Just spent a week at this hotel and I have to say that it is excellent. The food was good - full English breakfast available every day with proper sausages, not the Frankfurter style! Evening meals were good for buffet style and the fish dishes especially so. Vegetables were disappointing by their scarcity. I would have reckoned to have eaten out at least once during our stay, but didn't, so that says something for the variety etc...
This hotel is a hidden jewel immaculately maintained by an army of cleaners/staff who were friendly and helpful.
I'm not so sure what it would be like in high season, because it's located above a shopping centre and opposite the Bus Station. I would think that it can be very noisy. We stayed here in March, so it was quiet.
The hotel is popular with the Spanish for what seemed like long weekend breaks. When they all left, we had the complex almost to ourselves mid week!
I'm just trying to book it for my friends but it's fully subscribed for June this year - and I'm not surprised at that!
Recommended.

If you don’t live in a town do not book this hotel. We had a room overlooking a noisy side street with two bars below, although the place was clean and tidy.
The swimming pool is on the roof if you can find it! As the hotel is on the top of a shopping centre.
The food was absolutely awful as stated by the previous reviewer.

The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Fuengirola's train and bus stations as well as shops and restaurants. You can catch the train from the Airport to Fuengirola for 1.75 euro. It takes about half and hour.
The hotel does not look much from the outside but on the inside I would describe it as an oasis with its Andalusia style, water fall and masses of well kept plants. Our room was twin bedded was very spacious indeed but we did notice that some rooms had double bed but these were a bit smaller. Our room and the hotel in general were kept spotlessly clean by what appeared to be an army of cleaners. I am not sure if this applies to all rooms but our hot water was heated by a small immersion heater situated in our wardrobe. Our showers had to be quick if we were both to have hot water. The unit immersion was also slow to replenish the hot water used. I guess that this won't be too much of a problem in the spring and summer as the water filling the immersion tank will be warmer and so will heat up quicker. The weather in early March was temperamental. We had rain for one day and also one night but it was hot enough to sunbathe by the pool on a couple of days.
We stayed on a half board basis. The breakfast was pretty limited and not to great. For example, they served the fattiest bacon I had ever seen, you got tinned hotdogs instead of sausages and there was usually only one choice of egg each day - boiled on one day and fried the next. Dinner was better though. We had steak, fish, veal and chicken. On the downside the veg, which obviously came out of a tin, was overcooked, tasteless and did not look very appetising. We did actually eat out one night and although it was good we thought it to be quite expensive for Spain.
Overall the hotel we found the hotel good and excellent value for money. We would certainly return.

This hotel is based above the Dunnes shop which is part of a shopping complex containing other shops, cafes and bars. You need to take the lift to the second floor to access the hotel. Reception is surprisingly pleasant - tiled corridors and pot plants, and the staff are very helpful - we were put in one room near to the reception and asked to change to another the following day due to the noise of guests returning during the small hours of the morning and we were moved without quible to a quieter room. You access the rooms over open tiled corridors and the hotel is quite spread out over the second floor - looking down to lanes below with cafes and bars and stalls in them.
The restaurant is spacious enough and provides a reasonable cooked breakfast, cereals, breads/toast, cheese & ham, fruit and yoghurt and tea, coffee and fruit juice. We only stayed on a B&B basis and i would recommend that is all you do - there are so many great restaurants nearby that you would miss out if you ate in the hotel every night. There is a great English Tea Shop below the hotel that does great cakes!
The roof top pool is not massive, probably about 20 metres by 5 metres, it has no shallow end though, so is not good for young kids (1.6m depth all over), and it could do with a clean out (gritty on the bottom). There are loo's and shower's beside the pool, and plenty of sun beds, with a collection of pot plants to make it look nice.
The hotel would suit most type of traveller, except maybe those with young families due to the pool not being suitable - but there is a fabulous beach less than 5 minutes away that would probably suffice instead!
We took a taxi to and from the airport - 30 & 35 euros, which between the three of us worked out not to badly priced.
We would all go back again as the value for money was really good.
